The Pittsburgh Steelers have always been somewhat of a quiet organization. A lot of internal happenings and storylines stay in-house rather than getting leaked to the outside world. General Manager Omar Khan has also always been very careful regarding what he says when in front of a microphone. It's hard to ever truly take him at his word, especially since he once stated that he was excited about Kenny Pickett's future with the franchise only to trade him just weeks later. Everything he says has to be taken with a grain of salt, but it's worth analyzing his words whenever he talks publicly.

Just a thought, if it fits from a scheme perspective, this would maybe help with depth. It’s a bit of a gamble but could be beneficial for most parties. E. Neal is a wildcard making the transition to guard plus injuries. At least he’s played in the NFL and he could solidify there depth. Yes, injuries are a problem. Yes, we don’t know what their line is going to look like, but there are two buried players in Johnson and Neal. Let’s clear out some space pre-training camp and see what’s what. It might be better for everybody except Will. That’s a coin toss. Also, it’s definitely not good for Brandon Allen.
