One bad double bogey..was nice seeing him back at the top of the leaderboard on a Sunday at a major. Hope he keeps it up.

I guess he needed that two years off for everything to heal up.
I saw a golf instructor on TV years ago who said that Tiger generated too much torque in his swing for his back and left knee to hold up and it seems he was right.

I was pulling for Tiger too, but he just does not have the IT factor anymore. He used to be immune and thrive on the pressure now he is human and chokes. I am not sure he can ever get his mystique / mojo / aura whatever you want to call it back.

I like to root against Tiger not because I dislike him, but rather just like to pull for the guys in the field. However, it's hard to do until he starts winning tournaments and majors again.

Heard yesterday he will participate in two of the FedEx Cup events later this year. First time since 2013 Tiger has qualified. Good news for him.

Wasn't a Tiger fan at all because of the way he used to treat people, but I'm really impressed by the comeback after back surgeries. Phenomenal. And he appears a lot more humble and fan friendly. People can change.

If he only plays in 2 of the 4 events, he won't have a chance to win it. That doesn't make much sense but maybe he is writing off the possibility of winning the cup and sticking with a schedule this year so he doesn't risk his back again.

Nobody would have guessed that Tiger would be on the Ryder Cup team this year, and now he looks like a lock for a captain's pick - and Mickelson might make it as well. Will be a fun event to watch.

Exactly. Who would have thought? Also, a helluva an effort by him to finish second in the PGA. Coming from nearly out of nowhere. What a player.

no doubt it was a great effort and he hit several amazing shots. Unfortunately he choked on his most important shot which was an easy par 5. If he doesn't get his driving under control he won't be winning majors.

On a side note brooks koepka should be getting more recognition. He has won 3 of the last 7 majors and and was able to block out all the "noise" at the PGA. His performance was very impressive.

Absolutely, he actually missed the masters due to injury so he’s won half of the last 6 majors he played in.

He gets zilch recognition only around here where he is from
I don’t know him personally but I do know his Dad,played fantasy football with him,He’s a Steeler fan from Bridgeport WV

You guys are right, Koepka is playing excellent golf right now. I hope he does well for us in the Ryder Cup.

The good news for Tiger is he has plenty of time to get ready for 2019. I think if he stays healthy and practices like he always has, he'll have a pretty good chance at the Majors.

Yes was good to see. If Rose didn't birdie the last hole Tiger would have won the Fed ex cup. Tiger was shaky down the stretch will be interesting to see if those nervesgo away since he pulled it off today

I thought you had to be top five to win it all

i am not sure how the system works honestly. i know tiger was 20th in points coming in. There were about 5-6 scenarios tiger needed to happen to win it. One of them was rose finishing t5 or worse. I think dustin johnson would have won if he got second or better. Next year the system will be less complicated and be based on strokes. For example i think they said rose would have had a 5 stroke adv on Tiger based on next years format.

Here is what had to happen.... Everything did except for Rose who birdied the last hole.

Tiger Woods has a shot to win the FedExCup, but he'll need some others to falter on Sunday to help make it happen.

Tiger Woods is the only two-time winner of the FedExCup, having been victorious in the season-long race’s debut in 2007 and then again in 2009.

To become the first three-time winner, Woods needs some help despite being in a commanding position in The Tour Championship, the FedExCup’s playoff finale.

For starters, Woods needs to win The Tour Championship. And he’s in good position — after a 5-under-par 65, he leads Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose by three shots.

Then *all* of the following needs to occur:

Bryson DeChambeau, the leader coming into the final playoff events, needs to finish tied for 15th or worse. He is currently tied for 21st.

No. 2 Justin Rose needs to finish in a three-way tie for fifth or worse. He is currently tied for second.

No. 3 Tony Finau needs to finish in a tie for third or worse. He is tied for 6th.

No. 4 Dustin Johnson and No. 5 Justin Thomas need to finish in a three-way tie for second or worse. Both are tied for eighth.

And No. 6 Keegan Bradley needs to finish in a tie for second or worse. He is tied for 27th.

Giant chokes by the top 5. Rose salvaged the last hole and barely got the cup. Tiger has learned to play a controlled game instead of depending on power. Well done and an amazing comeback.
