In your words, I must be demented then because Trump's version of the GOP....or any other political party for that matter, is the only one I've ever given a **** about in my lifetime. All previous versions of the GOP and the Democrat party were one and the same. To me Trump's version is the first one that has put ALL American people first. The rest were in it to protect their own investment and everything else was secondary, including the people.

Yes he has done things to help to all genders and racial groups you mentioned. And about abortion rights, sorry Trump doesn't want women to kill babies as a method of birth control. I would be in favor of abortion in the extreme cases everyone always mentions but forgive me if I don't rejoice with the left every time a women gets to abort a baby because they decide they don't want it. Trump is extremely pro gay rights and has done helped minorities greatly by creating jobs.

The left's problem is with tax payer's money being spent on something that doesn't align with their views, being the totalitarians that they are.
In my view, the 4th extravaganza is a colossal waste of time and money. I agree with Sarge. Give the real people the day off. Even better, give the money to every uniformed soldier, or to vets in need. Much stronger message. I guess the only consolation we'll have is that the money was spent pissing off the left.

That's the one thing that drives me absolutely ape **** about this whole political war right now. Once you scrape away the most basic Antip-Trump talking points of the left, you find that there really isn't any substance to their outrage. I've been to the Mall several times on the 4th. The tradition has been for families to have picnics, listen to concerts during the day, listen to National Symphony play patriotic music
at the Capital and play in sync to fireworks in the evening as the fireworks shoot off over the Washington monument. Not sure what adding the war element does for a family day
