The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Who is we? The alt-right base? Russians? Trump financiers?

As a general rule for myself, "we" refers to people who aren't hate filled because the entire world owes somebody something and who want nothing more than a race and class war in America if it means furthering their own influence. Primarily Liberal politicians and their complicate media shills. They would gladly see the destruction of America if they could take charge of the ashes afterwards and start over.

I swear, every time I read a post of yours, the hypocrisy just ooozes - no, it pours - from your words. This is exactly how you behave on this board. Then again, you embody that old saying "We hate in others what we see in ourselves." It's almost comical how each time you vent, each time you have a melt down or episode with someone here, the complaint you offer describes you perfectly. It's...un...canny.

Headline News - Democrats lose ground with millennials

(Reuters) - Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among millennials as its candidates head into the crucial midterm congressional elections, according to the Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll.

Reuters Poll: Young White Americans Flee Democrat Party In Droves Since Trump’s Election

Young white Americans are fleeing the Democrat Party en masse following the election of President Donald Trump in 2016, a new poll reveals. The latest Reuters/Ipsos Poll surveyed more than 16,000 registered voters between the ages 18 to 34 over the course of the last three months of 2018. This same poll was conducted in 2016 around the same time period.

Young white Americans, in 2016, favored Democrats over Republicans in 2016 by a 47 to 33 percent margin. Since Trump’s election — and his booming economy which has secured high-paying jobs and record job opportunities — young white Americans’ favoritism for Democrats has disappeared.

Bwahahaha....Time to pull your head out of your *** Tibsy. You worship a false narrative and the future is bleak.

Last week, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — a self-described socialist — defeated incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in a Democratic House primary in New York City. Her win, a dramatic upset in the primary elections, was an early indicator of America’s recent turn toward socialism.

Recent polls show that 36 percent of Americans between the age of 18 and 29 favor socialism over capitalism. Socialism’s stigma seems to be fading as fewer Americans remember the spectacular failure of the Soviet Union — the largest socialism experiment in history — and most are seemingly unaware of the current economic disaster in socialist Venezuela.

Politicians such as Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and now newcomer Ocasio-Cortez, appeal to young voters with promises of free college and healthcare while demonizing capitalism — the very system under which they have flourished.

Bernie Sanders owns three homes, one in Burlington, VT, another on Capitol Hill in D.C., and a four-bedroom vacation home on the shore of Lake Champlain.
Sanders qualifies as an “one percenter” — the income bracket he so frequently attacked on the campaign trail. Though his annual income is ‘only’ $200 thousand per year, his $800 thousand in book royalties have elevated him well beyond the $389 thousand per year threshold to be considered top one percent. And that’s saying nothing of his high-paid speaking engagements and investment partnerships.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who campaigned on the narrative of being “a girl from the Bronx,” actually grew up in Yorktown Heights.
She attended Boston University in Massachusetts, a school that costs approximately $70, 000 per year.

“More than anything else, Ocasio-Cortez’s story demonstrates everything that is great about capitalism. Her favorite line of a zip code determining a child’s destiny runs completely contradictory to her very own story. Her father, born in New York City, her mother a native of Puerto Rico, and she was able to move out of the Bronx … attend a prestigious university, and is all but a shoe-in to become a Congresswoman come November. She’s 28 years old, by the way,” “Capitalism enables a child to change their stars. Socialism does not. This is the real story but she chose to exclude all the best parts. Bernie did the same thing.”

These wide eyed Millennials may clammer for "free ****" now but when the bill comes due it won't take long to see the man behind the curtain is not what they were promised.

President Trump says military keeps US 'safe, strong, proud' at July 4 festivities

President Donald Trump on Wednesday praised the U.S. military for keeping America "safe, strong, proud, mighty and free" and used the Independence Day holiday to thank them for being willing to put their lives on the line in defense of the nation.

"Two hundred and 42 years ago on July 4, 1776, America's founders adopted the Declaration of independence and changed the course of human history," said Trump, addressing hundreds of military families attending a holiday picnic from a balcony overlooking the lawn.

"But our freedom exists only because there are brave Americans willing to give their lives, to defend it and defend our great country," added Trump, who was accompanied by his wife, Melania. "America's liberty has been earned through the blood, sweat and sacrifice of American patriots."

When will the winning ever end?

Mexico implements retaliatory tariffs on US agricultural products
http://thehill.com/policy/finance/3...-retaliatory-tariffs-us-agricultural-products

Mexico moved forward Thursday with its second round of retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods, according to a Politico report.

Most of the latest tariffs will be applied to U.S. agricultural products, including apples, cranberries, cheeses, potatoes, pork and whiskey. The products will be hit with a tariff of between 15 and 25 percent, Politico reported.

Those penalties will complete the roughly $3 billion worth of retaliatory tariffs Mexico implemented in response to steel and aluminum duties the Trump administration announced earlier this year.

While the Trump administration initially exempted Mexico, Canada, the European Union and other allies from steel and aluminum tariffs, it moved forward with implementing them citing national security reasons.

Mexico joins Canada, the European Union and China among nations that have prepared retaliatory measures in response to President Trump’s trade policies.

Despite international and domestic pushback on the tariffs, Trump has refused to back down, prompting growing concerns over of a looming global trade war.

Want to bet on who blinks first? The hate is strong with you.

Why would it involve 'hate' to raise the issue a full blown trade war will do nothing but hurt American farmers and businesses? DBS will be along shortly to tell me to **** off and die. How dare I question the personal savior and comic book hero for many on this board? I agree hate is in the air, but it's not coming from my end.

My point is that this country has taken it on the chin, tariff wise, for years, and now because we're saying enough is enough, it's somehow our problem.

From where I stand, it can only lead to negotiations with other countries. Kind of like what is being asked of NATO nations at the moment. No more free rides.

I'm willing to give it a chance. Personally, Trump comes across as crude, but he is getting results, whether you admit to it or not, and I know you won't.

I don't understand how anyone figured other countries would just roll over and give the U.S. better trade deals. Of course we have to go down this road for a little bit. It was nice Trump built a 20% rise in the stock market his first year because now he has some money in the bank to play hardball.

I mean, every time Tibs puts up a link that says "X country does this" just tells me they are going to hurt too. And I KNOW the Canadian and Mexican stock markets didn't gain 20% in 2017 so when these trade wars effect their stock markets, there Presidents will get blow-back. That's how it works. I get this impression Tibs thinks all these other countries aren't effected at all. They can just retaliate with more tariffs and only the U.S. suffers. Doesn't work like that. When you threaten to bog down global trade looking for better deals (like Trump is doing) it will bog down ALL the markets. All of them. And it's just a matter of who's economy is better positioned to outlast the others. Based on the stock market problems in Europe, I'm guessing the U.S. will be able to keep chugging along for a while until Europe/Mexico/Canada decide to offer some concessions.

Who's going to blink first and say "this doesn't make sense, let's sit down and figure something out". I'm banking it's not Trump.

Not sure I'd use the term 'results' at least not in the way you intended it.

'We are the casualty:' US pig farmers brace for second round of pork tariffs from China, Mexico

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/04/us-pork-producers-brace-for-new-pork-tariffs-from-china-mexico.html

  • U.S. pork producers are about to be hit by a second batch of hefty retaliatory tariffs from China and Mexico that has some large producers predicting they will lose big money.
  • China is scheduled Friday to start collecting an additional 25 percent tariff on imported U.S. pork, which when added with the previous import taxes will mean a tax exceeding 70 percent.
  • Industry analysts say China's high import tax essentially slams the door shut on U.S. pork imports into China, which also will start collecting 25 percent tariffs for soybeans Friday.

U.S. pork producers are about to be bitten by a second batch of hefty retaliatory tariffs from China and Mexico — and that has some large producers predicting they could lose big money and be forced to invest overseas.

Executives say the pork industry has been expanding in recent years, in part on the expectation of export opportunities that would continue to support growth. However, the threat of a trade war is adding uncertainty and driving fear. One in 4 hogs raised in the U.S. is sold overseas, and the Chinese are the world's top consumers of pork.

"We put a halt on all investment, not just because we will be losing money, but because we don't know if growing in the U.S. is the right move if we won't be an exporting country," said Ken Maschhoff, chairman of Maschhoff Family Foods and co-owner of the nation's largest family-owned pork producer.

Maschhoff said the farm industry has been "asked to be good patriots. We have been. But I don't want to be the patriot who dies at the end of the war. If we go out of business, it's tough to look at my kids and the 550 farm families that look us into the eye and our 1,400 employees."

Mexico imposed a 10 percent tariff on chilled and frozen pork muscle cuts effective June 5, and that import tax is set to double to 20 percent on Thursday. Mexico's retaliatory action followed the Trump administration's duties on imported aluminum and steel.

China, meantime, is scheduled to start collecting an additional 25 percent import duty Friday on American pork products as it targets $34 billion worth of U.S. goods in response to President Donald Trump's action against Beijing for alleged intellectual property theft.
<section class="cols2"><article>
China also is set to add tariffs this week on U.S. soybeans, corn, wheat, cotton, whiskey and dairy, as well as U.S. autos. Nearly $20 billion in U.S. agricultural exports went to China last year, with the more than half of that amount coming from soybeans.

"It's pretty apparent that these countries will go after, by and large, Trump supporters from a political base standpoint since items exported by red states are the ones being targeted," said Maschhoff, a past president of the National Pork Producers Council and a fifth-generation hog producer.

Ah ha ha ha ha!!!!!!! The Trump rally in Montana is great! He said that Maxine Waters’ IQ is probably around 60. He just called her mentally retarded, ROFL!

In other words, Tibs believes we should keep taking it on the chin with all of these trade agreements that benefit other countries but not the USA.

Trump is working to improve trade for the USA.

That, to Tibs and Liberals, is evil. America should be torn apart, piece by piece in their "worldly" view.

German coalition parties agree tougher migrant policy

BERLIN (AFP) - The three parties in Chancellor Angela Merkel's shaky coalition government on Thursday rallied around a tougher policy on migration and asylum aimed at placating conservative allies. At the end of a month-long dispute, Merkel's three-party coalition agreed to a compromise under which the number of asylum-seekers in the country will be reduced.

The parties in power -- Merkel's centre-right CDU, the hardline conservative Bavarian CSU ally and the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) -- agreed on a "reorganisation of asylum policy" in Germany, SPD chief Andrea Nahles said after a summit meeting in Berlin.

In high-stakes crisis talks overnight Monday to Tuesday, Merkel advocated tightening border controls and setting up closed "transit centres" to hold migrants on the Austrian frontier.

Trump beats promise to cut new refugees, down 66% from Obama

The Trump administration beat the president’s goal of trimming new refugee admissions from the 100,000 brought in by former President Obama, slashing the population by 66 percent.

New data from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees showed that the U.S. took in 33,000 refugees last year, down from 97,000 under Obama, who had pushed to raise the ceiling to 110,000.

President Trump vowed to reverse that flow, raising concerns that refugees were not being vetted well by the United Nations. He pushed to cut refugees to 45,000 a year.
