The Official Thread Dedicated to "Trump Winning"

The Boston Tea Party was in protest to the Tea Act of 1773 which allowed the British East India Trading Company to sell ****** Chinese tea without paying taxes aside from those imposed by the Townsend acts but also allowed the Brits to tax the tea they sold in the colonies, even though the colonies had no say in the matter.. They were protesting taxation without representation. Sure, it eventually escalated into the American Revolution, but ultimately they were protesting taxation without representation rather than British rule.
Thanks for the clarification Sarge, you're correct. The key word in all of this is they 'protested,' which was the point I was attempting to make.

For Thanksgiving, we'll be gathering with a group of 20-25 Americans and our families for a traditional turkey meal, as we do every year. There will be Steelers fans, Raiders fans, Bills fans, even a Philly fan. There will be liberals, conservatives, even a Trump supporter or two. And of course those, who are apolitical and don't follow politics much at all. There will be Christians, Jews and agnostics. There will be young and old, with the common bond that we share a love of this great country, even far away from home. We will pass onto our children the meaning of Thanksgiving and the promise of America that we all cherish.

I know some of you (a lot of you) deride and loathe me for my political views. Afterall, that's what this board is for, to hash out those differences. Regardless, I hold no ill will towards any of you, and at least we do have the bond of the Pittsburgh Steelers as common ground.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your friends and families stateside.

I truly hope no one actually loathes you for views. If they do they are no better than those they disagree with. It is possible to disagree with your views most of the time and not let that reflect on you as a person. You at least have good taste in your football team.

I thought you'd be above a comment like that. I thought wrong.

Wasn't meant to offend, an attempt at humor, if you will.

I see a lot posted here that seems irrational to me, aimed at those you disagree with.

It would be nice to have discourse, without resorting to insulting one another. I'll try and do better.

Me too..NOT!
Stay classy, Indy. If there was a world championship for pettiness, you’d have a guaranteed spot on the winners’ podium. Top three finish, for sure. Enjoy your turkey, big guy.

Uhhh....and the teeny, tiny detail that the Proud Boys are a neo-fascist group that promotes political violence and are on the FBI extremist group list.

FBI now classifies far-right Proud Boys as 'extremist group', documents say

The Poisonous Allure of Right-Wing Violence

FBI considers Proud Boys extremists with white-nationalist ties, law enforcement officials say
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...tionalist-ties-law-enforcement-officials-say/

If you have a problem with left-wing thugs making a ruckus and breaking the law, you let the police deal with them, correct? That's what they're there for. Or, you're more comfortable having armed, far-right fascist thugs running around in full body gear?

They also classified the Juggalos, a group that follows the rap group Insane Clown Posse as an organized crime group.

Yeah, right, believe that if you will. The signs are all around you, perhaps you're too blinded by Trump's halo to see it.

You do understand the difference between a threat and saying you are prepared to defend yourself right?

Never mind I know you don't.

I love history, so I am full of things that aren’t especially useful, but make for fun conversation. Have a great Thanksgiving.

I shoot quite a bit, never know when you’ll need it. Taught my kids to operate my AR15, pistols, shotguns and rifles, so hopefully they won’t be victims. And if it comes down to it, defend the nation from the evils within. I guess we’re all threats too.

To the leftists absolutely you are. You won’t willingly get on the train to the “re-education camps”.

Yes, that's a real thing. That's something we should all be concerned about.

Ah, come on Tibs. Are we really that far from something like that? While I might agree that’s some tin foil hat kinda stuff, it cannot be completely discounted. Look around. Cancel culture. People having their entire livelihoods and reputations completely destroyed over accusations with no due process. Comply to a certain line of thinking or be crushed. It is happening in American society right now. Being herded up to be “educated” isn’t so much of a stretch.

On election day in Pennsylvania there was a ballot referendum to amend the state constitution called "Marsy's Law", ostensibly to protect crime victims if you believed all the TV commercials. Problem was it violated defendants' constitutional rights and you didn't have to be convicted to fall under it, only accused. Also most of what was in it was covered in a law passed in 2007. If law enforcement is failing to notify crime victims when their attackers are released from jail when the law already requires it, will making an amendment covering the same thing make it any better? Except of course that you lose more rights. Even the Libertarian Party, ACLU, and half the Democrats were against it. It passed anyway but the state supreme court put a stay on counting the votes while they determine if it is constitutional (it likely is not). But that's how it goes when an advertising campaign that tugs at your heartstrings is funded by someone with deep pockets.

President Trump surprised American troops in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving.

He visited Bagram air base on Thursday, delivering Thanksgiving greetings to U.S. troops deployed there.

Trump did the right thing. Look at those soldiers' reactions. Yet, while he was making his way halfway across the world, the Fake News propaganda industry was once again in full swing. Take Jessica Kwong of Newsweek, who published:

78603347_10218547199363732_4787361532432351232_n.jpg

Then retracted her ignorant, ill-informed hit piece:

77361200_10218547199643739_2957132262295994368_o.jpg

She was butchered, rightfully, on Twitter:

Mark Dice: "You fake news sewer pipe." TRUTH.

From her Twitter account, her bio reads: :Political reporter @Newsweek covering Trump administration and family, 2020 race. Trilingual (English, Spanish, Cantonese) and loving it. j.kwong@newsweek.com

@PirateMazz with the bomb: "She speaks 3 languages. None of them are the truth."

That's winning right there.

Steeltime, feel free to continue supporting the alt right, far right, whatever you want to call it. \

.

Putting fake labels is what you people do. We call them neither "the far right" or "alt right" but rather what they are..."right" and you're wrong. Time you grow up and face it Tibs like so many on your side already have.

The left is the screeching, preening, whining punk who labels every opposing view as "extreme." Seriously, what conservative have the screeching lefties not labeled "extreme"? If you label Ben Shapiro as "extreme," you are a slavish leftie butt gerbil.

Tibs has made it crystal clear that he lacks the level of integrity required to place himself above these "screeching lefties". He is one.

He has never, nor will he ever be able to refute or disprove anything people like Shapiro, Malkin have to say...so what option does he have other than stick an "extremist" label on them and run.

Tibs my friend, if you would, listen to Candance starting at about 3:05. Then please expose her for her extremism.
Holy **** she's good here. Real good.

BOOM

Hell of a good find. She's soooo good. Sooo smart.

DBS threw a bunch of bullshit at the wall, hoping something would stick. I don't recall ever calling anyone here a Nazi, over the years I've posted on the board. There were numerous threads where things got heated, around the time of Charlottesville. You know - when actual far-right Nazis marched on the city streets and ended up murdering an innocent lady that sad afternoon.

I called out Trump for being soft - at best - during that time. I argued vehemently with those who tried to sugarcoat the alt right marching with tiki torches shouting 'Jews will not replace us' by bringing up Antifa and their antics. None of this is right. Antifa also needs to be called out and critizied for their actions. As the saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right.

As far as DBS's ridiculous claim, of course I would only call a true Nazi a Nazi to their face. Someone who clearly holds racist, anti-semitic views. Same goes for this messageboard.

The fact our President didn't take a point-blank, clear-as-day stand against the far-right Nazis on that day, was to nobody's benefit and quite frankly, shocking. At least for those who view America the home of the free and the brave. The America that went to war against fascism and buried hundreds of thousands of brave patriots who died fighting the anti-semite, racist ************* Nazis, tooth and nail.

That is the America that I'm proud of, and I won't apologize for upholding those same standards after all these years.
You lying sack of ****.
Not your family or friends or neighbors, just you.
Not "you people" or "the whole lot of you" or any other biased groupings like you regularly post.
Read up on what you call, demean, opine, etc about large swaths of people, including many on this board.

Something switched in your neurons a few years back, and you can't even see it in your posts. You rehash bs and name calling and group biases repeatedly given the lens of the issue of your day.

You are Groundhog Day Tibsy, unable to remove yourself from the hateful loop playing in your libtard head. Too bad, because you used to be accepting of those you did not agree with.

Maybe, in 2024, your TDS will subside and you can return to "normal". I hope so, but I doubt it, because of your penchant for gullibly believing whatever bs your dopamine receptor recognizes as Soma for the day. You are simply unable to realize/accept that you just might be wrong about a few things.....until that happens, you are just a repetitive waste of energy.

GroundHog Day Tibsy.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

Brokeback Deer Camp

Pete Buttigieg Goes Deer Hunting in Michigan

“I’ll be seeing it in a few weeks on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, because in 2019 in rural Michigan, you cannot stop a man from going deer hunting with his husband’s father,” he said in front of thousands of cheering Democrats

Buttigieg used a similar line to talk about his red-state credentials when he was running for Chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

“I’m from Indiana. And I support the Second Amendment,” he said during the DNC chair debate in February 2017. “I spent Thanksgiving morning in a deer blind with my boyfriend’s father. ”

On Monday, Buttigieg told reporters that he used a rifle to hunt.

“Bowhunting is way past my skill level,” he said according to CBS News. “Rifle hunting probably is, too, but we’re going to do it since it’s Thanksgiving.”

Buttigieg’s husband Chasten also reminded his followers that Buttigieg was hunting during Thanksgiving.

“I’m thankful for a patient and dedicated husband who joins his father-in-law hunting, even when it’s snowing and freezing outside,” he wrote on Twitter.
