I've been on this a long time. The game has changed there are few of the old stand in the pocket 5 and 7 count qbs anymore. The running games all use a spread zone schemes that are poison to the 3-4. We are out dated as is most of the other 3-4s. To compensate they go with the 2 down line with stand up outside linebacks/ rusher which I think the numbers prove out is even worse. The seattle shithawks have proved like, the old steel curtain, you must control the line of scrimmage. You have to put big uglies on the line and hit ppl in the fing mouth. We have the guys, tuitt and heyward such be rushing the passer every down forcing the zone tackles to deal with them two defensive tackles should rushing the passer too forcing the center to stay home. You can still blitz, look how seattle uses Irwin. We need new schemes not new players.

Im sick of the excuses in the berg that the coaches are great with talent but out of our front seven 4 are number one picks and 2 are number two picks! Either we have talent or we don't someone should be fired!
