The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

I'm glad things are going well for you and others. Unfortunately, the fact the economy is strong does not allow the President to commit crimes.

That's just it, we're all still waiting, 3 years later, for that first crime. Like everyone else, you are entitled to your opinion, and thus far, that's all this is.

People vote with their wallet first, even though I'm retired and living off my investments, they continue to grow. I'm pretty happy with that!

My kids are all fully employed, and all of them have received multiple job offers for more money and better benefits in the past year.

When votes are cast next November, I honestly believe this will be the primary consideration of most.

Lastly, and I've asked before, which candidate, other than Trump, will do better with working American's wallet?

I've had a single issue with Trump from the very beginning. Nothing has changed one iota since then. It is the fact I am convinced he's beholden to Putin and the Russian mafia, and that is an incredibly precarious and unprecedented position for the country to be in.

I didn't even make it past your first thought. If you believe Trump is beholden to Russia then you must believe Obama was secretly a Russian government official out to destroy America. One thing that cannot be disputed is that Trump has been much much tougher on Russia than Obama ever was. How do you square that in your mental gymnastics to believe Trump is worse in regards to Russia? I'm genuinely curious how one could come to these conclusions despite ALL evidence showing the exact opposite. It all goes back to the feelings over facts thing again.

Oh, oh, oh, I know this. It's when Trump said on an open mic, that he could be more flexible after the election.

Bullshit. Jesus Christ, don't be lazy.

******* Obama's policy - you know, the ************ who was once President and was President when Russia ACTUALLY ******* ATTACKED CRIMEA AND THREATENED UKRAINE - refused to arm Ukraine. Trump gave them arms.

So I guess if Trump followed Obama's policies, he would definitely be a Russian agent and a traitor?

Further, on at least three occasions in this ******* thread I have linked to independent sources, showing that Trump has been demonstrably harder on Russia than Bammy.

The ******* 2016 "interference" occurred under ******* BAMMY'S WATCH.

Steeltime, it seems you don't realize Ukraine can't use those Javelins on the front lines in Donbass and Crimea. They are sitting in a warehouse, but do provide an extra layer of security if Russia ever tried to completely overtake the country.

Far From the Front Lines, Javelin Missiles Go Unused in Ukraine
https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/10/03/far-from-the-front-lines-javelin-missiles-go-unused-in-ukraine/

But while there is evidence that the Javelin sale has been a powerful gesture of support for Kyiv, the missiles’ military application has been far more limited. Under the conditions of the foreign military sale, the Trump administration stipulates that the Javelins must be stored in western Ukraine—hundreds of miles from the battlefield.

“I see these more as symbolic weapons than anything else,” said Samuel Charap, a senior political scientist at Rand Corp. Experts say the conditions of the sale render them useless in the event of a sustained low-level assault—the kind of attack Ukraine is most likely to face from Russia.

Trump’s claim about supplying far more critical military aid to Ukraine than Obama is hyperbolic at best in other ways. The Obama administration did draw criticism for its refusal to approve lethal assistance to Ukraine, including the Javelin missile sale Trump cited. But it did commit to Kyiv more than $600 million in security assistance and equipment, including armored Humvee vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, countermortar radars, night vision equipment, and medical supplies.

While the Obama administration slapped sanctions on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine and had provided Kyiv with substantial financial aid, the administration stopped short of providing lethal weapons to Ukraine—including the Javelins—due to fears that they could fall into Russia’s hands or prompt Moscow to escalate. Officials also worried that the untrained Ukrainian military would not be able to use sophisticated equipment such as the Javelins, said Jim Townsend, a former Defense Department official.

As the Ukrainian military gains experience, that is less of a concern, Wolters said.

Needless to say, I'm glad the US - and the EU - continue to support Ukraine both militarily, financially and politically. This fledgling democracy must be strengthened faced with ongoing Russian aggression and political meddling.

It's sad so many of you put your blind love of this President ahead of the country and the Constitution. I'm sure you have your reasons for doing so.

Yeah, Sarge has a blind love for President Trump, that's why he sees this soft coup for what it really is. Hell, AOC has already admitted it out in the open.

Same with many here. There's no blind love for Trump for many of us (it isn't always about Trump to the non-mentally deranged). There is, however, a love for this country's Constitution, laws and traditional values that are getting trampled on by the Progressive Socialists and their militia in the MSM and out on the streets creating chaos & physically assaulting those that don't fall lock step in line.

And that's the last of the energy I'm wasting on this **** on this fine Sunday (it's like beating your head on a wall and expecting a different result eventually). Enjoy the games.

The hearing being held is completely open, fair and unbiased. Why you'd have to be a blind Trump follower to think otherwise.

As soon as Democrats decide to get serious about the southern border and stop with sanctuary cities, and stop trying to subvert 2A (among others), I'll believe they are beholden to the constitution and the "rule of law."

By the way, this is the winning thread, I can't find anything on the Louisiana governor's race. Anyone know what happened? Trump was down there what, three times, as recently as a few days ago, has been tweeting out non-stop about the election, how this was a referendum on his presidency. Surely the Trump-backed candidate walked away with a formidable win in a deep-red state. I'll look around the board, perhaps it was posted elsewhere. Just wanted to pass on my congratulations.

Again a race was close only because of Trump being involved. All the names in LA decided not to run. It was pretty much purely decided by NOLA in the end. Had it been a National election day with Trump on the ticket it isn't even close.

Beholden to Russia?!?!?!?

Trump has frequently described himself as heavy-handed on Russia, saying in April, “probably nobody’s been tougher on Russia than Donald Trump,” and often arguing that the Russians didn’t want him to win the presidency for that reason.

Indeed, some of the toughest sanctions in years have fallen on Russia’s elite under the Trump administration. Sanctions imposed over Russia’s invasion of Crimea in 2014 have not been lifted, Trump approved the sale of lethal weapons to Ukraine — something Barack Obama did not do — and he has ordered missiles fired at Syrian military sites, openly targeting strategic operations and allies of Russia.

A "fluff piece" from that highly pro-Trump site, NBC.

You apparently don't see that YOU are the exact equivalent of those who said in 2010 that Obama was a Kenyan communist plant, designed to bring down the United States. You used to mock people with these imbecilic, outlandish opinions unsupported by a single piece of real evidence. Conspiracy theorists, whack jobs, nutcases, somebody who needs to get a ******* life.

Now, you're that guy, Tibs.
Tibs is a Kenyan interloper?

Edwards (winner) is a moderate. Trump was an idiot to back Rispone the way he did. Especially after Kentucky. No one liked Rispone. Hell, even his allies in congress think so.

That said, let's not get it twisted. It's not like AOC went and won the governorship in LA. The **** the far left is selling will never reverberate in Louisiana. That election does not affect Trump in any way, shape or form. Trump won Louisiana by 20-some points. And Edwards spent plenty of time at the White House and with Trump. It's not like Trump was going after somebody he had an axe to grind with.

Trump backed an incredibly unpopular candidate. It was stupid. But it isn't like LA embraced socialism. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Good to know everything’s going great Sarge, I was worried there for a sec. Surely it means nothing that overall, since Trump took office, Democrats have flipped nine governorships from New Jersey to Kansas, taken control of the House of Representatives and won more than 400 state legislative seats. Trump will win a landslide a year from now, clearly he has the country eating out of the palm of his hand.

Hey Tibs, isn't this what Schiff is claiming that Trump did? If not, what is the distinction?
This is going to be good.

Yes because as I said it takes a Presidential election to turn out his vote. The impeachment process will also turn off a lot of the Dem support from the middle they enjoyed for a brief moment.

You heathen ******* got more to worry about than an election

You got plastic straws in your house?

Pope Francis considers introducing new 'ecological sin' in bid to battle climate change

Speaking to a group of lawyers, Pope Francis said that the Catholic Church is contemplating the introduction of “ecological sin” to the compendium of Church teaching.

“We have to introduce, we are thinking about it, in the catechism of the Catholic Church, the sin against ecology, he said.

Time to peel away the layers from Trump's unhinged conspiracy theories. It sickens me our President - and his base - is this disconnected from reality.

I mean this sincerely, I hope Trump is feeling better after his impromptu doctor's visit on Sat. He's been out of sight ever since. Hope everything's ok w his health.

This week should provide ample tv time, as the next round of testimony continues.

In the scheme of the national presidential election it means squat. Even the NY Times doesn't think it matters.

Yes because as I said it takes a Presidential election to turn out his vote.

I'm not so sure about that. For about a year, everyone Trump backed was getting elected. Now his support isn't helping the candidates he backs. At least not as much.

The bigger problem I see is this. If it takes a national election to turn out Trump's base, then shame on them. Trump can't really do anything for you at the local and state level, so it would seem to me it would be just as important to vote for "Trump Guys" locally, maybe more important. State and local elections have a greater impact on individuals than a national election. I don't know what the turn out was like, but if they aren't turning out for state and local elections, I hope it doesn't indicate a larger complacency thinking that Trump has it in the bag.
