Let's see how many we can come up with

1 ) Hoodie went 11-5 without Brady who got hurt in game one. Matt Cassell played the rest of the season. * Thanks FNG mdl
2 ) Cowher went 10-6 with Tomzack after losing O'Donnell in free agency
3 ) Gibbs won the super bowl with Doug Williams ( replacing Schroeder in game one )
4 ) Parcells went 2-0 with when Simms when down, replaced by Hostetler. Then 3-0 with Hostetler in the playoffs, winning the super bowl

Proof that a top coaches can win games when disaster strikes at Quarterback.

Can Tomlin have a 10-6 type of season without Ben. Not a chance, though some think he's a great coach.

WOw those seem like some seriously cherry picked stats.

I said let's see how many we cam come up with. What dit the Eagles do when Wentz, who was looking like the NFL MVP went down? Oh they beat New England in the Superbowl. There more cherries to pick here. Good coaches can overcome losing their QB and have playoff seasons.

To make it crystal clear this thread is to show the people still on the fence or heavily in Tomlin's corner he's not close to a good coach, let alone a great one.

Belichick went 11-5 with Bledsoe out and Brady leading them to the AFC Championship game in 2003, beating the Steelers

You forgot?

There was tuck rule game against Raiders that season too

I don't think too many people on here need to be convinced. Besides, we can do nothing anyway. Get ahold of Rooney.

So much this.

At least post pictures then, JFC Berm.

oh wow....a Tomlin sucks thread....what a ******* surprise

This is a new type of thread as he’s always had Ben. You might want to participate in the game days threads and defend the poor coaching comments, that would be a hoot.

We're one and half games into the post-Ben season, we're going to make bold proclamations how Tomlin will fare without his franchise QB? Based on the body of work over an entire season? An entire season, that we're three games into?

Shades is a mediocre coach but he is still in the top five because almost everyone else is mediocre too. There is Belicheat and 31 jabronis who are far behind.
In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

It’s not just the QB. This team has won games because great players win their matchups. We’ve always just run the “my guys are better than your guys” offense. I can’t recall the last time we had a scheme where routes worked together to confuse or throw off defenders to get guys open in space. Or plays were called to set up other plays. Or we ran a lot of misdirection or kept the defense guessing. Nope. We’ve been able to win offensively by lining up and being better. Now we have young players at all the skill positions and our coaching staff has no answers. They are still running the “we’re better than you” offense, but we’re not better

How many more threads are needed with different variations of "Tomlin sucks?"

Let's just say that those of us who are frustrated with Tomlin's body of work ... well we don't blink.

Tomlin's record in games that Cowher's QB did not play in is 10-8. Passing yardage in those games dropped by over 100 yards on average, 320.1 to 215.3.

You may not blink, but you also have to realize the constant anti-Tomlin rhetoric simply becomes white noise after a while. It's so constant, so repetitive and so over the top, legitimate criticism of Tomlin and his staff gets drowned out.

Tomlin has become the boogieman for some of you. Behind each and every door there's Tomlin. Hiding behind every bush, there's Tomlin. The answer to every trivia question is Tomlin. The single source of human suffering throughout history, is Tomlin.

Just gets boring as ****. But carry on, by all means.

You seem to diminish his role as head coach and arbitrator of team decisions, policy, game preparation, player discipline, etc etc etc. That is equally mundane and frustrating as ****. You say things that appear to call him out but then go on to criticize people you deem are too hard on him. Wishy washy criticisms at best.

All I know is the bar was set pretty high in 04. Cowher/Ben went 16 and 1 losing the AFCCG to a team of cheaters. They also beat both of that year's SB teams in back to back blowouts. So as far as I am concerned, anything less is an utter failure. We're going into week 4 0 for 3 so guess what I'm feeling.
