Football analogy:
In my previous career, Joe Theisman was the keynote speaker at our annual meeting one year. He was great.
Regarding motivation he said, "I was never the fastest quarterback. I could run the 40 yard dash in maybe 5 seconds. Now Lawrence Taylor could run the 40 in about 4.6 seconds. But that meant that when LT was chasing me I could run the 40 in 4.5. Motivation."

Probably it will, but why not stop as much as we can? You don't think the cartels are also responsible? This won't solve the problem but it will help to reduce it. You are only against this for PURELY political reasons.

So you’re alright with continuing the “terrible deals with everyone and getting ripped off” and the “reason we are $36 trillion in debt” to reduce the drug problem, but I’m the one motivated by political reasons?

What about all the federal funding the tariffs would’ve created? You think this is a victory because that’s what Trump tells you. It’s nothing more than a modification of the “terrible deal” made by none other than Trump 6 years ago.
