Problem is all the R's want the cheap labor, and all the D's want the future voting block, and no one gives a damn about the rest of us.

Sad but very true.

The obnoxious tuitions universities charge coupled with the ridiculous research topics that are funded have me wondering about federal research funding generally. Isn't that what is keeping "climate scientists" in business?

Hillsdale College has been 15 years or more ahead of this curve. Thank you Mr. President for another correct constitutional move. And fed grants to study all of the leftist drivel need to dry up and soon. The climategate emails out of PSU back in 2008 should be case study for enough of this bullshit.

With Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing by his side, President Trump on Monday signed a proclamation officially recognizing the contested Golan Heights region as part of Israel – marking another unprecedented move by Trump in strengthening U.S.-Israeli relations.

“This was a long time in the making and it should have taken place many years ago,” Trump said before signing the proclamation.

Trump’s proclamation came just days after he tweeted his support for recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

Economics models predict Trump wins re-election in a landslide

President Trump is poised to win the 2020 election in a landslide, according to several economic models that have historically been successful in predicting presidential results.

In a new report from Politico Opens a New Window. , economic indicators suggest that the president is in a much stronger position than his Democratic counterparts to win re-election Opens a New Window. .

Fourteen Democrats have already announced their candidacy or exploratory committee for president against Trump, not including unannounced frontrunner former Vice President Joe Biden.

“The Five” cohost Juan Williams doesn’t believe that a solid economy will be enough for Trump to win support, telling FOX Business’ Kennedy on Wednesday that Americans still don’t approve of the president behavior- namely, his tweeting.

Yeah, 'his tweeting' will slow down the avalanche. That's a big piece of how he got there - going around the hostile media, tweeting over the top and Q-ing underneath.

Good luck with that Juan.

That guy is a piece of ****. He’s as low as Chuck Todd and Richard Madcow. If they all had sex they would spawn Gollum.

The more I watch Juan, the more I think he's just a plant. I think he was put on there to troll the audience and the conservative panelists and they on the show are all in on it. I'm not convinced he actually believes any of this ****. If you watch, you;ll notice that sometimes he will break character for a few seconds and giggle along with them over something ridiculous he said because he knows it's ridiculous. I think it's a troll job to get all the conservative viewers riled up.

So am I allowed to post that now I am thrilled that this thread will rock on for years, while the elftard shithole spawn dies a lonely death, where it belongs?

Asking for a friend, who replied to some asinine, lazy **** from lefties about two years ago about how the elftard thread had a lot more pages than this thread.

House fails to override Trump veto on southern border emergency

President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border survived a critical vote in the House on Tuesday, as Democrats failed to muster the necessary two-thirds majority to override his veto.

The vote was 248-181, well short of the 288 that would have been required. The vote effectively ends — for now — legislative attempts to strike down Trump’s national emergency declaration.

Trump: Mark My Words, The Republican Party Will Soon Be the Party of Healthcare

Speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill Tuesday, President Trump announced he is working on a new plan for healthcare and declared Republicans are going to fix the system.

"Mark my words, the Republican Party will soon be the Party of healthcare," Trump said, also tweeting the idea.

Trump's remarks came just ahead of a meeting Republican lawmakers for a policy lunch.

"President Trump and his administration are working to replace unconstitutional Obamacare with a more efficient and effective system while also fighting for Americans with pre-existing conditions," the White House released Tuesday in a statement. "President Trump’s actions to improve healthcare options stand in stark contrast to Democrats’ horrible ‘Medicare for All’ alternative, which would devastate our country."

"Democrats are rallying for proposals that would initiate a complete government takeover of the American healthcare system and completely eliminate options for consumers," the statement continues. "Versions of their expensive plan have been project to cost up to a mind-boggling $32 trillion dollars for taxpayers. According to analysis by the CEA, the high taxes needed to fund ‘Medicare for All’ would lead to a 19% decline in household incomes, annually."

Last night, the Department of Justice announced it will side with a District Court that ruled earlier this year Obamacare is unconstitutional. The ruling could lead to the law being completely struck down. From The Hill:
The DOJ previously argued in court that the law's pre-existing condition protections should be struck down. Now, the administration argues the entire law should be invalidated.

U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor ruled in December that the Affordable Care Act's individual mandate is unconstitutional and that the rest of law is therefore invalid.

The DOJ said Monday that it agrees the decision should stand as the case works its way through the appeals process in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

"The Department of Justice has determined that the district court’s judgment should be affirmed," the department said in a short letter to the appeals court.

Democrats on Capitol Hill and on the 2020 campaign trail are pushing for a government run, socialist system for all Americans.

Trump: Mark My Words, The Republican Party Will Soon Be the Party of Healthcare

Trump took the center from everybody. That pushed the dims further left. The Pubbies are just dazed and confused, meandering about forming meaningless coalitions.

It's inevitable that some form of 'healthcare' will become the law of the land. I would prefer that it happen under Trump than one of the eventual marxists that would reoccupy the White House if something workable doesn't get done. As distasteful as this is to the fiscally responsible, the political climate says it has to get done. Better under the supervision of a self made billionaire than a ne'er-do-well marxist poser. Its brilliant politics - take the center of the enemy's position and scatter them in all directions. That's what the dims try to do when they go all 'we like families' n'stuff.

If we had an honest media, this would blow Jussie's excellent adventure off the front page.

Actually, now that I think about, this is really brilliant. Take a dim issue from them. Make it YOUR own signature legislation while quietly arresting and prosecuting their bad people in the background. Excellent optics! I'd even go as far as to make it the centerpiece of the 2020 campaign. Our people could develop a workable plan. Their people have nothing but arrogance, lies, and hollow blather. Heck yeah, make that the centerpiece!

Proof that the Dems need an unaccountable bureaucracy to implement their agendas because they don't want to have to run for election on it.

Couldn't have put it better if I tried.

The republicans **** the bed on healthcare when they had both houses and they are certain of getting nothing done now. We still haven't built the wall. We have not yet seen these Republicans help him deliver on any of his big bold statements. At this point proclaiming that the Republican party will be the party of healthcare sounds fanciful.

Once they get to D.C. at least half the Republicans become as bad as the Democrats.

Politics are so convoluted that once in office they are afraid to commit to principles over party policy.
