This came from the Shep thread, but belongs in this one.
I, on the other hand, think that what he has accomplished, during the harassment that he has had to endure, has been just short of miraculous.
I think it
IS miraculous. Consider that this man as everything that he is (no need to go through all his faults here), was entirely unelectable, outrageous, and yet he managed to be elected President on the first try, with NO political experience, largely of his own doing and with his own money – a fraction of what the enemy spent. Then consider had he not.
He took down the 15 Republican pretenders in his own outrageous manner, and in the process began his brutal assault on the ‘media’, making them look like monkeys they are at every opportunity. He took on the entire Washington ‘establishment’ (read: both parties, the ‘media’ and the organs of state) in his own outrageous manner. Then he destroyed the highest hopes of the
☭linton machine. If one moment in that campaign captures this man it is this – the lightning, surgical spear he buried in Madam Rottweiler’s neck in that debate…
THAT is who The Donald is. When you consider what might have happened to any one of those 15 Republican pretenders had they gotten the nod, and where the Republic would be as the result, it is nothing short of miraculous that The Donald stepped up. Ax yerself this ‘is there any human that we’re aware of that would have and could have done all that?’.
Losing the House definitely had an impact as well. He hasn't gotten much help from his fellow Reps in Congress.
Aside from the tax bill, what help has he gotten from either the 115th or the 116th congresses. The only real difference between the two is that the former stabbed him in the back at every opportunity and the latter overtly works toward his destruction in lieu of their responsibility as a congress. But note that The Donald fights on with pitbull determination whether it be the 115th or the 116th, whether it be ‘russiagate’ or ‘ukrainegate’, surrounded on every side by pigeons from hell that rabidly seek his and his family’s destruction, all the while managing Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, and everything else that threatens this Republic. Nothing short of miraculous.
In my mind, his greatest accomplishment so far is his appointment of judges....both SC and federal judges. This will have more impact on our lives in decades to come more than anything else he can do.
Indeed. And the systematic destruction of the regulations left by the previous ‘administrations’. Miraculous. The ‘media’ run and hide from that reality.
So there is dwindling support based on unkept promises. They planning to vote Democrat?
Problem with a person making promises when running for President is that the voters need to be aware of what the President can and can’t do by himself/herself.
And yet, any analysis of what he has accomplished in less than 3 years reveals that it is nothing short of miraculous.
In my mind, Trump’s biggest problem is his ego. He wants to be loved and adored and held on high like Christ Almighty. IMHO, he isn’t working for the American people as much as he is adulation.
The Donald is The Donald. Ego and all. IMHO, his life has been sufficient to adulé his ego. Consider this. He stepped away from that life because he recognized the Republic wouldn’t survive another ‘administration’, any ‘administration’. He put the proposition of the sacrifice and its risks before his wife and family and asked their permission. They all knew what they were signing up for – the utter hatred of the entire Washington ‘establishment’ (read: both parties, the ‘media’ and the organs of state), and their possessed clingers and hangers on in academia, leftist groups, and NGOs. No adulation of ego is worth that price.
I can appreciate that he hits back, but I have to wonder how much he is doing when he has time to tweet about every time he is slighted on TV or Twitter, and it happens a lot.
How else does he communicate his message to his base, the entire Washington ‘establishment’, the Republic, the world but through his tweets? Are his enemies (read: the entire Washington ‘establishment’ ) going to carry his message or any truthful representation thereof? He has harnessed one of the main weapons of his enemies and used it against them. Look what he has done to the ‘Washington media corps’ – he’s decimated them. There are no press briefings. He engages them on his terms when HE wants to even speak to them. They look like little children – well, they don’t look like anything because they’re kept off camera where they squawk like raped eagles. The man is brilliant.
One last thing as far a promises..... where the hell are the classified documents that are going to expose all this corruption? They were supposed to be released months ago. That is the one that chaps my ***, because he can actually do it. Just do it already.
Consider where we are in all this and what the release might have meant had it already taken place… prior to Mueller’s ‘testimony’, prior to Ukraine, or at any time to this point. Wasted bullets.
The appointment of Barr was staggering. That he and Durham are doing their world tour has rendered the collective Washington sphincter dystrophic.
Timing is everything. Recall the ‘
Hold’ scene from Braveheart
We are nearing that point in this saga – not quite there, but close. As that scene illustrates, a second one way or the other is disastrous. The perfect split second means the utter destruction of the enemy. The battle of Sterling didn’t go down exactly as the movie depicts, but the outcome was the same. Interestingly, it occurred on September 11th. Infer what you will.
The Donald is the man for a time such as this. He and his family have given all they are and have to this Republic. They knew that had they not, we would be in the last ‘administration’ of this Republic. IMHO anybody that has any Oxygen above their neck should recognize this and express their gratitude with their vote and influence on those around them. A vote for anyone else would be disastrous.
