The steelers training staff is run by Garrett Giemont,
Dude is 68... he started in the NFL as an assistant trainer at the age of 13... he also was on the Tampa Bay team when Tomlin was there.. Tomlin brought him here in 2007....

that’s just it, other than Rooney himself, Tomlin has his hand in every aspect of this team. Things are being damaged from the top down. Last year they got poor ratings from the players, the training staff.

Why not upgrade to some of the best……. Here it is costing them possibly division and playoff game(s).

The basics of the injury say its a two to four week recovery time... id keep him out of Detroit even if tgey cleared him as a precaution

If it was a greater injury than that he would already be on IR so they could get him back for the playoffs

Prayers for a speedy recovery. This is the deepest position on the team, though, no reason they should fall apart on D now.

That sounds more like a ceremonial position with the team. I think Phil Matusz, he is the head S&C coach, runs the show.
 
If I was betting that is probably contracted out. Not a full time staffer. Could be though. Isn't that more Natural Path then physio?

Really just depends on severity. He could be back next week. A lot of factors go into the time frame outside of just having a diagnosis.
 
Does he have any medical training or experience? Is he just a buddy of Tomlin?
 
It really sucks that we are going to miss him, most likely, for the rest of the season. They rarely win without him.
