Here's where I think things are going to change. Bush took it. He was all class and a gentleman. Republicans didn't fight the backlash.
Trump will fight them at the microphone, finger pointed. Trump will retaliate in the media. Right or wrong, he's going to take that corrupt machine head on. And we will follow. And it will grow. Eventually the MSM will have to change or be replaced by ever-growing competitors.
