The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

If anyone in America trusts the media after this, they are ******* stupid. Russia. Again. Come on. Bernie Sanders is a dirty communist, but whatever he is, the establishment is worse.

So Russia running some fake news is a greater danger to America than say, the Democratic Party rigging the Democratic primary in 2016 and trying to ruin Sanders because they don’t like him. Who is the danger to the American electorate again?

Until the complicit, one-sided, propaganda media changes, they remain and enemy of the state and are one of the greatest dangers my kids face moving forward.

My college-aged son received this a few days ago from Bernie's socialist workers. I have hope for him yet.

Supreme Court allows 'public charge' rule to take effect nationwide

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration on Friday night in a case that contested the president's "public charge" rule, which critics have called a "wealth test" for legal immigrants.

The policy in question, the Immigration and Nationality Act, would make it harder for immigrants who are "likely at any time to become a public charge" to obtain green cards. The policy discourages legal immigrants in the process of obtaining permanent legal status or citizenship from using public assistance, including Medicaid, housing vouchers and food stamps.

The case heard by the court, Wolf v. Cook County, sought to reject the policy's effect in Illinois. The district court filed a preliminary injunction, which temporarily halted the policy in the state and sent the case to the Supreme Court. On Friday, the five conservative justices ruled in favor of the stay, while the liberal justices opposed it.

The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in January to lift a nationwide injunction imposed by a federal judge in New York while the case played out in appeals court. Last week, Solicitor General Noel Francisco sent a request asking the court to do the same for an injunction imposed by an Illinois district court.

More than 6 in 10 expect Trump to be reelected: poll

More than six in 10 people say they expect President Trump to be reelected, according to a poll released Sunday.

The CBS News-YouGov poll found 65 percent of voters say Trump will “definitely” or “probably” win the 2020 election, compared to 35 percent who say he will “definitely not” or “probably not” win.

More than nine in 10 Republicans are confident Trump will continue to be president, with more than a third of Democrats agreeing.

Although only 42 percent of Democratic voters in the poll have decided who they will vote for, six in 10 of all voters say their vote won’t be affected by who the Democratic nominee is or what Trump does in the next year.

The theoretical matchup races between Trump and the top six candidates are close, with no more than 3 percentage points between the Democratic candidate and the president.

But no Democratic candidate obtains more than about a quarter of voters who believe they will defeat Trump. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) gets the highest score at 27 percent, who think he will win against the president.

Among Democratic voters only, 49 percent say former Vice President Joe Biden could beat Trump, and 46 percent say Sanders could. Behind them, 36 percent of Democratic voters say Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The CBS News-YouGov poll was conducted between Feb. 20 to 22, with 10,000 registered voters, including 6,498 self-identified Democrats. The margin of error for the whole sample is 1.2 percentage points. Among Democratic primary voters, the margin of error is 1.7 percentage points.

President Trump’s Mounting Victories on the Courts Have Liberals Worried

If it’s not “the economy, stupid,” as James Carville famously exhorted, then it’s the judiciary, smarty-pants. Those two issues turn out Republicans and conservatives more than any others in presidential elections, and it’s a sure bet the latter is why reluctant conservatives rallied to Donald Trump in 2016 — well, most of them, anyway. And Trump has delivered in both areas, but especially on judicial appointments.

His biggest triumph — shared by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — could well be the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the famously far-left appellate panel. The Los Angeles Times calls Trump’s ten appointments to the Ninth Circuit a “shock wave” that has flipped the court:

In few places has the effect been felt more powerfully than in the sprawling 9th Circuit, which covers California and eight other states. Because of Trump’s success in filling vacancies, the San Francisco-based circuit, long dominated by Democratic appointees, has suddenly shifted to the right, with an even more pronounced tilt expected in the years ahead.

Trump has now named 10 judges to the 9th Circuit — more than one-third of its active judges — compared with seven appointed by President Obama over eight years.

“Trump has effectively flipped the circuit,” said 9th Circuit Judge Milan D. Smith Jr., an appointee of President George W. Bush.

To assess the early impact of these appointments, The Times interviewed several judges on the 9th Circuit. Some either declined to discuss their colleagues or inner deliberations or refused to be quoted by name, saying they were not authorized to speak about what goes on behind the scenes.

To be sure, some of the new appointees to the 9th Circuit have quickly won the respect of their colleagues. But the rapid influx of so many judges — most without judicial experience — has put strains upon the court and stirred criticism among judges appointed by both Democratic and Republican presidents.

The term “flipped” seems pretty overblown, at least for now. Readers find out a little further in that Democratic appointees still outnumber Republican appointees 16-13 on the panel. Even that’s a little misleading, as Ed Whelan notes, as a few of the Republicans are considered moderate-to-liberal, including the one that claims the court has been “flipped”:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This headline is simply wrong. Democrats have appointed 16 of the circuit’s active judges. <a href="https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@realDonaldTrump</a> and both Bushes a total of 13. <a href="https://twitter.com/POTUS?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@POTUS</a> judges are superb and some en banc panels could conceivably have majority GOP-appointees, but lousy headline. <a href="https://t.co/518RqIWvv2">https://t.co/518RqIWvv2</a></p>— Hugh Hewitt (@hughhewitt) <a href="https://twitter.com/hughhewitt/status/1231229639521120259?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 22, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

If there’s any “shock wave” involved, Hugh Hewitt writes, it’s that the Ninth Circuit is finally back in the mainstream of appellate courts:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The <a href="https://twitter.com/mauradolan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@mauradolan</a> story is much more nuanced though full of the standard left wing anonymous gripping#. The 9th —since the great influx of Carter judges which Dolan notes— has been a disaster for property rights and orderly rule of law decision making for decades. <a href="https://t.co/xTXgXLnys0">https://t.co/xTXgXLnys0</a></p>— Hugh Hewitt (@hughhewitt) <a href="https://twitter.com/hughhewitt/status/1231230747626942465?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 22, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Oddly enough, the Los Angeles Times never mentions the original shock wave that made all this possible. Then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid changed Senate tradition in his 2013 “nuclear option” by using a simple majority to change rules to bar filibusters on judicial confirmations. That gave Barack Obama carte blanche to stack the DC Circuit, but it also placed a powerful tool in the hands of subsequent Senate majorities of the same party as the president. Voila! Trump now has 51 appellate appointments under his belt, and if he wins a second term on the basis of protecting the judiciary, undoubtedly will get dozens more confirmed as well.

The complaints in the article over Trump’s ten appointments are, by contrast, overblown. They’re divisive! They don’t follow the rules! They didn’t have judicial experience! Closer to the end, however, other voices remind readers that both Obama and Clinton appointed non-judges to the Ninth Circuit and that everyone has a learning curve when taking an appellate post.

This “shock wave” is just a nonsense comment, an attempt to paint these appointments as some sort of unprecedented makeover just seven years after Reid and Obama did the same damned thing on the other coast. It’s as overblown as the hyperbole over the Ninth Circuit’s rate of reversals.

It does serve one purpose, however — to remind conservatives and moderates about the consequences of the next election. Who do they want to see appointing the next two Supreme Court justices and dozens of appellate judges — Bernie Sanders or Donald Trump? It’s still going to be the judiciary, smartypants.

Dr. Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., opened up to the Daily Caller about her uncle and praised President Donald Trump in her Black History Month message.

“I believe if my uncle the reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the prophet, were here today he would encourage America, African Americans, all Americans, and people around the world to love, to forgive, to communicate and to pray — that’s the most important message we could have,” King said.

She also went on to condemn those who disrespect the office of the president.

AHMEDABAD, India — President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi cemented a budding friendship on Monday with a joint rally in India attended by more than 110,000 people.

The two men held hands and heaped praise on each other in front of an noisy, enthusiastic crowd in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, Modi’s home state, in what's claimed to be the largest cricket stadium in the world.

President Trump Kicks Off India Trip With Speech to 110,000

President Trump and first lady Melania visited the Taj Mahal Monday, hours after the U.S. leader gave a rousing speech to more than 110,000 at a cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, India.

The president and first lady strolled around the grounds of India's most famous attraction, taking in the sights. It was a rare occasion of the president visiting a cultural site on an international visit.

Trump, who once owned the Trump Taj Mahal hotel and casino in Atlantic City, N.J. which was inspired by the Indian landmark, had never visited the Indian site until now. The president’s daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were also on hand, taking photos in front of the building.

Earlier, Trump was greeted by large crowds at the rally where he announced a $3 billion deal that will send state-of-the-art military helicopters to the country.

The rally, titled "Namaste Trump," was a sequel to the "Howdy, Modi" event Trump held with prime minister Narendra Modi in Houston last September.

Trump's motorcade passed seemingly endless crowds in Ahmedabad with many cheering and waving American flags on the way to the 110,000 capacity Sardar Patel Stadium where the rally was conducted.

Large billboards were spread throughout the route showing Modi alongside Trump and his wife Melania.

Near the entrance to the stadium, camels on either side of the road were seen greeting the motorcade, which the announcers described as a "camelcade." The largest cricket stadium in the world appeared to be full, with banners displaying the Trump's name throughout.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The world's biggest democracy welcomes you, Mr. Trump. <br><br>We may be in Gujarat, but entire India is excited to invite you.<br><br>The arrival of POTUS, FLOTUS, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner gives the Indo-US ties a familial touch and adds warmth to it: PM Modi <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NamasteTrump?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#NamasteTrump</a> <a href="https://t.co/0yFUKbHQqx">pic.twitter.com/0yFUKbHQqx</a></p>— BJP (@BJP4India) <a href="https://twitter.com/BJP4India/status/1231856496247312385?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">February 24, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Before Modi and Trump came out on stage, the song "Macho Man" by the Village People was heard playing in the stadium. When the music stopped, they arrived on stage, and both leaders held the arms of each other into the air.

Shortly after each country's national anthem played, Modi began speaking to the crowd about shared values and ideas as Trump sat in his chair beside Melania. All three were located in a large bulletproof chamber that took up most of the stage.

When Modi handed the podium to Trump, the president thanked those in attendance for the welcome he received, adding that he and Melania would remember the hospitality given.

"America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people," Trump said. He announced that he will sell $3 billion worth of state of art helicopters and other equipment to the country.

"I am pleased to announce that tomorrow our representatives will sign deals to sell over $3 billion in the absolute finest state of the art military helicopters and other equipment to the Indian armed forces," Trump said.

He also announced that his administration is working with Pakistan to crack down on terrorists operating in the country. At the same time, he exclaimed his relationship with Pakistan is a "very good one."

"The United States and India are also firmly united in our iron-clad resolve to defend our citizens from the threat of radical Islamic terrorism," Trump said. "Both of our countries have been hurt by the pain and turmoil of terrorism and that terrorism brings."

Trump gave his predictions on poverty and the future of India on the heels of a 2019 United Nations Development Programme report which said that 271 million people were lifted out of poverty from 2005 to 2017.

"India will soon be the home of the biggest middle class anywhere in the world," Trump said. "And within less than 10 years, extreme poverty in your country is projected to completely disappear. The potential for India is absolutely incredible."

Sanders sends Democratic establishment into panic mode

"In 30-plus years of politics, I’ve never seen this level of doom," said one prominent centrist Democrat.

Moderates firmly believe a Sanders primary win would seal Donald Trump’s reelection. “It’s this incredible sense that we’re hurtling to the abyss. I also think we could lose the House. And if we do, there would be absolutely no way to stop [Trump]. Today is the most depressed I’ve ever been in politics.”
