This is where the Steelers have faltered

Sad but true, bout 90% of us armchair coaches out coach Tomlin bout 90% of the time too though... Being conservative with the 2nd stat.

Obviously,
it's not what you know, but who you know and that's what obviously gets coach Tomlin above the line, so to speak.

Salute the nation

Attack from the opening kickoff till the final whistle or the game is secured whichever comes first. Win first down on defense to force some obvious pass downs. Blitz like last week, 7 and 8 in the box. Live with getting beat deep and giving up some TDs to create indecision in Flacco and get some key turnovers.

Lets hope that the last two were not a fluke. If in fact the game plan by everyone involved was played well and worked as designed they might be able to do it again. Lets hope the line is getting comfortable working together and that DL lets the dogs loose again. It looks like the only way to beat this team is blitz the **** out of everyone. Dl can rush everyone often and hits on fluko will mess up his accuracy. Cortez has the physical skills they need to play good corner, right now the issue is his technique. Lets hope he can improve it and make a significant step or two this week. Maybe big play Willie Gay or Troy will get a pick and at least give us a short field.

If the Steelers play like they have the last two and as Ben said "Why can't we do this every week?" they may be in good shape. Also Harrison is getting back in to game shape and is likely really going to be ready to play this week in his relief role.

I believe I saw where Harbaugh is 19th and Tomlin is 22nd all-time in their initial W-L percentage as head coaches. I think that doesn't show a huge differential and that a lot of teams and fans would be pretty happy with either one. As for the superiority of "armchair coaches" just get real.

He does ? Even when we beat them Harbaugh still outcoaches him ?.Explain this in detail how this works ....

Well, it's a new Day *******. Offense is still on fire!

Anytime we play the Ravens the key to success is pressuring Flacco. Alot of us, including me, cant stand him and think he is overrated, however when he gets time he's a different QB. He's very streaky. When he gets hot hes as good as it gets in the NFL. With that being said the Steelers need to come out throwing. They need to get the offense cranked up and get the lead. They need to put the Ravens in obvious passing situations so LeBeau can crank up the pressure. If we jump up 10-0 or 14-0, we can feed off the crowd and the momentum to victory. Home field advantage in this game is huge. The Steelers need to use it to their advantage. Get the lead with the no-huddle, keep the pressure on throughout, then start mixing in the run to close it out. At the end of the day we are 6-3 and got a division win to boot.

This was really good analysis. You ended up being dead on. Rep for you.

The steelers had several miscues today and they could have cost them the game. There was a fortunate call on the quarterback sneak near mid field and touch down number six did not have conclusive views to show good for sure or not good. It would have been nice to have the replay back up the call on the field. The muffed extra point was a huge break. Good execution by the guys but that has to be a very low percentage play.

Glad we won but the team needs to play better they did not look as sharp as they did in the last two weeks.

Dude, what in the blue **** are you even talking about?

Every game has mistakes. Every game. Are we fortunate that Ben's fumbled snap came after the game was largely decided? Sure. But the fact that he made a mistake does not discount all the **** he, the defense, and the coaches did right.

I can't tell if you're a hater or a pessimist, but damn. Enjoy the dub.

Let me spell it out for you then. 3 and outs not good. no points in the first quarter not good. 3 sacks in 3 plays not good. running play for a big loss not good. fumble not good. allowing a kick off return for a touch down not good. Botched extra point not good, the fact that the punter turned it into a 2 point conversion great! Needing a very favorable spot to convert not good. No first downs in the first quarter not good.

Lots of mistakes and miscues. Glad they won. Glad they were able to over come the issues. The last game was damn near perfect. Big difference they did not shoot themselves in the foot on numerous occasions.

My point is they have lots to correct. Now were there lots of good things in the game yep there were I do not ignore the things that need corrected even though the team won. I hope the coaches do not as well. there are lots of things that need to be done.

We just beat the **** out of a pretty good team. I mean we out finessed them and out toughed them and the scoreboard showed it. I agree that we looked even better against the Colts, but you could have put Seattle/Denver/*Marsha out there last night and we would have won.

Well, check out the pom pom waving Monday morning quarterback!

well check out the ******* idiotic troll.....
I'd have to say you are far more of a troll than I am. Witness your behavior here in this thread, doing the exact same thing you're always whining about other people doing when the Steelers **** the bed.

I'd have to say, what you have to say doesn't mean **** to anyone, troll

They never really established the tempo I thought they would need to win the game. However, when they came out like dog **** on offense for the first quarter, the defense was able to bring enough pressure to make Bert throw his passes away. Then they got the turnovers and he started pressing which is what they wanted cause he sucks when he presses. The offense caught fire. It was a great game well coached and executed. Great play before halftime to Wheeton. Loved the look on Hairballs face after they zapped them there. It was like wtf is this?
