Most likely bust:
Cam Ward QB Miami
Not because I don’t like him but because he’s going to such a god awful team. A team that has our cast offs in Dan Moore protecting his blind side and Van Jefferson starting at WR. Ward reminds me a lot of Levis in the fact he has a big arm but requires a very good line in order to process information. He also likes looking deep which takes time. Something he likely doesn’t get in Tennessee.

Most likely to fall:
Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado
Can’t be a bust if he’s not that good to begin with. This one I’m struggling with. I pushed him up my draft board due to reading others about him. Now that I have watched more film I really don’t think he’s a first or second round pick. Maybe third. But I personally don’t take him until day 3. I will likely update my board FYI before the draft and my miss evaluation on him is the reason. I believe most NFL GM’s probably aren’t buying the hype either.

Bold prediction:
Jalen Milroe QB Alabama
My bold prediction is Milroe is the second QB off the board. And it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s to the Browns.

Best of the bunch in 5 years:
Jaxson Dart QB Ole Miss
He could definitely be the guy that falls too but it doesn’t matter where he gets drafted. In 5 years he’s the best of the bunch.

Shocker:
Tyler Shough QB Louisville
Goes first round. Not sure what is the hype on him and Milroe but they got momentum going into the draft. My fear is if we don’t sign A-A-Ron and a few guys go before we pick is Art wonders his dementia ridden butt off his pile of money like he’s Scrooge McDuck and ruins our draft yet again making the team draft an overrated 25 year old quarterback.

Steal of the draft:
Seth Henigan QB Memphis
If you haven’t watched the tape of him and Gruden it is a must. Kid is smart as a whip. Has Brock Purdy written all over him. Not physically gifted as the top guys but his accuracy and touch are well above the curve and his brain is what separates him. Worse case scenario you have a ten year backup that’s going to another coach in the QB room and during film study. Highest floor imo.

Can’t really disagree with your assessments.

The only thing that concerns me is that if Sanders is available at 21, Tomlin will never allow them to pass on him.

Personally, I would want to get a QB from the Dart/Shough/McCord/Smith/Howard group (in that order). I would also bring in Cam Miller (NDSU) & Tommy Mellot as UDFA’s. Miller as a developmental QB and would move Mellot to RB.

Nice Fordie...

I have strong feelings that Milroe goes to the Saints at 1.9.

Not challenging your opinions but I'm standing by my support of all the SEC QBs plus Sanders.

At this point, we need a lightning strike. Let the next thoughts marinate...

We all saw how Fields managed games last year and he was better than advertised with us and there are two new rookies that can do that same thing - Milroe and Dart.

Factually speaking, Milroe is a great teammate and coachable (yes, that's said with tongue in cheek) but it raises my opinion on players that are excellent chateau character players.

I'm going to do a bit more research but, IIRC, Dart made big NIL money with the Nike and the Jordan brand in college. Why do I mention this? If most think that Sanders will bring a circus--- I'd venture to say Dart may very well bring one too...

Finally, the falling star in Sanders is very intriguing because he has all the intangibles and I, personally, think he's the closest QB with "Ben-like" game play.

I think we have options. It'll be interesting regardless...

I heard on a sports talk radio show, not sure which one, but a statistical analysis of Sanders' throws showed that like 75% of them were within 5 yards of the LOS. It was brought up because they said judging his tape would be difficult because you could only judge 25% of his throws. I don't know how true any of that is, but it could be a reason why he is falling.

This is a ridiculous assertion. The difference between Sanders and Dart is that Sanders brought the circus to college ball, so there is a reasonable chance he'll do the same in the NFL. Far as I know, regardless of NIL money, there was no circus around Dart in college. Or, they could both end up being poster children for professional football. Who knows?

Or, just say you want Milroe or Sanders. I don't think anyone would hold it against you, regardless of what they think of either player.

There's one that talks about how well it went too. I'd venture to say that a 5 hr meeting more than likely went well.

Fully agree, just showing the flip side.

I'd say Sanders has more insight into the makings of the NFL than any other QB in the draft. Say what you want about the flamboyant Dieon, but the dad educated his son in the likes of the NFL.

As far as the business side of things go, Shedeur is miles ahead. His skill set is determined by others than myself.

Salute the nation

I actually have gone on the record and stated that Dart is my pick.

Ridiculous, or not, Dart has a moxie about him that could present positively or negatively in regards to his "inner circle" is what I've been told.

It doesn't bother me on any form or facet. Just bringing it up for discussion, Sarge...

My thoughts exactly. 5 hours is mighty long to be in a bad meeting...

As in most things I'm sure there was positives and negatives within the meeting.

The media seems to perpetrate both sides endlessly, like they know more than anyone else................ which is my job.............. (LoL)

Dart seems to have some arrogance to him which can be good or bad, but i do not think he will bring a circus with him. Deion certainly won't hold back when it comes to his son which again could be good if he is calling out our coaching. I think Dart is the most well rounded QB, but not likely be makes it to us

I think the Deion thing is being blown out of proportion to be honest. He's the coach of a D1 college football team. He's not going to be hanging around Pittsburgh or whatever city drafts Sheduer, trying to control every little thing. He has his own **** to handle. Deion is also a loud personality, but he was never an issue or distraction. He didn't hold workouts in his driveway, and you don't get to the top, and stay at the top for as long as he did without putting in the work as well. So I think the whole Deion circus thing is overblown.

There’s no doubt about the arrogance comment, there’s nothing wrong with it as long as the individual keeps it in perspective. Dart has a reputation of making some poor decisions which may be due to his over confidence. Confidence and arrogance can be two different things, in the Ole Miss bowl game against Duke, Dart waived off the heir apparent when Kiffin attempted to switch QB’s with 4 minutes to go and Ole Miss up by around 30. He then attempted a 30 or 40 yard touchdown pass while Duke thought they were going to run the clock out. Talk about a disregard for your teammate and embarrassing your opponent. Kiffin had to apologize to Duke’s head coach and even slightly chastised Dart during a-post game interview with Dart smiling and standing next to him.

A QB who goes for the death knell? sign me the fk up.

I don’t think the Steelers are looking at a QB in the first round, I don’t believe day two is a consideration at this point either. IMO, it’s DL and then RB unless there’s 4 DL taken before pick 21.

for ***** and giggles... let's assume the Clowns take Travis Hunter.

at 21, Shedeur is available. But, so is Dart.

Cleveland calls wanting to trade their 2nd and 3rd for our 1st.
Take the call or not?

Tidbit: Cleveland has the 1st pick in the 2nd round and no other team behind us in the first needs a QB.

That’s like tossing up a three leading by 20 with five seconds on the clock in basketball. Someone is going for a flagrant foul the next time they meet and it tells me your’re all about yourself and stats.

I’d do it in a heart beat

They would need to throw in their 3rd to even talk to me, and even then, because they are a division rival... I make them overpay and get something next year too.

Something I should have mentioned in the arrogance comment. If I thought Dart was “the” guy who would solve our an situation and lead us to the promised land, oI could learn to love him lol.
