The official DOGE TRACKER is here!

Honestly, how many are going to respond that they didn’t do anything?

The resistance. "I'm not going to reply to some e-mail from Musk!"

I think you may be surprised.

If we’re judging whether what a person does is necessary, that’s a different story.

Once the resistance is ferreted out, then AI will analyze what the employees describe.

Musk fired 90% of Twitter employees and the site improved.

Well that blows.
DOGE was at $55 billion now down to $51.
Must have reconsidered on one.

With the DC gubmint employees going back to the office, it'll be interesting to see if real estate appraisals go back to normal. Will be great to have the elitist DC pricks go the hell back to wherever they came from

From what I’m hearing, just about every agency is telling their employees not to respond. The next couple days are going to be interesting if nothing else.

My cousin who is on the staff of a Democrat Senator from New Mexico is losing his **** on FB again, this time about cuts to the Forest Service.
My first thought was they didn't help much in Los Angeles, did they?

All they know how to do is tax, spend, waste and steal. The thought of smaller government and not bigger,is horrifying.

They see it as their money to do with as they please without consequences or oversight.

No wonder they're all going batshit crazy.

The truth of the matter is that it is already too late. The interest on our debt is just under $900 billion a year. Without trillions in cuts like really ******* soon to get that debt going the other way, we are going to reach a point where we will be unable to service that debt. When that happens, you get economic collapse.

This **** should have been done when the debt was under $1 trillion. But everyone, the citizenry included, enjoyed our government being all things to everyone. Now we have so many people dependent on government that if we cut too much some people, probably a substantial number, will simply not be able to survive. This will lead to unrest and violence and destruction of property. It could really spiral.

While I admire and agree with the effort, this probably isn’t going to end well.

It's worth the effort to atleast go down fighting.

Oh I agree. Just the way it’s going, all the obstruction from activist judges, I just think it ends badly for this country. But then I’m a pessimist by nature, so I have a pretty negative view of most everything.

my understanding is that this is focused more on the "invalid" employees (for lack of better term) - those who are set up as working a job that is not consequential and therefore is "filled" with a bogus SSN. I'd seen that some staffers could have a SSN for a job that they're listed for, but the job is essentially bullshit that does nothing. Yet they collect a(nother) check from the bloated assed goobermint.

Admittedly, I don't know but would suspect those cuts to the Forest Service will be those working inside the DC beltway behind a desk, rather than the boots on the ground folks.

I think the requirement does two things:

1. Identifies the "resistance" since as you pointed out, answering the e-mail should not be a difficult task.
2. Identify employees who respond but don't actually do anything - and there are quite a few who fall in that category.

Anybody who performs legitimate work and does a worthwhile task will have no problems with the e-mail. So the "burden" is almost non-existent, right? Let's wait on the screeching from Fed employees about how onerous this task is in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
Welcome to my life in the private sector.
I have to email my regional manager a report every Friday.

Trump Fired After Forgetting To Reply To Elon's Email

WASHINGTON, D.C. — America's new golden age came screeching to an unexpected halt today, as news broke that President Donald Trump had been fired for forgetting to reply to Elon Musk's email.

Trump reportedly missed the deadline to respond to the email from the Department of Government Efficiency requiring all federal employees to list five things they worked on last week. Despite Trump accomplishing an impressive list of tasks, he failed to reply to the email.

"A rule is a rule," Musk said when asked by reporters to comment on Trump's abrupt departure. "He was the one who signed off on the idea. Any government employee who did not respond to the email with what they accomplished within the allotted time was to be terminated. Presidents are not immune. It's unfortunate for his second term to come to an end this way, but we simply cannot afford to make any exceptions. The United States wishes Mr. Trump well in his future endeavors."

President Trump, though disappointed, understood the decision. "We had a great run," he said to reporters as he left the White House. "I thought for sure I had sent the email, but I apparently left it open on my phone without hitting "send," do you believe it? A killer. What a killer. My son distracted me with a meme, unfortunately. It was a meme. A pretty good one, but not great. And now we're fired. How do you like that? It's sad."

At publishing time, Trump had called Vice President JD Vance "Elon's Pet" in a Truth Social post after learning Vance had replied to the email and kept his job.

Are the forest services and the National Park Service one and the same? I spent the first 20 years of my life looking out my front door at the Antietam National Battlefield and the number of park rangers and maintenance workers was baffling. Projects were like the state road crew…one guy working while 4 others watched . That was in the 70’s-90’s. Can’t imagine it has gotten better.

The first 20 years of your life?
Wow..You were quite cognizant and absorbed things quite well as an infant! Lol

It’s going to come down to a decision between cut 80% of the government to keep 20% of the absolute necessities going or do nothing and lose 100% when it fails to cover the debt.

Ok. The tracker needs 1 CRITICAL feature added.
For every one of those ridiculous contracts, show who voted for it.
Put the roll out there so I can call my reps and say "knock it the **** off."

That's the problem. Nobody voted for any of it. USAID was set up as a slush fund so no elected officials have their fingerprints on anything. It's just a nameless bureaucracy that spends your money. That's why it's laughable when they complain nobody elected Elon. Nobody elected the hundreds of thousands of bureaucrats that waste money and can destroy your life with a few phone calls.

Yep. This machine was designed to operate through any administration. It doesn't matter if it's Republican or demoncrat.
