In case you haven't heard, TJ posted a pic of himself giving "the deuces" sign to the camera. A lot of speculation has been given to this particular post. Was it:

- nothing, totally meaningless?
- a sign that he is out of here? With Pgh supposedly not making him the highest paid non-QB to Cleveland's Myles Garrett, he's saying "I'm outta here." He expects to be paid over the $40 mill a year the Browns are paying Myles and if Art/Pgh are resisting it, he's out. He IS at the magic age of over 30 and his performance the last half of the year dropped off a cliff so....

Is the cryptic post of TJ giving the "deuce sign" a message or not? What do you say? The win-loss ratio with/without TJ in the lineup is striking: They are like 1-12 without him in the line up.

Greetings to everyone! I have been suffering from constant pain for a long time, and I have found a very good service, using the services of which I was able to cure the constant pain from my injuries. The website is https://wаys2well.com/health/beyond-stem-cells , and so if you also suffer from pain and want to cure it, then I can suggest this website to you.
Could just be a chill pic, but with timing like that and all the contract talk? Feels like a message. Wouldn't be surprised if he's hinting he’s out if the money’s not right. That 1-12 stat without him is no joke—they better think hard before letting him walk.

I bet he assumed he deserves to be the highest paid and Art II vomited. $40 mill? And then TJ may have had a coronary. But he is on the wrong side of 30 now. And he didn't do jack sh-- the last month or two. (No sacks in last 3 weeks, 5 sacks in last 9 games). And let's be serious, he's never won a single playoff game in his career. It might not be looking too good right now in Pgh with Clown-lin in charge if they are lowballing him.

Not doing anything the last month of the season won Garrett the DPOY two years ago, I think Garrett went the final 6 or 7 games without a sack in 2023. :)

If you watch his highlights on NFL.com I think it was, teams really concentrated on stopping him the second half of the season, 3 guys alot of the time, the first half of the season teams were leaving him one on one more often, maybe a chip here or there and he cleaned up. Why not dedicate 3 guys to him when you know we won't change anything we do on defense?

IMO we don't have a QB contract, we aren't going to have one anytime soon, sign Watt, front load his contract a bit(he's the only superstar we have left) then by the time we need to pay a QB that we draft, it won't be for a minimum of 4 years from now and you can move on from Watt. What are we going to do with the money we don't give him? I don't trust Tomlin to do anything worth while with the money we'd save or the draft picks we'd get back from a trade. I'd rather just enjoy the last few seasons of an all time great for us.

My guess is that it probably amounts to nothing.

We know from last time that TJ is willing to negotiate hard to get as much as he can. Nothing wrong with that IMO. It's what I'd do as a player.

This just seems to be part of the process with players in the age of social media.

I think we also played some pretty good QBs.

And good QBs know the best thing to do against us is to get the ball out quick so they don't get to know Watt up close and personal.

Best of everything TJ and fam..
Throughly enjoyed watching you display some of the best outside pass rush of any nfl player I ever saw play the game!
I sincerely wish the team would of had greater success in playoffs over the years..
You were a true Pittsburgh Steeler .. minus a championship..
I know you will be happy back home in Green Bay..
Until we cross paths again!
Take care… God Bless!

He's 30, not the wrong side of 30 you miserable titstick. Myles is 29, just a year behind him in case you're math impaired also. There is still a good bit of contract years for them both. Myles just got a four year deal, TJ is probably looking for the same and the Steelers should give it to him.

Personally, I hope he goes to a winning team and get's his ring(s). He deserves to win. Great guy.

The year Garrett won DPOY, he did nothing the back half of the season, and his overall stats were all eclipsed by Watt. There is NO question Watt was DPOY in 2023, NO question at all to any real football fan (and not just a Steelers homer). He also should have won it the last time Donald won it.

Watt is still in his prime and should be for a few more seasons.

Gotta love Kahn
Has any other franchise in the league ever considered trading away their best defensive player AND offensive player in the same offseason??
What a Joke

Postering by TJ I think! This is his last opportunity to get paid and he’s going for it and I don’t blame him at all.
The Steelers don’t have to pay a QB so the money is there to pay TJ. He’s our best player and I believe the front office will pay him what he wants.
We need him on defense and without him would leave a huge void.
Five years 40 million per takes him to retirement and a one helmet guy as Art has mentioned.
They will get it done before the season.

Watt is smart and pretty social media savvy, he knew exactly what he was doing with this post. From what I gathered from JJ Watt's comments, the Steelers could've got a pretty good discount if they extended him last year or early this year. I'm not sure if he'll take less than Garrett.

There is business sense to trading Watt to a contender for a premium. From a fan perspective I want him to retire as a Steeler. I also know he's a competitor who wants to win in the playoffs and this team isn't trending in that direction

i cant believe i'm agreeing with KoreanBBQ.

front load TJ's contract. heavily front load it.

looking through the cap, there's only two teams who would make sense to trade him to - that would give him a legit shot at a Super Bowl. Green Bay and Detroit. Unfortunately for TJ, both draft after we do in this year's draft. So they'd have to work out some wild trade proposal - which would be interesting to dig through and speculate on.

As a fan of TJ, I want to see him retire as a Steeler.

As a fan of the team, I can’t help but wonder what could be done with the capital allowed by trading TJ.

As a business person, I recognize the need to completely re-tool and modernize in an effort to better compete. I also recognize that is a 2-3 year process and makes no sense to carry high dollar contracts through this period. Especially if moving those contracts results in assistance in modernizing said operations. I also recognize that the current antiquated leadership is not what is needed for the modernization and believe new blood is needed to lead into the new era.

Green Bay would be the best option. They are a legit contender and the “Home Town” team. The PR would be huge and TJ would rake in local endorsements.

I would hope to get more, but would be willing to accept their 25 & 26 1st rounders. I might even consider their 25 2nd and 26 1st & 2nd. Now that I think about it, I like the 1st an 2 2nd’s better, unless I could get 2 1st’s and a 2nd.

Who says we have? Seriously. Know nothings may claim it but I have seen nothing from anyone who matters that has even hinted at this crap. It is pure bullshit from **** flinging monkeys.
