okay, **** last week. (until Pittsburgh Dad is released)

time to look forward to week 3.

Who is going to be healthy? Watt? Haden? Bush?

Is Turner going to be available? (edit, reports are he will be fined but not suspended)

Can the running game get on track

Will Ben realize Freiermuth needs more targets?

Will clayool man up and fight for the ball?

Will the defense have enough players to stop the bungle offense?

What we've learned in the first two games is that when we're healthy we can beat anyone. But without guys like Watt, Haden, Bush we're average at best. Ben can't carry the team like he could 10-15 years ago. We can win with him as long as his surrounding cast stays healthy. Kind of the same situation Peyton Manning was in with the Broncos in 2015.

LOVE Pittsburgh Dad !!!

1 or 2 of the three but either way WATT is the man out.

Turner plays but his spit stays at home.

the run game will show life but also Najee will get a few dump offs as well.

BEN needs to read this message board more often as we have what he needs.

Claypool will somewhat man up but needs another week or so of ME punching him.

YES, the "D" will have what it takes and the "O" will give them some breathers as well.

Just for clarity, BEN has been carrying this team for all but about 3-4 years of his entire career.

I though for a moment I'd get to eat Aditi's taco but then she said it's on the practice squad.!

EDIT: We need Taco and if he can help.......... more power to the front office. This move also tells me Tuitt is still aways out.

Who is going to be healthy? Watt? Haden? Bush? - Haden comes back this week. They sit Watt and Bush to allow them to heal a little longer. Watt because his injury is relatively fresh and Bush because they feel they have a capable backup (for this game) in Spillane.

Is Turner going to be available? (edit, reports are he will be fined but not suspended) - Turner will be available. However, he will have to wear a spit guard by league mandate.

Can the running game get on track - The game appeared to slow down a little for Najee from week one to week 2. It slows down some more this week and he has about 75 yards and 1 TD rushing. Ben remembers that Bell used to be his go to guy when under duress and uses Najee accordingly.

Will Ben realize Freiermuth needs more targets? - 4 catches (4 targets) 55 yards

Will clayool man up and fight for the ball?

Will the defense have enough players to stop the bungle offense?
- Yes. Barely. They will be gassed by the 4th quarter but will gut it out and squash the Bungle's late attempt at a rally.

I like your Freiermuth 4-4, can you hear this CHASE ? If Chase could get 50% it'd be great but just for the record I bet he improves over last week.

Always hard to judge what injuries will linger and others that are just precautionary.

Is Turner going to be available? (edit, reports are he will be fined but not suspended)
I'd assume yes. We should've heard by now if he'd be out.

Can the running game get on track
Doubt it.

Will Ben realize Freiermuth needs more targets?
Freiermuth isn't playing like a rookie right now. I'd definitely like to see him get 5-6 targets, particularly working down the seam and OVER THE MIDDLE of the field.

Will clayool man up and fight for the ball?
He rarely does it. I don't expect that to change this week, but I do think he does get at least 2 big plays.
Will the defense have enough players to stop the bungle offense?
If Watt is back lookout. He will feast on Burrow that that offensive line. Ingram and Highsmith should have a good game and Heyward has to be one of the most dominant IDL in the NFL right now. So impressive over the first two weeks.

What's Dan Kreider doing? Need some power running formations with a lead FB.

Oh I forgot, we're a bunch formation 5 yard passing offense.

I think our defense will be just fine.

time to look forward to week 3.

Who is going to be healthy? Watt? Haden? Bush? I think all three will play unless there is a setback.

Is Turner going to be available? (edit, reports are he will be fined but not suspended) Hopefully whoever he faces will keep their saliva to their self.

Can the running game get on track? Guns n Roses might need to sing just a little patience because that won't fix itself quickly. But they can pass to Najee while it is working it's way into respectable.

Will Ben realize Freiermuth needs more targets?
Slowly but Shirley.

Will Claypool man up and fight for the ball?
He needs to. The talent is there. I think the routes still a work in progress for him but those contested catches can come about sooner than later..
Will the defense have enough players to stop the bungle offense? Most will be back and ready to go. The bigger concern is will the offense show up before half time.
......

Thinking Yes for Haden, no helmet for Watt or Bush

Trai will be active and ready to let it fly

Running game will get more than 50 but less than 100, trending in the right direction.

Muth needs to wave at Ben more when he’s coming open, maybe wear elevator shoes and the brightest yellow gloves he can find too (can he use a flag to wave as well showing where the middle of the field is?)

Claypool has an improved game, OBVIOUSLY

THE Steelers D tries hard but gives up a lot of yardage to the Bungles who would go to win the game if they were anyone but the Bungles...but them Bungles once again somehow find a way to snatch defeat outta the jaws of victory throwing us a bone.

I've seen Claypool make some contested catches, it's not like the guy is a full-on Nancy, and if he got absolutely rocked last week (Didn't see the game sadly, I was putting up a wall in my basement) I can see that maybe he started alligatoring a bit, but some film study and a few guys pointing out that maybe he was too busy thinking about winning the prom queen crown later in that game and he will probably try to put the yips behind him.

I guess I'm not an offensive genius, but it seems to me if they're going to crowd the line and stack some linebackers you ought to run some two TE sets to help suck them in and then use Ebron and Muth to try to get over the top of the linebackers while JuJu and either Claypool or Washington try to stretch the DBs back a bit. That may open up some mid-level routes and force the defense rethink their linebacker strategy. (Note, personally, I may use Ebron more as a decoy than an actual target, but you know...)

It may be time to dumb-down Johnson's route tree. Is it possible the kid just doesn't quite understand where he's supposed to be on a given play? Perhaps there are too many reads for him and he just isn't quite brain-surgeony enough to sort out all the variables. While it may dumb down the offense, at least it would keep him from inadvertently causing interceptions because he failed to take the left turn at Albuquerque.
