Hi guys,

I'm going to repost to this link, each and every week USTVNow shows a Steeler game. Click this link ustvnow.com and sign up for a free account. You also get a free DVR that record up to 5 shows and holds them for 2 weeks. This works out great to watch the Steelers games a couple times to break down the plays and assignments. Sign up with my link and I get more DVR space to break down more game action! http://watch.ustvnow.com/refu/2cHvqD5CmK9WYqz4PCpxs3VMT62p

I've been doing this for 4 years, so guys, get on this. It's free and it's legal, and you can stop complaining about not finding the game, or dealing with spam sites with illegal streams. The local channels are actually Harrisburg, PA stations, so they are the Ravens affiliate, but they ALWAYS show the Steelers when the Ravens aren't playing at the same time. They also show a lot of Eagles games.

This week, they will be showing the Steelers preseason game vs Atlanta starting at 4pm on CBS. I already have my DVR set!

I think I see more games here in TN than I could back home in Harrisburg. Thankfully hunting camp is up near State College and I don't have to worry about that ratbird ****. I signed up under your link last year and did get to watch a couple games. Thank you.

Signed up and ready to go, Cope.

Here is my question - I get CBS, Fox, etc. but how does that get me Steelers games?? Do I get the Pittsburgh feed somehow?

Ahh, I see. It is linked to a Pittsburgh feed. Nice.

So I get regular season games it looks like. I LIKE it.

It is the Harrisburg feed (that is the only feed they have), and Ravens get priority. When the Ravens are playing on the same channel at the same time, the Steelers get shown.

I live in Hershey so....I already get the Harrisburg feed. As long as the Eagles isn't playing an AFC team or the rat birds aren't playing in the same time slot as the Steelers we get to see the games. This would be pretty kick *** for you out of Staters.

I checked it out. Obviously I live here so I probably won't use it much for that. But I like the idea of being able to put something on, when olgirl is watching some female drama **** on the TV in the same room.

Harrisburg is a Ravens priority? The capital? Wow!

yea, it drives me nuts too. Baltimore was squeezed into a very small localized region. They're squeezed between DC and the ocean. For marketing, the Ravens can't market in the DC area, and DC has all of the marketing rights south and west. Ravens only major cities they could expand to were Annapolis, the ocean (Eastern Shore) and Harrisburg (which is an hour and 20min from Balt).

Wilmington was also the same time away from Balt, but the Jets/Eagles already market there.

I got some questions from Steelers and wanted to share with this thread, since they are questions some of you may have:

tell me more. I am from Idaho falls, idaho will it work here? also the free plan says limited dvr explain more about this I no what dvr is but is it free to. your do you have to get friends to sign up? I went and got ustvnow on my Roku but for it to work I have to set up account with ustvnow. to get the channels. so if you can explain more about this and explain as simple as you can so I can understand better. thanks have a great day.

You have to sign up online. It's an online account available anywhere you have internet access. I have USTVNow linked to my Kodi on my Amazon Fire box, but you need to sign up online for a free account, to put your login information into the USTVNow app for it to work on your devices.

You can also watch it from your browser on your computer. The DVR for a free account, allows you to record 5 shows. An entire football game counts as 1 show. You can watch it for 2 weeks, and after 2 weeks, the shows auto delete. The DVR saves your shows on the computer and your devices to watch on either.

You don't need a friend to sign up, but it helps out with my DVR to be able to record more shows. I'm not sure if you gain a bump as well, please let me know if you can record more than 5 if you sign up using my link.

I got a couple more questions Cope, if ya don't mind. I live in the sticks, so it takes me about 45 min to get to the closest bar to watch a game.

That said, would I be able to tell in advance whether the game will be streamed on USTVNow or is it a real time thing ?
( Maybe use this ? http://506sports.com/nfl.php?wk=7 )

Are the games streamed in real time or are they delayed ?

Thanks for sharing this with us Cope

Week 8 : Ravens Thursday night NBC, Steelers Sunday night NBC
Week 9 : Steelers BYE
Week 10 : Ravens BYE, Steelers 1pm Sunday CBS
Week 11 : Steelers Thursday night NBC, Ravens 1pm Sunday CBS
Week 12 : Steelers Sunday night NBC, Ravens Monday night ESPN
Week 13 : Ravens 1pm Sunday FOX, Steelers Monday night ESPN

Week 15 : Ravens 1pm Sunday CBS, Steelers 4pm Sunday CBS
Week 16 : Ravens Saturday 4pm NFL Network, Steelers Monday 4pm NBC
Week 17 : Both Steelers and Ravens play at 1:00pm on Sunday on CBS

So Cope, how does it work when both teams play at 1:00pm on Sunday but on different networks ( CBS vs Fox ) like in week 2?
Do they broadcast both CBS and Fox separately on this site/app?

Questions:

1. GF has mimimum cable like 12 channels and she has cable internet. She is in Ohio. Will this work for her? Do they send a DVR? Does she need a smart Tv? She currently has a regular TV. (not smart) but has a dvr/TiVo box from cable company.

2. I sign up online,, how do I get it on my TV? I have a smart tv.. well kinda , Idk I see I can click on Netflix and hulu.. but I have cable. I want to get rid of my $124 / mo cable bill.

Cope - kudos for the link. Already set it up on my ROKU and it worked great - even looked like HD. I have to wonder if the NFL will crack down in the regular season, though. They probably don't care much about pre-season. Were you able to see the games in the regular season?

Yes, they have a TV guide like schedule you can browse the Wednesday before the game.

Thanks a million Cope, greatly appreciated !!!!! I have been here before and think it is great. Can't answer much for questions other than I liked it a lot. I do have a special sports bar I go to (16+years) as the treat me like royalty (small town). Thanks again Cope.

You also need to check for Fox games, if the Eagles are playing at the same time. Usually conflicts go to the eagles. All channels are broadcast separately, you choose the channel to watch.

EDIT: though sometimes, Harrisburg does votes and lets the area vote between watching Pit or PHL. Pit usually wins votes, but they don't always do votes. Just check the online channel guide for USTVNow.com on Wed/Thu before the game to see what game they are broadcasting.

1. This is all computer based. You can watch from your browser. If you have internet, you have a feed.

2. Easiest way to hook to your TV is HDMI cable from your computer to your TV. Second is with a smart box (Amazon Fire box, Roku) and download the app. Use your login and watch on your device.

With a Smart TV, you should be able to use your browser and log in to USTVNow.com and watch from there. I just hate Smart TV interfaces. they are soooooo slow...

Yes, I've watched regular season game for the past 4 years. It's a loophole, and the NFL doesn't want to kill this yet, because USTVNow is used internationally for the troops.

Thanks, Cope. I'll sign up under your link.
Much obliged.

Steelers, I got a bounce back, you have to delete some of your PMs to receive messages. I'll post the answer here:

I forgot to ask you a question in the frequent asked questions it says after forty five days that you will be able to watch channels on your computer only. and not on your Roku. if I want to continue watching on my Roku I have to go to a paying package. the date on the frequent asked questions was dated back in 2012 not 2017. so is it true about the 45 days? thanks have a great day.

I've never heard of that rule. I watch on my Amazon Fire box via KODI, and I'm in my 3rd year doing it. I'm not sure how the App would kill your ability to use it though. You can still install KODI on your Roku and grab the app for it through Kodi if you want to bypass that rule, if it actually starts happening.

thanks for your help cope. where do you get kodi for the Roku? on the web sight of ustvnow under the frequently asked questions here is what it said { is this really free ?]. September 10, 2012 11:32

Our free plan includes all major terrestrial stations that as an American citizen or resident you would normally be able to receive for free (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, PBS, My9). For 45 days you will be able to enjoy the free service in hi resolution using your computer or our optimized interfaces for the iPad, iPhone, Android and Roku. After 45 days on our free plan, you will be able to watch only on your computer and it will be in low resolution. To restore all features, you need upgrade to a paid plan, which includes not only the networks mentioned above but also the top cable TV channels. so if you could tell me more about kodi for my Roku I would be grateful. I am not the smartest cookie when it comes to computers. thanks have a great day.

I don't have a Roku, so I don't know the process for downloading apps.

I now understand the context of the question. You will not lose the ability to watch ustvnow on your Roku, ever. Just after 45 days, it stops being HD. It's never bothered me, but some people have to have HD. To get around it, I assume you could set up a different account and login every 45 days.
