Tomlin's last chance in my eyes...

I have both Ben and Luck in my FF team. I'm starting Luck.

Until the his shows us all that they can compete with better teams and win these important games..

I demand quality entertainment, not playing like hammered **** every other game for 3 ******* years.

The Ravens game is important, no doubt, first place team in our division. I just feel that game loses alot of its luster if we cant win this week. A loss this week and back to 4 and 4. With 8 games remaining we could probably only lose 2 more and finish at 10-6 to get in, maybe 3 to get int at 9-7, but I doubt it. This week's game is huge and would do wonders for this team's confidence. I think a win this week, gain some momentum and confidence, and we take care of business against Baltimore and its a whole new season with Jets and Titans coming up on the schedule.

Man, I like your optimism but I just can't share it. There are like 2 play makers on this defense and three on offense. Just not a very talented or well coached team right now. Luck might set records against this secondary. Guess we'll see.

I know the line is +3, but what was it for the Browns game? I could see Luck scoring a lot of points quickly. Not saying he will, but would it really surprise anyone at this point?

I'm surprised it's that low. Not trying to be a bashing prick but my reply above is how I feel.

then leave. if we're so pathetic, why hang around?

I'm sure Ben is heart broken he's sitting on your bench this week.

I wonder if Tomlin tried to look more studious or something out there people would give him more of a break.

Tomlin deserves criticism, no doubt. But I hate this **** about how he looks on the sideline. I loved Cowher, but what did all that sideline stuff really do, anyway? Chuck Noll never needed that.

It was Cowher's fire that let the players know where they stood

The absence of ANY fire from Tomlin is what makes me wonder if the players even know if they ****** up

If the team can not go on a major win streak with todays game they will be done. A loss to the colts and the Ravens would put them too far down to catch the ravens. Then the steelers will need to play the bengals twice who may be past their personnel issues when they face us. This looks like it could have the makings of a below 500 season. Also even if they began winning a few more games it is not likely that get a good enough record to make the wild card round I think there will likely be at least two other teams with a better win loss record than we have that are not division winners.

These next two games are very important and the 3 games lost already are really going to be huge when one looks back on the season.

very true the sideline look means nothing

I center on:

no half time adjustments
team slow out of the gates
stupid penalties
not knowing when to bench
when he does bench two plays later we see the player
not getting rid of plays that obviously do not work (or Haley for that matter)
putting a painful looking product out on the field which screams lack of preparation

I will give Tomlin his due, against losing teams he is .500 or less

he is do for a firing, hopefully sooner than later

With the Colts up today it made me reminisce of this post game interview and be a bit amazed as to how it could be very relevant to our team today. (In Tomins best BS post game voice).
“ What’s that? Ah — Playoffs? Don’t talk about — playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game! Another game. ”

Looking lost and confused does mean something, he does not need to look studious just like he has a clue. It always looks to me like he has no idea until later as to what went on and what he should be doing. With Noll and Cowher they both looked like they understood what was going on and were in control of what was going on. Best example I can think of was a kick off I think that one of the zebras hit Cowher's team with a penalty for too many men on the field. This was very close to the half and when the teams were on the way in Cowher chased the zebra down gave him hell and stuffed a print out of the field in his pocket. He knew what was going on and was able to react to it. Tomlin always seems like a kitten caught in a thunderstorm.

Tomlin isn't going anywhere. Colbert and Haley will get fired and lebeau will"retire" and tomlin will just keep standing on sidelines clapping.

Just throwing this out there, but the Carolina D was going to shred our OL and kill Ben. JJ Watt was going to have a field day and set NFL records for sacks in a game against our OL... I'm not going to guarantee a win or anything, but so far, the games we were supposed to get killed in are the games we've won. It's the games that we were supposed to destroy our opponents in that we've lost.

What's old is bad coaching, mediocre uninspiring play , bad game planning, no in game adjustments, poor game day coaching, bug eyed laconic stupidity from coach cool shades, underachieving and being 20-20 in our last 40 games

Do we really need ANOTHER THREAD about the negative feelings Coach Tomlin? Honestly, this schtick comes spewing out everyday, every week, every month, every year...

"Your critics are always right. The only way to shut them up is by winning." -- Chuck Noll

I never know what to expect from the Steelers. Seriously, I have no idea what they will do. Will they clamp down on Foster after he shreds their defense in the 1st quarter, and go on to explode for 24 points in 3 minutes? Will they put up 27 points in one perfect half of football? Will they obliterate the opposition's run defense in a road game on their way to a dominant victory?

Or will they fail completely in every aspect of the game, and get destroyed by an AFC foe? Will they disappear for 27 minutes and get dominated by the opposition, at home?

That lack of consistent effort and outcome is part of the reason Steelers fans criticize Tomlin. If his team has the talent to put up 27 points in a half, or run for 270 yards on the road, then it can play for 60 minutes and win more than it loses. Failing to do so is reason to criticize the boss.

He is directly responsible for the mediocre to poor product we have put on the field the last 3 years and he has no clue on ho to right the ship.

I just can't see any improvement under Tomlin's leadership. I doubt the Rooney's will let him go but they themselves have to watching these games closer after the last three years. Where do we have any development for the players drafted under this coach? Where is there any identity under Tomlin ? The only thing we get out of this head coach is what will be the next Tomlinism will be used at next press conference.

So I wonder if the OP of this thread is going to have any dignity and give props where it's due after a win here. Or just hang out in the pit with the rest of the ******* and find something to complain about.
