Im not sure what you mean..How is Ukraine keeping Americans safe? I think if anything having troops over there and what not puts more Americans in harms way than if we just stayed out of it. I do not think Russia is a threat to the US and if Russia decided to use nukes I dont think Ukraine is going to stop them.

I very rarely post political stuff on inyourfacebook. I posted one the other day about cutting money to (essentially) Hamas. A great coworker of mine (I really love and respect this guy) commented how it was wrong, and on and on. You know where he was going. Strange. Dude is very intelligent, but a committed lib, therefore a dem. I thin in Wyoming, he just wants to be different.
It's possible to create custom Friends groups on Facistbook. I created a group called "Political" and add my like-minded Friends to it.
Click on the Friend's name, then in the box where it says Friend, click on it, you will get a drop-down, click Edit Friend List and check on the group you want to add them to. Then when you post click the drop-down for Audience and select which group you want to see it. Not that I want to be in an echo chamber and I don't mind pissing off Liberals but I just don't have time to argue with people all day.
One of the default groups they give you is Acquaintances and I put people I don't know that well or interact with very much in that group and my default setting for posts is Friends except Acquaintances.
So basically not everyone sees everything I post, except for Supe, Coryea, and DBS.
It sounds more complicated than it is.

I was guilty of this in my late teens/early 20s.
Defended "my side" no matter what and chastised the "other side" at all costs.
Maturity and wisdom over the years has taught me you have to clean up your own backyard before you knock on your neighbor's door.
Wrong is wrong and turds are turds.
It doesn't matter what sex, color, race, religious belief, or letter goes behind their name.
EVERYONE needs to be held accountable by the same standards.
And if you defend Politician X for one thing, you have to be willing to prosecute them with the same fervor.
