As much as I like George I can't agree with him here. We do have good solid Americans worthy of office i do see handfuls of them in elected office. Term limits would absolutely help root out some of these people who couldn't run a lemonade stand. Our president has 2 terms and so should they. It's not that hard.

A lot of things if mandated by decent people can help prevent the deep rooted corruption and lust for power we see now.

Most decent people do not want to go through the immense nastiness in running for office. The tactics of a ever growing base of socialist loving idiots are old school commie pinko ****.

While Carlin was a damn funny guy he couldn't be more wrong.


I am telling you if we do nothing to change what is going on the change will.come in the way of bullets and bloodshed.

I'm all for term limits as well but I don't see the establishment even entertaining the idea. That said, it could be an awesome strategy to overwhelmingly win the House and Senate if the Republican party could organize enough incumbents and those running for office to sign a new "Agreement with America" that they would vote for Term Limits. They would need enough votes to make it an amendment so that would be one way to have an over-arching win because you know that a majority of Americans are sick of politicians and term limits would be an easy sell. If those Republicans who sign the agreement go back on their word, the party will be destroyed from outside and within so they have to stick to their word.

Term limits will only come from a convention of states.

Unfortunately, since most governors and states representatives look at Washington as their political "goal" (because, why not... look how rich and powerful you become....) then it is likely never to happen.

All we can do is to keep voting them out.

Unfortunately we all have this mindset that "our career politician" in "our state" is not the problem and we like him being so important, on great committees and looking out for us.

There should be federal laws against them having family members doing contract work like Nancy's husband who has made a fortune off of her being in the leadership. These people need to be termed out and not be able to capitalize on their Government jobs.

Also the Feds need to be shrunk down to size. I would get rid of many agencies that are not doing anything. Dept of Education and the dept of energy to start. There are many redundant agencies as well. It is estimated that $45-50 BILLION are wasted every year on redundant programs. It's stupid and needs to stop.

Despite everything, if you pay attention Nancy Pelosi actually gives away the ultimate goal in all of this.

With the delivery of the articles, (not with the voting of the articles, mind you.) the democrats will have initiated impeachment trials on just the 3rd President in the U.S. And her entire speech is about pointing out that the current administration's legacy will forever carry the stamp "impeached".

This has never been about a fair and reasonable process. No more than the Clinton impeachment in the 90's. This is nothing more than an elaborate publicity stunt with only one goal in mind. To erode voter confidence and give the democrats a CHANCE in the upcoming election.

It's an all or nothing strategy. It's taking a 3 at the half court line with 3 seconds left because you don't believe for a second you can get a guy opon on the post. Your best hope, your only hope is to throw up a prayer and hope it lands.

Senate Asks Pelosi If She Can Send Over Copy Of Impeachment Articles Without Wine Stains All Over It

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Mitch McConnell was happy to receive the impeachment articles today so that the Senate could get on with acquitting the president and we can all move on to something much more productive, like making Siri say funny things.

But McConnell was forced to ask the House to send over another copy of the articles after the one they received was covered with dark purple wine stains.

An embarrassed Pelosi came over to pick up the old ones and deliver a fresh copy. She smelled the stains and confirmed they were a "delicious 1982 vintage -- very good year." A concerned aide tugged the paper out of her hand as she began to nibble at the corner.

Unfortunately, the new copy was covered in bourbon.
