"Upon further review"... Brown's left foot was in

and yet the refs overturned what was simply not enough evidence to overturn call

winning

Looked in but these ******* guys:confused:...how old is Walt Coleman for god's sake?

They ruled a TD and there wasn't enough evidence to show that he was truly out. So it should have stayed a TD. But that's this league, garbage officiating and a broken replay system.

I wonder how much he will be fined?

What's the worst thing that could happen if they did away with replay that isn't already happening now anyway? What's the point?

Also, why was the clock stopped at the 2:13 mark for Houston when foster never made it out of bounds??? And if it was deemed he made it out, why was Houston allowed to run up to the line going no huddle? If there's a stoppage in play, don't the teams have to huddle up? Or am I making something up lol

I was wondering the same thing !!

******* Refs! How do you overturn a TD that YOU called on ******* fictional proof?..... time to send Hollywood Fags out of my view..you're an annoying prick.

I understand it was close BUT the rules simply state if you do not have enough visual evidence to overturn a call the ruling on the field stands. There obviously wasn't enough evidence to overturn it so I just don't see how these refs can't be punished. I am so sick of refs getting off the hook for being bad at their craft. The NFL is by far the worst officiated league in all of professional and amatuer sports.

Every sporting league has one thing in common - the fans all cry about how bad the refs are.

Not to this level. How many games a year do hockey fans complain about a bad call? 1? 2? MAYBE. Same with baseball there's a couple of crappy calls which are usually corrected with replay. But the NFL you can't go a game, no you can't go a quarter without a bad call. That is absurd.

You're ******* ignorant.

No, I just recognize the Steelers do indeed commit real, honest-to-God infractions that sometimes get called (except for Big Dummy - he can never do any wrong). I also recognize that referees are in fact human, and make mistakes from time to time. Neither of these is evidence of some nefarious plot or an excuse for losing, nor is it worth crying about for hours on end, especially from a game they did indeed win.

This **** might have flown back in the days of black and white tv, but today we have high def cameras, and loads of angles. Frick and frack were going on and on in the booth about ******* divots, well, you can divot a hunk of grass without your shoe touching it, for ***** sake. If I take my cleat, and shove it into the grass, then slide that ****** the whole way to the sideline, there is going to be some grass torn up in front of that shoe. Ever watch a bulldozer? Its not ******* rocket science, additionally, if he put his foot down IN bounds, and it SLID out, he's still IN BOUNDS, it's the same as dragging a toe.

I don't expect perfection, competence would be nice though. I get where some would not understand.

Joe

It all hinged on the divot. Part of the green turf that likely stuck to Browns cleats dropped on the white paint so in the officials mind his foot was out of bounds? WTF?

I still say they should take freeze frame out of replay. show the lead guy every replay once in slow motion, if he cannot make a decision definitively to overturn, the call on the field stands

Why not do away with it all together. When stuff like this happens, what is instant replay accomplishing?

Well we did benefit from replay too on the fumble. No system is perfect as long as people are part of it.

There was not enough evidence to overturn the call - not close. The standard is "indisputable" evidence.

The replay call should have been, "the call on the field stands." It may not have been confirmed but there clearly was not sufficient evidence to reverse.

The replay system works so much better in college football. The officials don't make leaps and assumptions. If the video doesn't show clear evidence, the call on the field stands. Every week they pull this same bullshit in the NFL.

Are we sure this image is Brown and not Bell in the end zone? Look how much thicker around the middle this player is. I watched the game and the replays on TV showed Brown much closer to the line than this. It would not surprise me if someone was not tossing out a bogus image just to get more fantasy points or to be a **** stirrer.

Just wondering if some one out there has a way of posting some more images of this as well as the Brown images used on the screens from the game. I would think that this image could be located to show the number of the player in question.
