I don’t care who gets media credit. If it wasn’t for trump parking some wolfs in their backyard and saying he will use them .....nothing happens

After many years of "talking", 6 nation summits, trying to get China to the right thing, etc. Trump used a simple strategy of talking very tough, and issued threats against North Korea.

Trump played the bad cop role, and now the North Korean leader is chummy with the South Korean leader.

He wasn't last year, or 5 years ago, or 10 years ago.

Trump's bad cop role allowed for the natural evolution you are seeing now.
If this actually works out, then POTUS will have engineered the most significant geopolitical event in at least a generation.

Much work to do, but Trump, and only Trump, is in line to be properly recognized as the greatest global leader of the 21st century.

I hear you, but I'm not completely on board. This has everything to do with the South Korean president. He's the one that was open to a unified olympic team. He's the one that set up the meet and extended the olive branch that allowed the meeting at the border and the crossing to happen. Check out the meeting, it is really incredible to watch, and the warmth from Kim, I don't think can be faked.




I still think Trump has a big role to play. It will be up to him to sign a peace treaty and officially end the Korean War. To get denuclearization, we'd have to make concessions, like remove all troops and nukes from South Korea, and end all sanctions on DPNK. Those are huge concessions, but if he's willing to make them in the name of peace, he should be recognized for his role in creating peace on the Korean peninsula. I personally think that is Nobel Peace Prize worthy, but I do think he's in line behind President Moon and Kim Jong at this time, for that award.
 
Short or resigning, I don't think the left will give Trump credit for anything, but I do think he had a hand in this. Even the MSM, reluctantly, is giving him props.

“President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize,” Moon reportedly told a meeting of senior secretaries, according to a Korean official who briefed the media. “What we need is only peace.”

The comments came just days after Moon met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un for a summit at the Peace House in Panmunjom.

Trump continued to play an active role on Monday, floating the possibility of holding his expected summit with Kim at the same location.
 
Trump is going to win a Nobel prize if they can get a firm peace agreement and get those nukes out of NoKo. Liberal heads will spin off their shoulders

I think a lot of this congratulating of anyone is really putting the cart before the horse. Until a true peace agreement is signed, nukes are gone and reunification is more than a pipe dream, I will remain skeptical. I remember all the trips to the JSA over the years because of this fuckhead regime.

That said, if all of this comes to fruition, then Trump will deserve at least some credit. He has been influential in moving this thing forward. Anyone denying that is living in an alternate reality. And if bringing peace to the Korean peninsula doesn't earn a Nobel Peace Prize, then the Nobel Peace is worthless. Kinda already is, but this will be the nail in its coffin.

Funny and great idea, but it wouldn't happen. Trump would never turn down the money award that comes with it.
 
So let me see if I have this straight .... for about the last 65 years, this country has poured all of its resources into the military preparing for war.... to the point that they have allowed their citizens to literally starve.... not even setting aside enough money to build a functioning infrastructure for its people. But now , because of a few idle threats and insults from Trump, they are going to abandon that ideology and join the rest of the world.

I'm trying to rattle myself and see if I actually just read this. Investing in our military has allowed American Citizens to literally starve? We don't have a functioning infrastructure.

While I would destroy this in a nano-second, let me ask you why you've omitted the $118Billion we spend annually on illegal immigrants, the BILLIONs wasted on Federal and State pensions to Government workers, the BILLIONS wasted on pork programs that line the pockets of those who support political candidates for studies on how Barbie dolls could possible mate with GI Joe soldiers, etc, and so on?

Having a military that keeps your *** safe and mine keeps this nation great.

Let me guess, you're all for a new world order, no nations, no borders, one Cabal to rule all, just like John Lennon sang, right? Unicorns and pixie dust ****?

Regardless of why this works out, if it does, i think it is close or even to the Israel/Egypt deal brokered by Carter.

That was a well deserved Peace Prize.
