Begins today, They combined the USFL and XFL. I don't think the Flint Tropics made the cut. Here's some notable players or coaches. Maybe we should look for a decent Center.

USFL Conference

Birmingham Stallions
QB Matt Corral, WR Deon Cain, DE Taco Charlton, NT Carlos Davis

Houston Roughnecks
LB Reuben Foster,

Memphis Showboats
Def Coordinator Carnell Lake,

Michigan Panthers
QB Danny Etling,

XFL Conference

Arlington Renegades
HC Bob Stoops, DE Vic Beasley,

D.C. Defenders
CB Gareon Conley, WR Keke Coutee, Saf DJ Swearinger, RB Pooka Williams

San Antonio Brahmas
HC Wade Phillips, RB John Lovett, RB Anthony McFarland,

St. Louis Battlehawks
OC Bruce Gradkowski, WR Hakeem Butler, DE Travis Feeney, QB AJ McCarron,

People used to like to look at pictures of McCartons wife. She was a looker.

I had read that about Carnell Lake being a DC, start somewhere and work your way up.

I’d think he is a pretty good DC at this level .

Yep, Carmel Lake, Wade Phillips, Bob Stoops. Pretty good coaches I’ll say.

I can't believe Stoops and Phillips are coaching this and in my opinion McFarland is an NFL talent.

I watched most of Michigan St. Louis. All I know is the CFL is way better than this junk and and would whale on these dudes

McFarland has NEVER shown anything as an NFL player - other than play for MD and be chosen by Shades. Other than that? What? Never showed anything I saw. Tomlin will draft almost anyone from MD. He's that dense.

when was Mcfarland supposed to show something? He was 3rd string behind Connor and Snell as a rookie in 2020. He got 33 caries on the season. He then got 9 total carries in the next 3 seasons. That's it. Steelers gave him 42 carries in 4 seasons. He had some injuries but even when available, they never gave him a shot.

Meanwhile they were busy giving Benny Snell 275 carries for 3.6 yards per carry.

I'm not surprised to see former big time coaches have interest in this league. If you still love coaching but don't want all the pressure and hours of coaching college or NFL, then the UFL is perfect. It's more actual coaching (IE teaching), and it's a short term commitment.

You don't have to worry about free agents, draft, recruiting, high priced divas, boosters, media pressure, etc. You get the enjoyment of the game without all the negatives and you put a few bucks in your pocket so the wife can start buying name brand ketchup again.

McFarland never showed ANYTHING from the touches he did get, even Benny showed more potential. McFarland tackled himself most plays I saw.

I wonder what the Arlington Renegades fourth quarter fight song will be.

Lyrics

Catch the play now, eye to eye
Don't let chances pass you by
Always someone at your back
Biding their time for attack
Check for decoys, stay sharp-edged
Double-crossers, get your head
Carpetbaggers, bluff and strike
Kiss of Judas, spider-like
Waiting like jackals to sneak up and trick you
Wolves in sheep's clothing, so deft in consoling
Lurking in shadows, they pounce least expected
When you come to, they'll have gone right through you
Tricksters guilters playing their game
Sleight-of-handers, all the same
Masquerader in his lair
Wants to tangle in your hair
