Tua with another head injury. He's young, but this is tough to watch and you have to wonder is it worth it for him long-term.
Can't believe We made it through the first half without thisHock Tua
Mind reader...I was about to askwas it a bad one?
At least he got to his second contract. 167 million fully guaranteed. . It helps a bit.Tua with another head injury. He's young, but this is tough to watch and you have to wonder is it worth it for him long-term.
The financial security does. That wasn't even a hard hit he got tonight and he's the one who initiate it.At least he got to his second contract. 167 million fully guaranteed. . It helps a bit.
it is week 2 but I hope so.McDaniel's scheme had teams confused last year. Has the league caught up?
Why was Mia. favored in this game? Even tho it's in Mia., the Bills have owned them the last 4 or 5 years
The cap isn't going to have any impact on that hit last night. He literally ran into a fairly soft target, even softer than the padding on the caps, and still got concussed. He is just extremely susceptible to them at this point. I will be shocked if the Dolphins and/or NFL lets him back on the field again strictly from a liability stand point. That really wasn't a huge hit to trigger a concussion. He hit into Hamlin's midsection. No helmet to helmet, no head slamming the ground. He seems prone to them now. If he comes back, he should be wearing that new marshmallow protector.
None of the tackles that led to his concussions looked particularly bad. In addition to history of concussions, I read there are also genetic markers that make a person more prone to getting concussions. The financial security does. It has already proven to at minimal being a concern for his future. If he doesn’t retire now he should strongly think about not taking on the next contract.None of the tackles that led to his concussions looked particularly bad. His injury was caused by his occupation. I'd be stunned if the CBA didn't fully back players in situations like this.Interesting question...
If a player retires, he is liable to repay a prorated portion of his signing bonus and forfeit future salaries... but if they are injured playing football, the team is on the hook for their salaries until they are healthy...
If Tua is told by doctors that the risk is too great to keep playing... can the dolphins get out of that contract or not? The cause will be an on the field injury, but once tge concussion symptoms clear does that count as" being healthy" if the residual consequence of that injury causes him an inability to play anymore...
