The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

Except the story is 100% false. Trump pays the taxes ahead of time in quarterly payments and winds up zeroing out taxes come the filing deadline, like everybody should aim to do. He ACTUALLY paid more than $5 million in taxes for 2016 and 2017.

We kinda did something g similar because of that year we got crushed with the new tax law. So wife and I are both zero and have an additional 100 come out. So come tax time with the little things they do we are about even. Couple hundred most we owe.

I've paid quarterly for decades to avoid the hit in April, where I end up paying literally nothing, but it doesn't mean I didn't pay Federal taxes.

Did you guys even read the article, it said he paid estimated taxes for those years, but it turned out his liability was only $750, so in lieu of refunds of the estimated taxes,
he chose to carry forward what he paid against future liabilities in future years. My guess is he left the money there because the IRS is questioning about 100 million of deductions made
in past years.

Dems are just trying to rile up the stupid people. Unfortunately it works..................b'cause they're stupid.

You are too stupid for words.

No, he did not pay $5.2 million, find out he owes $1500, and tell the Fed to keep the change.

He paid $5.2 million estimated taxes and zeroed out the amount owed, such that he owed an ADDITIONAL $1500 over the two years.

So. I finally read the NYT Trump tax story because I wanted to see what line was being reported for taxes owed and I came across this about the $750 in 2016 and 2017. Per the NYT own story, Trump actually paid to the US Treasury $1 million in 2016 and $4.2 million in 2017. pic.twitter.com/ltnlMG0mKW
— alexandriabrown (@alexthechick) September 28, 2020

Idiot.

It’s why the word “scandal” was in quotes.

Did any living being doubt that it would be an issue for the (D)ims?

Also, from the NYT article:

Mr. Trump paid alternative minimum tax in seven years between 2000 and 2017 — a total of $24.3 million, excluding refunds he received after filing. For 2015, he paid $641,931, his first payment of any federal income tax since 2010.

As he settled into the Oval Office, his tax bills soon returned to form. His potential taxable income in 2016 and 2017 included $24.8 million in profits from sources related to his celebrity status and $56.4 million for the loans he did not repay. The dreaded alternative minimum tax would let his business losses erase only some of his liability.

Each time, he requested an extension to file his 1040; and each time, he made the required payment to the I.R.S. for income taxes he might owe — $1 million for 2016 and $4.2 million for 2017. But virtually all of that liability was washed away when he eventually filed, and most of the payments were rolled forward to cover potential taxes in future years.

To cancel out the tax bills, Mr. Trump made use of $9.7 million in business investment credits, at least some of which related to his renovation of the Old Post Office hotel, which qualified for a historic-preservation tax break. Although he had more than enough credits to owe no taxes at all, his accountants appear to have carved out an allowance for a small tax liability for both 2016 and 2017.

So the amount of contradictory and untrue information is overwhelming. One article says Trump paid no taxes 10 out of 15 years, the NYT says he paid the alternative minimum tax (a brutal 26% or 28% without deductions allowed, except for home improvement loans). The headlines say he paid no income tax, because the "alternative minimum tax" is treated as different than income tax.

The AMT is basically like punching yourself in the balls for two hours.

I figured the AMT up one time for our family and it was crazy!

Is it too early to start thinking about 2024 ?

If we still have a country by then, I really like Richard Grenell TBH. I know there's the whole thing about people accepting a gay man as President of the United States, but the guy just checks all of the boxes for me. He's a dogged fighter like Trump, is incredibly well-versed in world affairs, doesn't flip flop like the majority of politicians & swamp creatures, and unlike Trump, the guy is extremely articulate. He'll savage you and you'll end up likely thanking him afterwards. Case in point:

Granted, that little worm of a 'journalist' certainly didn't thank him, but still got his *** handed to him.

I think this belongs here.

Lies. He never had it. It was a fake. Trump lies again.

Not sure what good it is going to do, other than confirm what everyone already knows. Nobody is going to jail, and that’s a shame.

If nothing else Sarge, it'll confirm all of what he's been saying these past 4 years in the validity of Clinton-ObamaGate which turned out to be the biggest scandal in American history. This should sway a majority of the undecided and independent voters his way. There was also a call by the House and Senate Republicans on Monday to look into the Biden family criminality (probably more political theater). Again, if nothing else, exposes them and swaying voters. Let's be frank, we aren't talking about a lot of voters since we all know folks are going to vote how they're going to vote no matter what at this point. Let's not forget how much the talk of Hillary's emails damaged her in late 2016 and suppressed turnout. Could be a moot point anyway due to their overt voter fraud. We shall see...

If we had an AG worth a damn, Trump wouldn't have had to do this. You can't tell me that the "investigation" is really taking this long for him and Durham to gather enough evidence to start prosecuting a lot of these evil *****. They're obviously kicking the can down the street till after the election. We knew this early this year when they kept delaying the "report". Also, who knows what kind of October Surprise the Deep State has cooking that perhaps they're privy to. I've been saying for the past 3 years how leery I am about those deepfake videos that are getting better and better.

Speaking of Trump's release of these docs, the goalkeepers could be pushing back as Chris Wray, et al, have announced an emergency 11am conference today "On a Matter of National Security". Stay tuned.

Barr and Durham could have been Elliot Ness-level or higher heroes to many Americans, but they're basically "taking a knee" in the Red Zone down 6 points with the way and timing in which this has been handled.

Of course, Barr defended the government's assault on Ruby Ridge and the FBI's actions, so no doubt his job and mission has been to slow walk and soften the landing for all.

Bomma's gonna be pissed...

President Trump has secured the extradition of two members of a notorious ISIS cell nicknamed “The Beatles” that was blamed for the beheadings and killings of several Western hostages, including the former American aid worker Kayla Mueller, officials told Just the News.

The Justice Department is expected to announce at an 11 a.m. News conference that Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh have been brought to the United States for prosecution, officials said.

The two men have been held in a U.S. military installation in Iraq since their capture, and their extradition is considered a major win in the war on terrorism, especially for the families of the victims.

Mueller’s parents are expected to join Vice President Mike Pence at Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate, officials said.

The two men are accused of being part of a four member ISIS cell that kidnapped international hostages in Syria, including Mueller and fellow U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig and U.S. journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff.

A third member of their cell was killed by a U.S. missile earlier this year, while the fourth member has been sentenced to prison in Turkey.

Bomma's gonna be pissed...

I would have seen to it that they accidentally fell out of the airplane while over the middle of the ocean.
