Tomlin’s Time to Shine……………

If he speaks like he did in press conferences he won't be great. I f he speaks like has in real interviews and when he was on Ben's show he will be great. The press conferences were a totally different animal. He didn't want to give the press and opponents anything.

Hard to say mad, once these guys get a taste of the easy TV gig it seems they don’t want to come back into coaching.

I don’t blame him for making a living and I actually hope he makes his way in his “life’s work”.

That's it. I feel the same exact way. I gave him shiit on this board non stop, and he deserved it. Now that he's gone I wish all the best for him as well. Seems like a decent man(if the affair rumors are bogus) but he was "obviously" a mediocre coach here.

I have heard these rumors and found not a single shred of real evidence of any of it. This town is infamous for nasty rumors. It basically ruined Kordell's career as he was not mature enough yet to handle the nastiness thrown his way from lies.
 
He has nothing viable I want to hear. He's a fraud of a coach and only got a chip because he was using Cowher's coaches & players. Once Tomlin hired his own coaches and players, he was an absolute wiff. he blew his chance in 2016 when the Jaguars whipped our ***** twice..once in the regular season and a repeat job in the playoffs. All at home.

Take it for what its worth, but my friend's sister who lives in Florida knows the woman, or so she says. They supposedly bonded over their pittsburgh roots...
the Kordell stuff started as the cops busting someone who looked similar and making a joke about it that got blown out of proportions.. that 100% was false, but there are lots of other rumors of unsavory steeler behavior that was kept under wraps well by the franchise... look how long it took for the AB stuff to break out.. and he had boatloads of it

He was really good at relating to and communicating with players. Doing something like Gruden does with QBs would be a good watch.

It would have to be a position other than QB, he’s proven he don’t know doodely-squat on that topic.


He knows a lot about football and I’d think he will be a game-day analysis type talking head.

Like it or not, he should succeed in that endeavor.

I’ve hit on some crazy props over the years. Mike Tomlin, failed talking head, isn’t on my bingo card.
 
The youngsters and football talkers will repeat everything he says to try and sound cool. Tomlinisms will fill the airwaves, podcasts, national broadcasts. Tomlintalk 24/7.

I’ve started my Pre-Tomlin talking head medication now so as when he actually gets on air, I’ll have built up full immunity.
