wasting away................................. for one man's legacy !

That said. That probably was one of my biggest disappointments....when we didn't even get a 1st down on that last drive.

You and SteveO have bad memories. Big Ben’s first play on that last drive was a 15 yarder to Heath. Resulting in obviously a first down. Next play was a 5 yard pass to Hines. I was fully confident that Ben was going to lead them down the field for glory. The next 3 passes seemed to happen in mere seconds, and it was over in an instant. Easily the most disappointing drive for me in all the games I’ve watched as a Steeler fan.

I would like to be included in the bad memory listing. I would tell you specific incidents but I can’t recall what they were related to.

Ben could've & would've changed where he ranks All-Time if he comes back & wins that game...He'd be top 15...He's probably about top 20-25 All-time

You are correct. Had to rewatch the last drive and sure enough Heath caught a pass to start the drive.

There was no doubt in my mind that Ben was going to drive us down the field to make it interesting. I was like a slap in the face when it didn't happen.

Steelmann corrected me on the last drive. Ben hit Heath for a 1st down pass to start off the drive. Then it all went down hill afterwards.

There are a lot of Mexicans that are Steeler fans. I believe Cowboys and Steelers 1 and 2 from what I had read some time ago.
Coolie would feel right at home.

Coolie is a Mick, as Irish as they come, he's probably peeling potatoes as we speak.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a significant and growing fan base in Mexico. In fact, one study estimated that over 840,000 Facebook followers of the Steelers in 2017 were from Mexico, making them the team with the largest Mexican following. The team actively engages with these fans through events like watch parties, the Steelers Fan Camp, and by offering Spanish-language content.

I read an article today naming the Ravens as division winners.

I also saw that the same article picked Denver to win that division. I don;t see this as a big surprise, Kansas City is fading. If the league takes away the favoritism and makes them play straight up,…….. Denver could easily take that division.

I'm gonna push back on this....Coaches coach & Players play...Ben should of won 3 rings...

In the Super Bowl against Green Bay The Steelers AND Big Ben were down 6 with 2:12 left 4 minutes after the Mendenhall fumble...Ben didn't get it done, didn't even get a first down...Ben's was the QB. he had a chance to win & did not...That is not on Tomlin...Ben could have 3 rings with one more drive...

With 3 rings BB would be looked at so differently...That is on Ben not Coach Tomlin...I know everyone wants to blame Mikey, but guess what boyz? Tomlin never threw a pass...

Ben underachieved because he was so ******* talented and didn't work on his craft...

Ben Roethlisberger was THE SHAQUILLE O"NEILL of the NFL

So talented, naturally bigger & stronger than everyone else, & lazy AF
Mendenhall blew it, Clark could never cover, Rodgers clowned him and the rest of the defense. End of story.
Ben is the only reason Pittsburgh won 2. Remember the shoestring tackle after the Bus coughed it up in indy?
The heroic winning drive with Holmes under all the pressure in the world?
Ben bailed us out, not the coaches.

2010 starting Oline Scott, Kemo, Legursky, Foster, Adams
2008 starting Oline Starks, Kemo, Hartwig, Stapleton, Colon

LOL, we had no business even being there, those Olines suck.

So when they win, Tomlin gets no credit since he never threw a pass?

Am I doing it right?

And drinking.
I wonder if he also thinks wearing his kilt makes him look tough.

I'm pretty sure he thinks it makes him look cute.

His kilt allows him to have a FULL diaper load before he has to change……………………. Logistics & economics…….

I can agree with most of that.
Everyone remembers Mendy’s fumble but forgot:

One of those throws Roethlisberger likely would love to have back was an overthrow to a wide-open Wallace on first-and-10 from the Green Bay 44-yard line midway through the third quarter.
The play could have easily gone for a touchdown.

And forgot:

Roethlisberger was picked off again on a subsequent throw for Wallace into double-coverage in the second quarter, this time by Jarrett Bush. The Packers turned that turnover at the Green Bay 47-yard line into a touchdown that bloated their lead to 21-3.

Ben had also thrown a pick six earlier as a result of him being hit as he released the ball, so we can’t blame him for that….except that if it was Rudolph then it would be because of his poor pocket awareness!

And the playoff loss to the Clowns. Holy mother of mercy.

I’ve never regarded Ben as being among the all time elite QB’s.
Elite can be a relative term.
Compared to the garbage QB’s we were accustomed to for all those years, yes, Ben was elite by Steeler standards.

8th most TD passes, 5th most wins, 5th all-time in passing yards, a higher career completion% than Brady, 2 SB wins, youngest QB ever to win a Super Bowl.

It's ok to say he's elite, he's a 1st ballot HOF'er. Brady lost multiple Super Bowls, Manning lost multiple Super Bowls.
