You realize that Obama had to hold an event under tents outdoors with heads of foreign state because there isn't a large enough facility inside the White House to do so? Did you wet your panties when the greatest nation on Earth had to cater to foreign dignitaries in a tent? Nope. Crickets.

PS...Trump is a real estate developer. I'm sure it's gonna be grand and used for decades to come to properly host the world's leaders. I hope it swells your cankles and makes you pull at your purple hair because he did it. For free to us.

I think Trump is doing it as an FU. The pics of the new ball room look terrible, but it is being privately funded so whatever. Other presidents have done remodeling or removed pictures, got new furniture, etc etc.

That part of the White House was built in 1942 so it's hardly historic. My house is older than that.

AND this ballroom will benefit every president hereafter. Does a basketball court? Joe couldn't have used it. Did a bowling alley? An indoor pool?

A ballroom will be used extensively by any new President.

It's a good investment.

This whole affair just reminds us - if Trump cured cancer, there would be protests demanding cancer be saved.
 
I'll play devil's advocate here. I agree that the house of the greatest country that the world has ever seen deserves an area to entertain dignitaries from around the world, but I can't wrap my head around the 90,000 square feet. Admittedly, I haven't seen the plans, but it seems massive for just a ballroom.

It probably includes a big kitchen, bathrooms, coat room and a big room with padded walls for the libtards.
