I read an article this morning that IF tge Steelers were looking to trade Watt they wouldn't get what you think. It said due to his age and diminishing skills. They would get a third. Then I cross reference reported asking packages for Myles Garrett all of three months ago. It said a 1st and a day 2 selection. Like could you even do the slightest research before you publish something under the Sports Illustrated banner.

TJ's vast drop off in performance (0 sacks the last 3 weeks) hurt his trade value. He dropped from 22.5 sacks in just 2021 to just 11.5 in 2024. That's HALF of his height. He later admitted he should have let the staff move him around, I guess admitting that he didn't allow the staff to do so last year. He seemed disinterested at the end of last season, where he put up zero sacks the last month.
I think a team like the Commanders with the Cheap QB you'd be the village idiot to not give up a first and a second (which is what I think his value would be.)Last year teams layered their edge protection significantly. That isn't a chip and then one on one. That is beat one guy then the other. That takes a lot of resource on a player.

They seemed to kick him outside a lot. The pulling opposite side guard seemed to be the #2 guy he had to beat a lot.
Yes, they used RBs / C / others, but it seemed like that guard was there often.

The major argument against Garrett receiving the DPOY award over Watt was because Garrett disappeared the last 6 games of the season. I believe he had 0 sacks.
The argument for him receiving the award was because teams began double teaming him, allowing the rest of the D to be more productive.

I think of coach posting **** here for years, then disappearing for a couple months (probably therapy), coming back with better interactions for a few months, then going off the rails......disappearing again (more "help") and re-emerging as Lloyd (or was it GregLloyd for a minute?) with a newer "boom chuckalucka" more 70s high-school narcissist personality. My issue with Fordy was his racist comments, nothing vulgar, but he used race enough times in arguments that it turned my stomach. He was never like that in the past and I enjoyed his posts over the years but something changed recently.
Meh For what its worth, some of the most controversial posters here are what drives the offseason... lol its like an andy Kaufman skit or listening to Madden.. entertaining if kept in perspective, annoying or enraging if taken at face value...
