85.0 career passer rating, 88.5 last year
yeah. wait for KPs pay day. it will reset the QB market. probs 1st 100M per year guy.Definitely a lot of money, but not surprising.
The cap keeps going up, thus the big contracts keep going up.
Look at just a few short years ago Mahomes/ contract was astronomical, and today it’s not even in the top 5 anymore.
Lawrence seems over-paid until you look at the Watson contract (Paid for what they are getting)
Salute the nation
But mahomes was astronomical if you sum up all the years. It wasn't That expensive per yearDefinitely a lot of money, but not surprising.

The Browns are idiots. A total win/win for Watson. Kudos to his agent for sure. Capitalize on fools.Definitely a lot of money, but not surprising.

I’m thinking if I was an NFL owner, instead of spending $275k on a QB, I spend it on premier OLs, CBs and Edge and go with the best run offense and best pass defense in he league.some big mullah (sp) there. Were you thinking he wasn’t worth a resign?
The issue is that Lawerance hasn't ever proven he can elevate a team. Paying 20% of cap to a guy means he has to make up for talent you cant afford to get elsewhere.. dude is a turnover machine... they still had a season after this of control...Definitely a lot of money, but not surprising.

The titans kind of tried that... you still need at least an above average QB in this era...I’m thinking if I was an NFL owner, instead of spending $275k on a QB, I spend it on premier OLs, CBs and Edge and go with the best run offense and best pass defense in he league.
He LEADS THE LEAGUE IN TURNOVERS in the span of his career #1 most turnovers. And yet comes nowhere near in leading the league in TDs or yards in that same span. You tell me. Figure it out.some big mullah (sp) there. Were you thinking he wasn’t worth a resign?

It neve used to be that way. Lawrence should be getting around QB10 money, IMO.Good gosh these teams are getting stupider by the second... every ok qb shouldn't be setting contract records... its different with a Ben or Mahomes level guy... if the guy cant drive offense with lesser talent around him He isnt worth top end qb money
The ONLY way this deal makes sense is if all of a sudden Trevor ends up BALLING OUT to the level everyone thought he would when he was drafted. This just in: He's come nowhere close to it so far, after 3 years: 58 TDs, 39 ints, and you can only excuse his poor play for his rookie season, the year he was saddled with Urban Crier. He had Pedersen the following 2 seasons, a SB-winning coach known to be overly QB friendly (He made Foles into a SB-winning QB going against Tom Freakin Brady). The issue is that Lawerance hasn't ever proven he can elevate a team. We are in the middle of a period of time where the cap is going up 20 million per season due to new revenue adds, but that isnt guaranteed in perpetuity... during this contract, the cap should average a bit north of 320 million so this contract likely is 17% of their cap space...
If he actually breaks through and becomes a franchise guy, this is a slight deal.. if he stays where he is at, they are overpaying him by like 15 to 20 million per season... thats a cap killer
Think Ben... they gave him a new deal in 08... he won the super bowl that year then went back in 10... on his third contract he made an afc cg
Flacco got his deal and they won one more playoff game with him and missed the playoffs every year but one after that...
Ben could play with a subpar line and make average wrs look really good...and win...
Flacco could win with a star studded lineup... anything less and he was just an above average guy...
Again, Who's everyone?I've been "suspicious" of Lawrence's play all along, not seeing the "greatness" that everyone was talking about. But then last year, it became obvious, that this guy is NOT gonna be one of the greatest ever; he's not even likely to be the greatest in his era. He's more likely to be the most "average" of his era. Not quite the "one in a generation" the talking heads had been caterwauling about his entire career.
"Who's everyone?" I have to spell that out to you as well?Again, Who's everyone?
Oh and **** Tom Brady
it took me a fraction of a second to know you are a tilted twatwaffle. What fraction? You tell me. Figure it out.He LEADS THE LEAGUE IN TURNOVERS in the span of his career #1 most turnovers. And yet comes nowhere near in leading the league in TDs or yards in that same span. You tell me. Figure it out.
Now you are making yourself look dumb"Who's everyone?" I have to spell that out to you as well?
