The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Good to see the strong numbers on the economy released today, an economy which has been chugging along very well for years now.

And fyi the 4.1% would tie for 5th strongest Q under George W Bush. And it would tie for 13th strongest Q under Clinton. Not to take anything away from Trump, just important to not lose sight of the historical perspective.

You can't honestly be that stupid. Well, yes you can and you are. That's fake news. Trump's economy is crushing Obama's pathetic economy. Holy ****, just look at the stock market alone. 4.1% GDP growth represents a much higher dollar figure in Trumps economy than Limpwrist could ever dream of.

To be fair... obama inheirted the disaster created by his two predecessors... I don’t think he handled them well, but his first two years were crap not really his fault

He had the house and the senate and they focused on giving a trillion dollars away to unions and political friends. Then they focused on Obama care which wouldn't be paid for until after he left office. He is fully to blame. Hell look what Trump has done in just under 2 years.

BUSINESS IS BOOMING!

'It is indeed a big one': Trump hails new report as U.S. economy surges to 4.1 percent growth

President Donald Trump hailed a new economic report showing the U.S. economy grew at a clip of 4.1 per cent in the second quarter

'It is indeed a big one,' Trump said. Trump said he was 'honored' by the growth figure and called it a 'great day.'

The president made an unscheduled appearance on the South Lawn of the White House, flanked by his economic advisors, to tout the news.

He promised the high growth rate was not a 'one-time' thing.

'As the trade deals come in one by one we're going to go a lot higher than these numbers and these are great numbers,' Trump said.

'These numbers are very, very sustainable. This isn't a one-time shot,' Trump said.

He also made a sunny prediction about the next quarter. The latest numbers reflect April through June.

'I think the numbers are going to be outstanding. We've accomplished an economic turnaround of historic proportions,' Trump said.

'We're on track to hit the highest annual average growth rate in over 13 years,' Trump said, predicting it could be 'substantially over 3 per cent' on an annualized basis.

Trump called it an 'American economic miracle.'

'We are the economic envy of the entire world,' Trump added, adding the world leaders compliment the U.S. economy when they talk to him.

Trump also hailed a more than $50 billion reduction in the U.S. trade deficit.

Apples and oranges hamster. This is a single quarter we’re all circle jerking over, relative to yearly %’s in your chart. Check what quarterly rates were in 2017 for instance, or in Q1 of this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad the economy is showing healthy growth. Just hope you guys don’t sprain a wrist patting yourselves on the back over a single quarter of good numbers.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the economy is booming, tariffs are dropping, and Rocketman is toeing the line..

Yeah, after I posted it, I realized it wasn't broken into quarters. My bad.

How did I know Tibs would be here to poo-poo good old American progress. What a ******* surprise....

Winning!

Trump supporters can sue city and police for attacks by protesters, court says

Supporters of presidential candidate Donald Trump who were roughed up by protesters at a June 2016 campaign rally in San Jose can sue the city and its police for allegedly putting them in danger and then failing to protect them, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.

If the allegations are true, “the officers acted with deliberate indifference to a known and obvious danger” and violated the Trump supporters’ constitutional rights” said the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.

Twenty plaintiffs in the suit said they were beaten or struck by objects thrown by the protesters, and one plaintiff said an officer told her that police had been instructed not to intervene.

“The attendees allege the officers shepherded them into a violent crowd of protesters and actively prevented them from reaching safety,” Judge Dorothy Nelson said in the 3-0 ruling that upheld a federal judge’s refusal to dismiss the suit.

The 1st quarter growth was revised upward from 2.0% to 2.2%. The 2nd quarter growth is very likely to be revised upward as well, given the significant increase in consumer spending and business investment. If revised upward again, the 2nd quarter GDP growth will be closer to 4.5% than 4.0%. The real question is if the growth can be traced to an export "dump" to beat tariffs that cannot be matched in the 3rd quarter. If so, then the growth rate is not sustainable.

Alternatively, if the United States gets concessions on tariffs from both the EU (already in process, it seems) and China (this one will take a bit longer), then the growth is very sustainable. VERY sustainable. In fact, if our trading partners back off their tariffs and we see an uptick in exports, an annual growth rate above 3.0% is pretty much assured, and a growth rate nearing 4.0% very possible.

SHUT IT DOWN!!!

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...nt-if-democrats-dont-fund-us-mexico-wall.html

DEVELOPING – President Trump said on Sunday that he would be willing to shut down the federal government if the Democrats do not agree to Republican demands about funding for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump wrote on Twitter that border security "includes the Wall! Must get rid of Lottery, Catch & Release etc. and finally go to system of Immigration based on MERIT! We need great people coming into our Country!"

The White House has been embroiled in controversy over the ongoing efforts to reunite families separated at the border who were attempting to enter the United States illegally.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who is the majority whip, told the Washington Examiner that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., was once ready to offer $25 billion in border security funding in exchange for a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers.

However, Schumer has since withdrawn that offer, which at the time was rejected by Republicans and President Trump, who wanted additional immigration reforms.

Democratic lawmakers and candidates, including New York City Mayor Bill de Blasion, New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and New York gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon, have called for the abolishment of ICE.

In April, Trump threatened to shut down the government during a rally in Michigan, stating that more money was needed to fund the border wall.

“We come up again on September 28th and if we don’t get border security we will have no choice, we will close down the country because we need border security,” he said, according to Reuters.

The federal government shut down briefly for three days in January after lawmakers could not agree on funding for immigration reform, border security and disaster relief.

Trump, who made security and building a border wall a centerpiece of his 2016 presidential campaign,

If Trump were a Democrat Melania would have legendary First Lady status like Jackie Kennedy. Instead she gets ridiculed by late night comedians.

That said if he were a Democrat, the press would be ecstatic about the economy, tax cuts, trade negations, border security, etc. He just picked the wrong side fortunately.

I think the Dimocraps would still be pissed about all those successes. They wants Americans to live in squalor and be ruled by E.U.

Pathetic. Old fake news from June based completely on an SRSS poll for CNN. Really pathetic.
