So, the Mayfield experiment in Cleveland may be ending soon. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows. On the Tua side, trade talks for Deshawn are hot but it looks like, at least based on what Miami is offering, Houston has little interest in Tua but extra picks (hence necessitating the entrance of a third NBA style trade partner). I am not advocating either in this post. But, if you could have one or the other which would you take and what would you give up? If neither, why? Just trying to spur a little chat about QB options going forward.

Well both are damaged, but i would still take Mayfield

When mayfield is healthy he can put you in a winning opportunity.
Tua seems to be struggling at the nfl level

Neither. Baker would command too much money with just a mediocre return and Tua is just a small, soft dude that is getting beat up worse each game.

Funny but Tua is actually 3/8" taller and 2 lbs heavier than Baker....... Maybe Baker Tom Cruise's his way through life ....... only high angle video and platform cleats

I’d rather roll with Rudy than either of those two, even though he’s only the 2nd best of the three.

Mayfield reminds me of Doug Flutie in both stature and playing style.

He'll win you some games but never win you a championship.

If I was forced to choose one of the two, I'd still pick Mayfield.

The intensity of the force would factor into whom to pick.

I believe the proper saying is you would take a 5th of vodka

It would take a 5th for me even to consider either. Keenum woild be the best by far.

Haven't seen much of Tua and he's been injured constantly since entering the league. I watched Mayfield a lot in college and now that he is with the Clowns. I would have no problem with him as our QB. I wouldn't pay him like Mahomes, Allen or what Lamar is going to get. He is a tier down from them. He is a very good leader. He has a good arm and accuracy. He is much better than what we have. He is well above average. Is he a "franchise QB"? Maybe, maybe not. He can win games. He can manage games. He is mobile enough. For the right price, I'd have no problem taking him. He is probably better than any QB we had in the 2 decades between Bradshaw and Ben. And, we could easily win a SB with him back there with the right pieces around him and a good D.

No question - I'm picking Tua but...

If Jalen Hurts is on the market - he's the future, IF I were a decision-maker...

Baker looks like he is more athletic, I guess. Tua just seems to be so unmuscular and thin of frame. Neither would be worth what they might be getting, imho.

These two are not franchise QBs and imo have zero potential of ever achieving that status. I never liked either one coming out of college and felt like they were drafted much to high.
I draft my QB in the 2022 draft and if he’s there I select Kenny Picket with my first pick. Let him play behind Mason for a year, add quality players around him and get him ready for his second year. But that’s me!

From what I understand, things in Seattle aren’t very rosey between Russell Wilson and the Shithawks. There’s an internet rumor that they make seek a trade for him…just a rumor, I would knock on their door to see what they would consider taking for RW. I would take him over A-Aron, Mayfield and Tua. That’s just a pipedream though

so how much would you give on a trade?

oh but that would definitely require a high first and then some more valuable assets, probably two firsts and change
