1st day of training camp and the two young receivers have mis-communication problems with the Rodgers.

Their has to be a chemistry developed and Aaa-ron seems to not be able to do that with rookie / young receivers.

Germie & Roman both had troubles with him today.

Ben Roethlisberger "MADE" rookie receivers right out of the gate.

Maybe it's the Aaa-ron, they went as far as bringing in his buddy from Green Bay that did Jack-**** in favor of benching Roman Wilson.

Two years in a row now, geriatric and young top notch receivers having troubles.

I'll be glad hence the Steelers finally get past these OLD ****-ing QBs, caused by being in the previous coaching ****-sizzle non-QB developing regime.

it's that prick tomlin's fault

hopefully they get the bugs worked out

I don’t think Tomlin’s a prick, but he sure put this team in a crappy situation with the QB position the last few years.

Sorry for the rant, but this may put Germie (a very very good WR) on the bench.

Time will help both WRs to hopefully get that “chemistry” that Aaa-run so desires.

Bernard is new he will have some hiccups. Wilson just is having an extension of his problems a year ago. I will tell you if both don’t work themselves onto the field and run the right patterns and plays their playing reps will diminish sooner than later.

Saying that I have confidence in Bernard to correct himself sooner than later.

For me Wilson will continue being a bubble player…

It’s the first day, but one of the coaches should be watching Rodgers and Bernard closely.

If Rodgers doesn’t do his part to work with Bernard and help him improve, and throw him the ball it should be Rodgers to the bench or on waivers, not Bernard.

If Bernard just isn’t good enough yet that’s obviously on Bernard

This team isn’t winning a super bowl this year, Rodgers is a place holder. Bernard’s development as a high draft pick for the future is more important than Rodgers

That’s right it’s the first day, that’s the first thing I said

Rodgers has a history of preferring more experienced WRs over younger ones.

We’re not hoisting the Lombardi this year. Develop the young players

Bernard’s development is way more important than anything Rodgers does or wants to do long term if we want to break this cycle of mediocrity, someone should be making sure that’s considered, I’ll stick by that statement

Bernard was a second round pick. He needs to be a hell of a lot more then a camp darling.
BTW so Rodgers demands precision. He should. These guys are pros. He's the leader of the O. Receivers need to be precise.

Now here's the thing though about that article......thats the thing I hate about click bait sports writing. Nick puts out a tweet saying there was miscommunication twice 1st day of camp. THATS IT........THATS ALL.HE MOTHER F-ING WROTE

then the article makes innuendo about Ridgers not getting along with his receivers, and not developing with them, and this and that and all the steelers fans get their panties in a wedge and ARon is this and Aron is that.

He's a HOF QB. Learn your f-ing routes and run them right and get on board with your QB. There's no crying in football. I'm sure Aaaron communicates to his receivers what he wants and how he wants his receivers to do x,y, or z. Is it not up to them to learn and execute?

Definately WRs need to know their routes / play.

It started the same way last year and Roman Wilson ended up sitting.

They brought in a WR who essentially got $7mil towards his retirement, add in the TE who was worthless.

Aaa-Ron isn’t above having to step up as well, work more with the young guys and get them onto the field of play.

Yes, he is doing that but also needs to be watched so as not just using excuses to not have to work with the young WRs.

I’m advocating for not a repeat of last year and developing chemistry this year, we need the Germie on the field of play.

It’s early in the process so can’t get too worried at this point. However, I do like what I’m seeing with this new HC and his staff. Much more attention to detail and communication. I like that they are moving TJ around rather than keeping him in one spot. Also read that McCarthy had the benches removed and that the pace at training camp is very up tempo. No one is just standing around waiting their turn but always involved in some type of drill.
I think McCarthy is all business and it’s not about him like the last guy we had here. I also think this is a much more competent and talented coaching staff than what we’ve had here.
Let’s see how this all translates on the field come September but still much too early to get concerned about anything.

I know a lot of us wanted change and may have been worried with a veteran coach. We certainly are getting change and hopefully it pays off.

Absolutely

Bernard was a high volume work horse at Alabama, their most reliable guy in my opinion, Bermuda would know best

It’s the Steelers coaches and Rodgers job to help him become that here and make the transition to the pros.

Yes Bernard has to run his routes well, but Rodgers need to give him the ability to grow and not freeze him out in favor of pulling another another geriatric vet off the couch mid season that was good with Rodgers 7 years ago

Maybe we just suck at drafting high character/high athletic type of WRs. A A ron is the QB that teaches everyone.....or so I was told. You either truth in the Vet and let him do his magic or move on from him. We obviously didn't move on from him.....so we have to let A A ron simply do his thing now. Get done A A ron!!!!! Prove the naysayers wrong!!!!!

Ok, not sure where original poster got his info, but from all accounts (PG, other respected sources) Wilson and Bernard did very good yesterday.

I’ll be happy to have Rodgers prove himself by him helping Bernard and Bernard helping himself having a solid rookie season and being a fixture in the offense and not going scrap heap diving in the middle of the year for washed up buddies of Rodgers to replace a high draft pick like last year

You draft a guy 2nd round Bernard or 3rd round Wilson it’s everyone’s job to make them better, including the player. The failure to do that: Wilson, Najee, Pickett, Jones, Pickens, etc is why this franchise has been irrelevant the past 8 years

Your 42 year old QB who will retire in February, who hasn’t done jack since he left the Packers years ago, doesn’t get to dictate the direction of the offense
