The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

I'm not so sure about that. For about a year, everyone Trump backed was getting elected. Now his support isn't helping the candidates he backs. At least not as much.

The bigger problem I see is this. If it takes a national election to turn out Trump's base, then shame on them. Trump can't really do anything for you at the local and state level, so it would seem to me it would be just as important to vote for "Trump Guys" locally, maybe more important. State and local elections have a greater impact on individuals than a national election. I don't know what the turn out was like, but if they aren't turning out for state and local elections, I hope it doesn't indicate a larger complacency thinking that Trump has it in the bag.

I think it has as much to do with the quality of the candidates being put up as anything. None of these Republican candidates who have lost were anything special or worth while. I am pretty confident that without Trumps support they would have lost "Bigly". Both sides are really straining to come up with decent people to run and that holds down voter participation. People want to vote FOR someone not just an R or D beside a name. Politics has become so vile and nasty that who the hell wants to run.

Good to know everything’s going great Sarge, I was worried there for a sec. Surely it means nothing that overall, since Trump took office, Democrats have flipped nine governorships from New Jersey to Kansas, taken control of the House of Representatives and won more than 400 state legislative seats. Trump will win a landslide a year from now, clearly he has the country eating out of the palm of his hand.

Well... I can speak for New Jersey -- a state that overwhelmingly voted for Hillary in 2016. Chris Christie F'd with people's pensions, among other things, then abandoned his post as Governor to run for the Presidency. His successor didn't stand a chance, unfortunately.

Gov. Murphy is a horrible Governor. He's in favor of sanctuary cities, and free education and health care for illegals over the rights of American citizens.

So to say that Trump had a hand in losing the Governorship in NJ is disingenuous.

Don't look now - Trump and McConnell are about to 'flip' another Circuit Court of Appeals.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals (Alabama, Florida and Georgia) currently has 12 active judges after the appointment of 3 already this term by President Trump; the Circuit is now tied 6 - 6 with R and D appointees; with 3 more vacancies to fill; each of which has a current nominee awaiting vetting and a vote.

The tie-breaking 13th judge will be under active consideration for a cloture vote this afternoon on the Senate floor with likely confirmation tomorrow; making in 7R to 6D.

Once the additional two vacancies are filled; an enduring 9R to 6D majority will be in place.

The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals was just flipped to a majority R in the most recent Senate vote taken, on November 13th.

The onslaught is turning into a rout.

Schiff steers Trump impeachment drive straight toward a ditch

The decision by the California Democrat and House Intelligence Committee chairman to conduct the first series of interviews behind closed doors allowed Republicans to appropriately brand the enterprise as unfair and clandestine.

His next step, orchestrating a steady stream of leaks and disclosures timed and edited for maximum impact, all but guaranteed that last week’s subsequent live hearings would be anti-climactic.

Schiff stole his own thunder.

I mean this sincerely, I hope Trump is feeling better after his impromptu doctor's visit on Sat. He's been out of sight ever since. Hope everything's ok w his health.

This week should provide ample tv time, as the next round of testimony continues.

It's fun watching the swamp vermin scurry around with fake impeachment, while panicking about the pending criminal probe and report on the investigation of the REAL crimes.

Ratcliffe: Democrats 'racing' to beat disclosure that 'damages the Obama-Biden administration'
by Daniel Chaitin

| Updated Nov 17, 2019, 09:28 PM

Democratic leaders are rushing through impeachment proceedings to beat out a potentially scathing revelation about the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation, according to a House Intelligence Committee Republican.

Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe said Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz's forthcoming report on FBI intelligence-gathering activities is "likely to be damning" in how it reflects upon the Obama administration, and by extension former Vice President Joe Biden, who is a leading candidate for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

"Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are racing to get this done," the Texas congressman said on Fox News's Sunday Morning Futures, referring to the House speaker and House Intelligence Committee chairman, respectively. "That’s why we have five impeachment hearings this week with eight different witnesses. They’re racing the clock. They want to get this done before information that comes out that damages the Obama-Biden administration and their efforts to frame Donald Trump come out in the IG report or from John Durham’s criminal investigation into those very same issues."

The long-awaited report is eagerly anticipated by President Trump's GOP allies, who claim Horowitz's findings will show top Justice Department and FBI officials misled the FISA Court by using an unverified dossier compiled by British ex-spy Christopher Steele to obtain warrants to electronically monitor onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Horowitz's findings could be useful for U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is conducting a criminal inquiry into the origins of the Russia investigation.

Attorney General William Barr told reporters on Wednesday that it was his understanding the release of the report was "imminent," following a classification review by the Justice Department and FBI, as well as a final session for witnesses to provide feedback.

Democrats, as well as current and former FBI officials, have dismissed allegations of wrongdoing and have raised concerns that information about U.S. intelligence gathering could be weaponized to discredit special counsel Robert Mueller.

In the House, Democrats are spearheading impeachment proceedings that are examining the possibility that Trump abused his office to improperly pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rivals, including Biden. Early predictions put a vote on articles of impeachment around Thanksgiving, but now it appears Democrats may finish their work sometime around the Christmas season or later. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a CBS News interview airing Sunday that she has "no idea" if impeachment proceedings will wrap up by the end of the year.

Ratcliffe said he anticipates the FISA report will be made public during the first week of December, but he and other Republicans have previously made predictions for earlier release dates that did not pan out. Ratcliffe also said the report is "supposedly 500 pages."

I've had a single issue with Trump from the very beginning. Nothing has changed one iota since then. It is the fact I am convinced he's beholden to Putin and the Russian mafia
Tibs, based on this, I can only assume that you actually don't care one bit about Ukraine. You're simply all about Russia...

And I can't help but notice you haven't responded at all about the Biden video? I mean truthfully, how can that NOT be the thing the democrats are investigating and chasing down? How can they look one another in the face after THAT video has been circulated to the American public and NOT have the integrity to say, well - we need to deal with this in a moral manner." Truthfully, there cannot BE better evidence of actual quid-pro-quo. And Biden even damningly implicated Obama when he said the Ukrainians said "you don't have the authority to do that, you aren't the president." and Biden replied, "Call him!"

If I were the democrats and I wanted to demonstrate any shred of integrity, I'd go after Joe immediately and distance myself from that kind of corruption. But they can't. The democrats are so tunnel-visioned on fighting the current administration that they will excuse any level of corruption in their government as a justified means. How that doesn't concern you freaks me out.

I don't defend Trump's obnoxious tweets or his boorish manner. But I truthfully haven't seen ONE ILLEGAL act out of him. Earlier you asked why he would spend months smearing an ambassador only to fire her. That's a GREAT question. He didn't have to smear her at all. He could have fired her at any time with no reason whatsoever. There was no need whatsoever for Trump to smear her. Yet she claims he did. I know of no evidence for this, but that's what she claims. WHY would he do that? There's no need. No reason.

As for her not being involved in the Biden/Ukraine quid-pro-quo, are we to believe that as the ambassador SHE wasn't the one that communicated initially to Ukrainian officials that if they didn't get rid of the prosecutor the U.S. wouldn't be giving them a billion dollars?

Biden himself said they'd been working on this for over 2 months and finally he came out and said if you don't do it in 6 hours, I aint givin' you the money. I would bet that if forced to testify under oath, she would have to admit that SHE initially passed that information on to Ukraine and that they ultimately didn't take her very seriously. Because tying that to 1 billion in financial aid is so CLEARLY corruption they likely couldn't believe the U.S. would be so brazen. In truth, however, Obama got used to getting whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it.

All fair points that any fair-minded person would have to agree with, wig. Thing is, Tibs is not that when it comes to truth and "upholding the tenants of our democracy" and anything regarding this current President. He cherry picks the left-wing MSM talking points and regurgitates them and acts like he cares about the Constitution and the future of this country.

I wouldn't waste the energy at this point. And he'll attack me for questioning his Patriotism and how dare I (!), but he won't touch the Biden video. And we all know why. It's devastating to their entire case.

Bring Biden, and his son, in front of the Congressional committee and hear their testimony under oath. That would be my response to the Biden video. I don't kneel in front of any sacred cows, Republican or Democrat.

A mob-like shakedown? This clown is still heading the investigation, even after tens of millions of people heard that shameful, lying nonsense. Sounded more like the Biden shakedown than anything.

Only proves this entire thing is a circus, and Schiff is the head clown.

They have asked Schiff to do just that and we aren't going to see him allow it.Hmmm I wonder why?

If this impeachment thing gets voted(and I doubt it will), Biden, his son, the whistleblower will all be called in the Senate trial.

Speaking of Senate hearings, guess who is coming to testify on Dec 11?

Ha! The moron (Biden) was already caught on video for the world to see, actually bragging about it. Can you imagine if Trump had Don Jr. sitting on the board of a corrupt foreign energy company (collecting loads of cash) and then coercing them that his administration will withhold a billion dollars if they don't fire the prosecutor investigating his son, they'd already have the cross and nails ready (along with a crown of thorns for good measure) for them.

I can't believe I just typed that out. That it actually happened, and we're going through this circus.

Seven Days in May. But it real life the bad guys plotting the coup are the dems.

All hogwash. "My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard it from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard it from Trump"
Let's recap - Zero first hand knowledge, everything is heresay, "assumed, inferred, presumed"
Like I said before, all the testimony was about 2nd, 3rd, 4th hand accounts of heresay
Today, at these hearings, I heard nothing more than hearsay. The “star witness” said one of his staffers heard Trump through the phone on the call with the President if Ukraine because Trump was talking loud. It wasn’t on speaker. That is hearsay.
No evidence, just heresay, but he must be guilty, we’ll get to the trial later...
...those giving hearsay testimony should be ignored.
I hope by witness you mean someone who has no direct knowledge of anything? By witness you mean someone who is not in court or a trial and is giving pure opinion and conjecture? These so called witnesses have nothing that amounts to evidence of anything let alone evidence that would rise to the level of an impeachable offense.
Their witnesses aren't witnesses at all. They are saying that they heard from a guy who heard something about a call that someone else made. It's ridiculous. No one they have questioned has any first hand knowledge of anything.
This is a fishing expedition. I heard from a staffer, I think, I feel, I believe.
Here you don't have even that. You have 4th hand hearsay. There isn't one witness who has any knowledge. It's all "I heard from this guy who called this guy and he has a friend who talked to this guy".
This weeks testimony will include: where is the beef?

I'm sure you'll be delighted this week's witnesses include numerous Trump government officials with first-hand testimony.

Does this sound like a man that's going to look the other way?

https://twitter.com/thehill/status/...witter.com/thehill/status/1195573352771006464

AG Bill Barr: "Immediately after President Trump won election, opponents inaugurated what they call 'The Resistance' and they rallied around an explicit strategy of using every tool and maneuver to sabotage the functioning of the executive branch."

Alan Dershowitz explained there's no such law as whistleblower anonymity or obstruction of Congress. He added there's no law against firing an ambassador, or investigating foreign corruption. If they want to impeach Trump, it'll have to be for interfering with a vice president's love for his son.

Based on the reaction of the American public to impeachment, the facts presented to date and nothing but hearsay witnesses combined with the star chamber process, that attempt will not be successful either, particularly when evidence emerges that the President’s opponents have abused their power in pursuit of impeachment.

However, there is another show about to debut on stage. The Barr, Horowitz and Durham probes of the machinations that led to the two-year Russia collusion hoax. This production will play in Peoria as it will not be based on gossip, innuendo, fabrications and crude propagandizing by the Democrats and the mainstream media.

In the days of vaudeville when a show was destined to not play well in Peoria the producers would cut their losses and shelve the production. So, Nancy Pelosi what are you going to do? Stick with The Ukraine debacle to the bitter end rather than admit a mistake? Try and create out of whole cloth yet another impeachment theory? Slink off into the shadows and not have an impeachment vote? You have spent three years building the gallows for Donald Trump but you and your compatriots in the House of Representatives may well be the only ones hanging from it on November 3, 2020.

#FartGate!

Democrats’ efforts to impeach President Donald Trump are going over with the public like a juicy, wet fart.
Seriously. Such wind was broken live on MSNBC on Monday night on the eve of the Democrats’ next round of impeachment hearings on Tuesday, where a Democrat Congressman helping lead the charge for impeachment was being interviewed by a network host. Then, mid-interview, a loud fart broke out on air.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) denied Monday evening that it was he who ripped the massive fart live on MSNBC during an interview with Chris Matthews on Hardball.

Eric Swalwell Arrives at Democrat Debate, Greeted by Junkanoo Band

Meanwhile, Matthews and MSNBC remain silent on whether they are owning up to the blast of flatulence that interrupted the top Democrat’s argument backing House Democrats’ push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

During the video, as the fart was being ripped, Swalwell pauses and appears to smirk as he says, “The evidence is un-contradicted that the president used taxpayer dollars…”:

BuzzFeed, the leftist website, conducted an immediate investigation into who passed gas on MSNBC. The outlet’s Addy Baird noticed Swalwell’s pause and smirk, too, writing: “The Democrat, who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, appeared to react to the fart with a brief pause, while attempting not to smile.”

Baird then writes that the clip went viral online, causing Swalwell to deny it on the record to BuzzFeed:

As the clip of Swalwell quickly circulated on the internet, some began to speculate that the California representative was the one behind the loud flatulence.

But in a text to BuzzFeed News on Monday night, Swalwell denied having anything to do with it.

“It was not me!!!!!” he wrote. “Ha. And I didn’t hear it when I was speaking.”

Pressed by this reporter, Swalwell denied again having heard the fart, before adding, “It’s funny tho.”

Many on Twitter mocked Swalwell’s denial, because, as everyone knows when it comes to the old rules of flatulence, he who denied it supplied it:

Eric Swalwell has denied that he farted

But as we know, he who denied it supplied it https://t.co/8jkXi2prFm

— Madison Underwood (@MadisonU) November 19, 2019

I know few things in this world. I make no claims to wisdom or insight. But if I know anything, it is this, and this alone. He who denied it supplied it. https://t.co/T78BNFyxd4

— Luke Thompson (@ltthompso) November 19, 2019

House rules state that he who hath denied it, and so forth. https://t.co/bFmQODpCAT

— Matt Whitlock (@mattdizwhitlock) November 19, 2019

This old tweet of Swalwell talking about wind behind him resurfaced Monday evening amid the controversy:

"May the wind always be at your back, but let your ideas move you forward" — to the Ala. Co. @CA_Dem St. Paddy's Day pic.twitter.com/qmqyrU19np

— Eric Swalwell (@ericswalwell) March 22, 2013

BuzzFeed’s Baird notes in her investigation that MSNBC did not respond to BuzzFeed’s comment request. “MSNBC did not immediately respond to a request for comment,” Baird wrote.

But the show’s official Twitter feed later tweeted this out, after removing a now-deleted Spiderman v. Spiderman meme:

Sorry to disappoint the conspiracy theorists – it was the #hardball mug scraping across the desk. Get yours today and let’s get back to the news! https://t.co/SG8Owm2IBw

— Hardball (@hardball) November 19, 2019

But as others have pointed out, right before the fart, the camera cut to a one-shot with just Swalwell on screen, hiding for a moment Matthews from his program’s viewers:

THREAD: I hate to let the air out of these #fartgate theories, but the inimitable laws of physics clearly point to Chris as the culprit. For one, Swalwell’s mic wouldn’t likely have picked it up in the noisy liveshot location…

— S.E. Cupp (@secupp) November 19, 2019

S.E. Cupp also argued in the thread that the acoustics of the two different potential culprits’ locations lean more towards Matthews letting one rip:

Second, the fart conveniently manifests when it goes to a one-shot, where Chris is off camera to let it rip without anyone seeing…

— S.E. Cupp (@secupp) November 19, 2019

Unless you’re telling me that thing bounced through the echoey Capitol building, into Swalwell’s lav mic, through control to the main audio, then that is one magic fart. There is also, of course, the possibility that there was a second farter. #fartgate #fin

— S.E. Cupp (@secupp) November 19, 2019

Swalwell later took the Hardball tweet and turned the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into a giant fart joke by claiming it was “TOTAL EXONERATION,” like how Trump claimed the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller was “total exoneration” of him when it came to now-proven-false allegations he or his 2016 campaign colluded with Russians to interfere in the 2016 election and the false claims that he obstructed Mueller’s investigation:

TOTAL EXONERATION! https://t.co/JAuTsnCjAC

— Rep. Eric Swalwell (@RepSwalwell) November 19, 2019

The controversy sent the hashtag #FartGate trending on Twitter–uniting people from all political perspectives ranging from Donald Trump, Jr., and other right-wingers to people throughout the establishment media and even leftist actress Alyssa Milano:

Most intelligible thing to come out of Swalwell in years. #fartgate https://t.co/LT7MXAkIRB

— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) November 19, 2019

I'm dying. Absolutely dying. #fartgate

No matter how famous you are, you will never compete with cheeky Eric Swalwell's MSNBC flatulence, which is now trending on Twitter.

A fart is trending.

A fart.

Trending.

We must get to the bottom of this scandal.

— David Martosko (@dmartosko) November 19, 2019

I guess #fartgate will distract us all from the many times Joe Biden has literally full-blown **** himself onstage

— Michael Malice (@michaelmalice) November 19, 2019

Swalwell sounds like he just **** his pants on television. #fartgate https://t.co/yz78fhx6BZ

— Tim Young (@TimRunsHisMouth) November 19, 2019

I get that some of you think Chris Matthews was the farter, but do you really think he has the skill and control to not only drop it perfectly between Swalwell's words, but also choreograph it seamlessly with Swalwell's body movement? #fartgate pic.twitter.com/6qYw8r0fTf

— Josh Jordan (@NumbersMuncher) November 19, 2019

There are two types of people in the world—

1. People who think farts are funny.

2. People who don’t think farts are funny.

It is pretty much all you need to know about a person. Which are you?

(I think they’re hilarious.)#fartgate

— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) November 19, 2019

What’s more, sources on Capitol Hill tell Breitbart News that Republicans are currently formulating the best possible ways to bring #FartGate into this week’s hearings. It remains to be seen if they will actually do it or not, but #FartGate is just the latest air to come out of the Democrats’ case for impeachment.

#fartgate is hilarious. That was one thundering, juicy fart, lol.

What’s more, sources on Capitol Hill tell Breitbart News that Republicans are currently formulating the best possible ways to bring #FartGate into this week’s hearings.

I realize Trump/GOP is desperate, but are they that desperate? Based on their bizarre, unhinged antics thus far, it would make perfect sense.
