Trump Cabinet Selections

DeWine is a RINO and would just as likely pick a Democrat to **** things up. I'd rather Ramiswamy was like Secretary of Commerce.
I would prefer he get some position that makes him the consensus shoe-in choice for the next VP position. Republicans have a chance for complete control over the next 20 years if played correctly. Question is, are they smart enough to see this? Or at least willing to curtail their corruption and side line all RHINO’s from any position of influence?

They should stick to accomplishing a couple things at any one time.
1. Eliminate the Federal Income Tax ON THE FIRST $100,000 of ANY INCOME, per person, and replace with massive tariffs on China and any other NON-ALLIED countries. Use tariffs against ALLIED countries to force them to be responsible for their own defense and allow for fair trade.
2. Make a VERY PUBLIC statement of non-intervention in the whole abortion issue, then completely move away from any further discussion or responding to questions about it.
3. Return 50-75% of Military forces stationed in ALL FOREIGN countries that are not willing to pay for deployment of these forces. Reintegrate these forces with Stateside forces, then deploy them to all border locations for security, with authorization to use deadly force to prevent illegal border crossings.

Start with these 3 issues, don’t allow themselves to be distracted by ANYTHING.

While I'm not convinced that Hegseth is qualified to lead the department of defense, I believe he is the perfect candidate for the position. He is not one of these Generals or former Generals that has been corrupted by DC politics. He is very well educated and has served in leadership positions outside of government. I also like that he is young.

One of the biggest challenges he is going to have is that his service ended over 10 years ago. I cannot describe for you how much the military has changed in that time period. Soldiers are different, leaders are different, and the climate in the military has definitely changed. A lot. Hope he works out. I'll be pulling for him, as he will be in my chain of command.

The big challenge will be keeping the Pubbies in the House and Senate voting together to get stuff done. The Dems never have a problem keeping everyone on the reservation but the Pubbies do.

Sarge..appreciate you for helping to ease my concerns with this appointment by the president.

The young man certainly is in for a real eye opener and has a tremendous task in front of him. Biggest one of his life, I dare to say..

He will be challenged by current military leadership, the media, and the opposing party every step of the way.

This appointee will be scrutinized more than any other of Trumps choices, including Elon Musk.

That's because a bunch Dims ran as republicans to infiltrate the party.

Or as I've said for years, there are Big Government Republicans too. The Bushes, the Cheneys, Haley, etc.
Hopefully Trump can make their minds right with his legendary powers of persuasion and explain that they can either get on the Trump Train or get run over by it.

Man, the Freedom Caucus is already talking about challenging Mike Johnson's speakership. Why? There are bigger fish to fry. This is why Republicans fail at governing. Rather than taking this opportunity to get most of what you want, they will bicker and squabble and accomplish nothing. Seen this movie before.

All I'm going to say is this. Against my better judgement, I voted straight Republican this year. They mess up this opportunity and derail Trump's presidency and I will not vote for another Republican as long as I live. I will vote third party, write in or just not vote. This is the kind of crap I was talking about with Republicans. Can't get out of their own (or our) way.

Whereas the dems go into private, get threatened by Pelosi, and fall in line or lose out. I prefer the integrity of arguing in public to her dictatorship.

Fair enough, but it is a bad look. How many votes did it take to get Johnson? Everybody wants their own little thing, and it never ends well. Makes them look incompetent. Maybe they are.

I mean look at the stunt they are pulling in the Senate. Two guys that are going to stonewall Trump's plans at nearly every turn. Just doesn't make much sense.
