No mentions them because it’s obscured 24/7 by a litany of stupid ****. Like the limited skirmish with Iran. I’m still miffed by the stupidity of that whole thing that has no apparent end in sight. Can’t walk away. Apparently unwilling to do what needs to be done to end it for good.

The Democrat party was bad before, and now that they are made up of socialists and those that still believe the socialists are the useful idiots, so there’s no chance in voting for them.

That said, republicans are making it increasingly difficult to support much of their platform because while some it sounds good, they never really do much to move it into policy or law.

A viable, actually conservative third party would be amazing. Probably never happens as left and right move further apart and closer to the extremes, but a guy can hope.

I'll tell you what I think. (I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I didn't ask for yours either, right?) I think your worldview is largely shaped by the eternal struggle between liberal values and those of conservatives. I think you see one as the oppressor, and the other as the oppressed, and I think that perspective has made your world a very small place.

And yes, I do hope that for the survival of my country the majority of the country does vote for the GOP in November, while they certainly aren't perfect, the left offers 90% of the country nothing but despair, again, just my opinion.

I can agree with that, but republicans basically protect the republic by doing very little of what they pledge.

For sure. I hate the Republican Party. That said, I can’t find a word that describes how I feel about what passes for the Democratic Party.

The funniest part, is that DSA and the Democrats both think they are using each other as a means to an end. Truth is, traditional democrats are being made irrelevant on a national level by the DSA. The DSA movement is small but it’s growing and gaining momentum. Republicans and Democrats alike would be wise to guard the nation against them. Republicans are, but traditional democrats still think they control their own party so they’re rolling with the DSA takeover because they don’t believe it’s a takeover. I could write about this for an hour, but you guys can see what’s happening.

No, I do not see "one as the oppressor, and one as the oppressed." Far from it, I think nothing of the sort. I'm a centrist who thinks there are plenty of liberal and conservative values and ideas that are relevant, legitimate, and credible. I think there are extremists on the far left and the far right, who are hellbent on destroying this nation, and will do anything in their power to deepen the divide and tear Americans apart. I also think Trump is one of those people, and is the absolute worst thing to happen to this nation, as far as being elected to the highest office in the land. It has been nothing short of disastrous, primarily for conservatives, and traditional conservative values. Not to speak of true, foundational Christian values. Maybe you don't see it that way, and I have no issues with that. I get it. You're content to focus on the things you like, and ignore the rest. You have every right to do so.

It does seem strange to me how odd it is to you, that there are Americans out there like me, who simply reject this President on moral grounds, not to speak of his unhinged, unmoored, ad hoc policies. I also think you wildly miscalculate the actual, real-world support of this President, and the MAGA movement. I have no doubt, this is what you see in your immediate surroundings, where you live and work, the people you meet and interact with. Maybe you and those folks are resoundingly pro-MAGA and pro-Trump. Probably the same for the news you read and watch. So in your mind, this is a great President with resounding support around the country, everything is going swimmingly, and you simply can't wrap your head around why anyone would think differently.

Maybe, just maybe, I'm not alone in my absolute disdain, and disgust, for this President, and everything he has done to stain and degrade this nation, including the conservative movement in America, whatever is left of it. Sadly, the Democrats offer little to no serious alternative, thus we're stuck in the mud until Trump goes waddling off.

Trump isn’t and never has been a conservative. No sane, actual conservative believes that he is.

Do you know why so many republicans like the guy? Because he flat out rejects the nonsense from the left. For many, that’s enough. For others, they love that he’s a world class troll.

None of the recent Republican presidential nominees have stood up to democrats on anything. They talk in platitudes and say nothing. Sound bites. People are tired of that stuff. They want action, and Trump has provided that, good, bad or indifferent.

If any actual conservative stood up for their constituents, there never would have been a president Trump.
