I know way back when in the "good ole days"......some of the political conservations were much more tame on this board...
In fact, back then when I leaned more towards what the Democratic party used to stand for, we shared some PM's about political happenings in the U.S.
Just like the country overall....the political environment on this board has become rancid, nasty, and way too personal...
IMHO---the country needs a huge media, political, and cultural enema before its too late..

I do chuckle at you Tibs a bit with your TDS. You do admit it. And I understand it. In the '90s I had CDS. Clinton Derangement Syndrome. Still do to some degree. I just want to puke whenever I see one of them on TV or something. Bill Clinton could cure cancer and I would think there was some kind of catch to it.

I read your tear-drenched post about your family. Good on them. In the past, I tried to have discussions with you over "sensitive" political topics. Keep your Bud Light. You say you're against the violent actions from protests, etc - yet support the very people who fund and keep those going. You're too politically blind to see that. NO ONE wanted to see private property burned, businesses boarded up, people dying at the hands of mobs, or anything of the like. It's horrible. No, we didn't even like that they were "attacking" the Capitol Building, but we could certainly understand why they would have went after the government officials. Just as you were clapping like a trained seal when your beloved Antifa were trying to get into the White House.

Literally no one gives a flying **** about your heritage. Good on you for being proud of it, but no one cares any more about yours than they do mine or anyone else's. And while you gleefully exclaim that you valiantly returned to Hungary - its not lost on anyone that your family fled the country to get away from the very economic and military powers you're now supporting (even though you're ignorant to the facts that you ARE supporting it).
For Christ's sake, you even state that there are 3 billionaires who have more money than the bottom population of the world. Well, of course. It's a matter of simple economics and supply/demand. Can you also point out the number of jobs and people pulled INTO prosperity by those people and compare that to the number of jobs and people pulled INTO prosperity by the people on the bottom? I'm sure that would be skewed as well. So why not ***** at the bottom and demand they do more to help themselves?

What always strikes about this truth us that the people complaining about it...what are they prepared to do? I don't know who the top 3 billionaires are, but lets say for the sake of argument one is Bezos. Are the people whining gonna stop buying off Amazon? What about the myriad of devices that people have? Gonna give that up? People keep feeding the beast then gripe about the beast getting fat.

Tibs, if you're still here, my concern is the blatant hypocrisy of it all. Mrs. Clinton used bleachbit on hard drives and smashed cell phones with hammers after being caught with a private server in her closet. The response from James Comey......yeah, she did it, but oh well, we aren't going to pursue it. Mr. Biden is on tape blackmailing Urkraine officials to back off investigating his son and the MSM says our own eyes are lying to us. Justice is no longer blind in the country and no one with the power to get that back seems to care.
But more importantly, do we want to see this political spectacle become the norm? What prevents this from becoming cyclical, depending on the party in power?
