Why are they keeping some of the “money launderers” instead of disbanding it entirely?
 
For as much nonsense that has been uncovered at USAID, I'm sure they did some good. That said, there is enough waste going on there that it needs to be shuttered. That kind of money with no oversight or accountability can only lead to corruption. In fact, it did.

I don't know if they were using it to launder money, but I would be surprised if it wasn't and very little surprises me these days. Just odd how so many people are howling that they can't waste taxpayer money on condoms in Bengladesh or wherever or Sesame Street shows in Iraq. Every American should be upset that our government is spending money on stuff like this when we are $36 trillion in debt. I understand we are never getting out of that debt, but adding to it with irresponsible **** like this is unfathomable, maybe even treasonous. It defies logic.

My thought is that they're howling because they're being told to by folks who'll need to either retire on the money they've already plundered or find other work which might not be so lucrative. Money for nothing...

The howling is being done by those that were waiting for their turn to get that graft. They have been assisting those above them because they knew that they would be able to step up and get their share in time. Now all that money will never flow into their accounts. Hopefully this is the event that will get people that knew what was going on to come forward to rat out those who were on the take. There have to be some spiteful people who are pissed off enough.

Heard about this yesterday. If I’m Trump, not no but **** no. They did everything they could to ensure that fire ended up as bad as it was, and they’ll double down on the failed policies that caused it to be that bad. They would have to make serious changes to how they do business before they’d get even a nickel out of me.
