Tomlin Gets His Man, CB B.W. Webb Claimed From Cowboys

Watching some highlights of this guy. He's ****'n terrible. Tomlin has lost a few screws.
Tomlin knows this guy very well and being the outstanding judge of talent that he is....snatched him right up.

Not only is Webb from William and Mary ( as Tomlin is ) but he has worked for Tomlin at his annual football camp. There is a history here and some say that he would have been picked instead of Terry Hawthorne if a few things had been different.

I'd be leery of any defensive player the cowgirls cut. They are horrible on defense.

You don't suppose that could be because they can't recognize or cultivate talent?

Just sayin'...

We need CB help.......good move......now lets go get Curtis Painter......

You can see what the Steelers saw in this kid in the draft. Came in for a visit, Cowboys grabbed him in the 4th. Could do worse for CB depth, seems like he may need more time.... special teams gunner in the meantime?

While he lacks height (5'10") and is on the small side (184 pounds), Webb is a dynamic athlete who tested well at the combine. His 4.51 40 yard dash is good, but his short-area quickness is elite. His short shuttle time of 3.84 was the best time for any player tested at the combine this year. Also his 40.5 inch vertical demonstrates he has explosiveness.

Not sure if this was his official time, but he ran a 4.34 at the combine. 1 man's trash is another man's treasure, James Harrison was cut from a training camp or 2 before someone realized his abilities. Hopefully this guy can show he has the same potential.

In school we had a guy who didn't play hardly his junior year.. He grew . His senior year he was 6'2" 215 lbs.. and ran a 4.7 forty time. (this is 1985).

The local paper referred to him as "blue chip prospect" . Guess what? He still couldn't play football.

I'd pick him up. Bell and Blount will likely miss time and I don't like having only Archer and Johnson back there. Give him a few weeks kick the tires in practice if he sticks with the team awesome.
Josey would make a fine addition, we're probably not the only ones who think so, will probably get snatched up in a jiffy.

Would prefer Mikel Leshoure who is 24 and gained almost 800 yards with the Lions in 2012

Wait, we ***** about the talent we currently have on the roster, they claim someone else and then we ***** about them

Truth is we could go 16-0 in regular season clean sweep the playoffs and get another lombardi and there would still be people on here bitching about the coaching staff or players. lol

I don't know why you feel this way. This place gave TONS of credit from 2004-10. Since then, not so much.

Do you see a correlation between recent team performance and Steeler Nation optimism? I sure do.

From April 2012:
It has not been a good couple of months for Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure. He has been cited twice for possession of marijuana (once in February and once in March), and news of this came out on Monday. Since the news broke, there has been a lot of talk about Leshoure and his future with the Lions, and there has also been a lot of misinformation about where things stand in the legal process.

We would be completing the trifecta....

TE/FB Orson Charles was waived today. I'm a Will Johnson fan, but Charles was an awesome receiver at Georgia. Versatile, quick, great hands.

If Webb can return punts he is an instant upgrade from Archer who is too scared and timid back there.
