If they are going determine that the amount saved per taxpayer as indicated in the DOGE tracker is what is to be the amount refunded , then we have a long way to go before the American people begin to really appreciate this action by Trump. Right now we are only at $350 per taxpayer.
An extra 0 would be nice.

We’ll see. I’d rather they abolish the IRS / income tax and go to a Fair Tax system. And property taxes need to go away too. Why am I still forced to pay taxes on property I own and bought over 12 years ago?

I'd rather get the nation out of debt first.
Confiscating China's property and assets in the U.S. to pay for Covid would go a long way.

Getting the debt down should be priority #1, but I understand that sending money back to taxpayers keeps then onboard with continuing the work.

I am also a supporter of confiscation of ALL CHINESE owned assets in the US. If you are not an allied nation you do not own ANYTHING in the US. We should also do as the Chinese did after WW2, refuse to pay any money owed to China. Use the same excuse they did, “That was the other guy that borrowed all that”

I'm a bit of a history buff but my interest isn't usually in the Asian theater. Can you give a cliff's notes summary on what you're referring to here?

I don't think they'll split the entire savings evenly amongst the 150 million-ish tax payers.
He's calling it a dividend, which would mean a portion thereof.

I think they'll use a bulk of the savings to address REAL issues/concerns of USA citizens and stop giving money away to illegal aliens and foreign pet projects.
Clean up our own backyard first and then knock on our neighbors' doors.
Let's take care of our veterans that are struggling with depression, PTSD, homelessness, etc.
Let's get our first responders proper and latest technology equipment.
Let's fix our infrastructure, repave streets, tear down rotting decrepit buildings, etc.

We just need to focus the money on the things that benefit ALL US citizens equally, and not special interest groups or 1/2 of 1/2 percent of the population.
And we certainly shouldn't be shipping off funds to teach underwater basket weaving to Egyptian camels, or show someone how to avoid stereotypes in Taiwan.

And someone already said it.
I want to see ALL the Rs, Ds, Is, Ls, and every other elected crook getting perp walked at the very end of this.
Follow the money trails and arrest every single one of these scumbags that stole our money and used it for their own personal piggybank and pet projects.

I'd like a flat tax.
EVERY person and EVERY company pay the same percent.
That way if you make more, you pay more, and if you make less, you pay less, but EVERYONE pays something and pays it justly.
If you get a raise, so does the government.
If you take a pay cut, so does the government.
This would force the government to BUDGET their money just like every other person/family does.
And yes, the millionaires and billionaires pay more than the middle class.
They're just not unfairly penalized for being more successful.

Yes! Property tax needs to go, IndySteel!
So does the death/estate tax.
You mean I save my whole life, money AFTER the government took a big juicy bite out of each and everyone of my paychecks, and after I've paid my bills, and what money I've managed to put away I want to leave to my surviving family, but first the government wants one more chuck out of my account AGAIN?!?!?

Cause if you were a Harris voter you would have to be a Trump hater. There was no other reason to vote for the cackling hyena.
