Vrabel on Steeler D

Seems like he's worried about apple turnovers...

But what do I know???

Less than Lunar and that’s not saying much…………….. or is it the other way around…..?????

I’ll have to ask Coolie for clarification.!

“Defensively, if you don’t take care of the edges, it’s going to be an issue. Strip sacks, interceptions,” Vrabel said.

Wouldn’t that be “offensively”?

It’s the OL that has to take care of the edges to protect his QB.

He knows exactly how to beat this defense…

He’s played on it, he’s played against it under a very good defensive minded head coach, and also has coached against them himself..

Look for New England to take advantage of our aggressiveness, especially from the outside rush with short quick passing routes to the backs and tight ends, and sprint delay handoffs to the running backs..

He said it in an interview with a side line lady broadcaster, and was distracted.

What did many say about the game, when the Cheatriots were at their peak of cheating……………

You still have to play the game, you win your battles.

Not sure we will be out coached as in the past, our current guy knows how to play chess…..

I hear you but not really…

New D coordinator but basically same 3-4 defense that relies on pressure from edges to be successful..
Agreed on edge. Would hope so with ad much $$$ is tied up. But everything else looks different

Imo…
Back end played a lot of zone with next to none man coverage..
That was difference to me..
barely blitzed but still got pressure. CBs played closer to the WR. They actually played against the opponents strengths . they rotated way way more than normal. heck the starting def was not gassed at the end of game

The rotation and the rotated in player(s) seem to be higher depth than previous coaching staff's.

Also more rotation was used on a coach determination, not left up to players discrepancy (TJ a good example of being rested)
