Watt a night

All i want is another 05 miracle run to the super bowl I figure its worth wishing for huh?

You may look at it as a miracle, I look at it as destiny. That team was stacked and battle hardened. ALL GOOD

Salute the nation

that is a hard group to crack

so many guys off thSalute e 70s team would have to be considered - Mean Joe, Ham and Lambert, Snell, Blount, White, Holmes Greenwood

then Rod and Troy would be serious contenders

as much as he pissed me off....James Harrison is at least mentioned

but yeah, if TJ can stay healthy he is at least on the level with Rod and Troy

yeah I know I left a few others out....but I'm drunk

For a second there I though you were talking Benny & Lagarret.......................................................................

Then reality set in as I knew you couldn't be that ******* dumb.............. (disclaier: Have to give it when I can)

Salute the nation

A-N-D

PS

No heart attach feeling in this game, I had confidence all the way to the end

Last night, I was proud to be a Steeler fan. There were glimpses of Blitzburgh. It was a typical ugly Steeler win with enough flash to be proud of their grit. Watt is a man among boys out there. Najee showed some burst and Ben did just enough to make all of us happy. Great night!

Oh, Watt a night
Monday Night in the Steel City,
What a very special time for me,
As I'll remember, Watt a night.

Oh, Watt a night,
You know how much I hate the Stains,
And I'm always gonna be the same,
What a player, Watt a night.

Witherspoon should get a contract to be a starter next season
Agree. I think I posted that a couple of times in the game thread. Give him an offseason in our program and he should be even better next year. I think Leglue earned a spot on the roster as a backup if nothing else. Adams as well. Get rid of Buggs and keep Adams at NT unless we draft someone. And, Loudermilk has continually improved all year. He very well might be a starter next year.

All I know is that television was set back decades, IMHO I ended up turning the sound off and covering the left side of the screen with a bath towel. Thankfully I had taped the delay broadcast on the NFL Channel and could skip through the nonsensical chatter from da has been brothers, Snoop, Roger, Roger and commercials. Not a great game experience for me, at least they won.... and played decent doin' it.

I was shocked to see the reviews had a lot of positive comments. Where is Ford....I know he's gonna call me a 'Boomer' again....lol

Boomer. ;)

Don’t worry Chip, ya aren’t alone bud. I don’t invest too much other than being a fan. You and I can be the non-empathetic boomers together

@SteelChip but I’m 32 so you’re going to have to hold the title boomer for both of us lol

Lots of great, great Steelers over the years that is for sure but for me Mean Joe Green stands alone. It all started with Joe who is and will always be the face of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I remember when we drafted him and the Pittsburgh papers all said "Joe Who?" I was a teenager and thought the same thing but Mean Joe showed us all who the hell he was. One bad dude!

I've never watched that clown show. Why didn't you just watch the game on regular ESPN instead of that broadcast?

The absolutely absurd thing is TJ already gets held as much if not more than anyone in the league… he could have had SEVERAL more sacks yesterday… on the one highsmith sack the Browns lineman had two fists of watt from behind pulling him back trying to stop him from getting the sack… he, not highsmith, would have been first to bKer had that not happened… there were other less obvious ones, but that was the worse… and like almost all of them, uncalled despite a ref watching it

Truly hope LamaRB plays next week and Watt gets him a couple times. Be crazy to get the record in less than 16 games played.

The Clowns had bear hugs on Watt many times and nothing was called. It's like back when they changed the rules for Harrison and allowed them to hook the OLB around the neck as they went by. That still should be considered a hold. Now, they are letting teams put both arms around Watt and rarely if ever, call holding.

Can't be too dominant - well, unless you're anybody but a Steelers player. Shout out to Dan Moore for keeping Myles Garrett in check for the most part (and neutralizing him in the run game). There were some times Ben felt the pressure and just got the ball off and Garrett wasn't 100%, but was surprised at how much they left him 1 on 1 with him.

And shout out to that punter getting that punt off from the EZ (52 yards?) and coming through clutch throughout the game.

Let's check in on Browns franchise QB Baker Mayfield, see how he fared last night on MNF.

Mayfield completed his first pass against the Steelers to Jarvis Landry. It went for 20 yards. After that, things got ugly.

Each of Mayfield's next 10 passes fell incomplete, which marked the longest streak of incompletions since 2019. He had trouble getting the ball past the Steelers defensive line, which knocked down three passes, while his receivers logged a couple of drops. He also threw an interception during the streak where he didn't see David Njoku break open and tried to force it to Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Mayfield would eventually snap out of it a bit, but he still completed just 42.1 percent of his passes against Pittsburgh. That's good for the 12th-worst completion percentage among starting quarterbacks this year and is the second-worst mark of Mayfield's NFL career. He also became the first quarterback since 2017 to have five passes batted down at the line of scrimmage while being sacked at least five times.

Speaking of sacks, Mayfield was sacked nine times in this contest. That's tied for the most sacks in a single game this season.

Gulp.

Damn TJ had a hell of a game

4 sacks to get him to 21.5 for the year

Najee is a beast. yes we could use help on the oline, but he was worth the ******* pick

Green out and the running game looks better. I wonder if there is a correlation?

Offense still does stupid **** in the red zone

canada still sucks

Defense played well 9 sacks - holding chubb under 60 yards rushing

Nice win to likely close out Ben's last home game

Ben in vicorty formation = perfect ending
In all honesty, the Browns held Chubb to under 60 yds .

And TJ if they ask you for the Madden Cover. The answer is NO.
John Madden is the only option to be on the Madden cover this year. They need to make it happen.

Back to Watt, just dominant once again. Not only the sacks, but batted down two passes. Him and Heyward just dominate up front. You have to consider that Watt had a fifth sack lined up if he wasn't held and we saw Highsmith pick up his second instead. The sack record would've been destroyed in 16 games if Watt was healthy all season. Missed 2.5 games and was clearly unhealthy for two full games. Regardless, a brilliant season and a sign of greatness to be so consistently dominant ever week.

Witherspoon Replaces Haden try to bring Haden back on a 1 yr 4 mill deal+ incentives to battle Nelson I rather have haden as a 3 than a guy like Maulet.

Leglue sign 1 yr nonguaranteed retain JC Turner let go restructure Banner and let him and Chukes battle for RT, consider Banner as the possibility to slide to RG.
Dotson will be starting C. Seriously last I can find is Wisenhunt was with the Chargers till 2019, he did wonders with trick plays and simplifying a new offense for a young Ben, Tired of Matt Canada did not much.
he is not working with Chase needs time to work with former and current players in offseason camp to learn to catch back-shoulder throws. They won't fire Canada yet could bring wis as a consultant and if we see the same crap from Matt that can him ASAP next year.

Witherspoon replaces Haden no doubt. Liked what I’ve seen from him in his short time with the Steelers

I would back the Madden Cover. Good choice. I agree about TJ. But the way he plays you are not playing 16 or 17 games healthy. He is flying out there. Greatness doesn't come for free.
