Supreme Court reinstates Trump's ban on trans servicemembers in the military
The Supreme Court handed down a pair of orders on Tuesday that effectively reinstate the Trump administration’s ban on trans military service.
While the Republican-controlled Supreme Court was always likely to take up these cases eventually — and always likely to rule in favor of Trump — the Court’s decision to permit the Trump administration to stay these lower court orders suggests that the Court’s majority is especially eager to uphold Trump’s policy.
Even setting aside the fact that the Court’s Republican majority is unlikely to be sympathetic to transgender civil rights under any circumstances, courts are especially likely to defer to the elected branches on questions involving the military or national security.

You folks are just setting yourself up for an additional 4 years of anguish if you put all your hopes in more polling data. Those poll numbers are in no way reflective of what I see around me every day as far as people's feelings on Trump. Then again I do live in flyover country far away from the Progressive utopias of New York and California so what would I know?

My daughters both suffered through the fallout of those policies. Learning took a back seat to "social justice". It was mostly handled with kid gloves. One exception was the Ferguson riots and the impact on our minority community. Our principal at the time handled it with grace, recognizing past wrongs that stirred strong feelings and also addressing law and order and support of our officers. I was impressed with her savvy and didnt feel slighted in the least.
