That's the trouble. We get killed by that all the time. They tackle like holy hell and those short plays turn into 12-18 yard chunks.
If you saw consistent holes to hit today you are the only one. The Oline run blocking was not good today
Also Nix does need to play more but alot of people feel we need to be a pass first offense. I feel we have the personnel to be whatever is working against the opponent we are playing.
It is trues there wasn't much for holes to hit. Watson is more of a bruiser than Conner from what I have seen in preseason. That is the whole idea, if you can't find a hole, you make one. We used to wear down defenses with big backs, but we don't have a Bettis anymore.

I love Nix, but when we line up in traditional running formations our OLine can't blow people off the ball, they better at run blocking from spread formations

I don't know what you are basing that assertion on. We can agree that it is beautiful when a fullback blows up a linebacker.

Yes i see every game. And there is no way to say they run better from the spread then with a fullback as an offense. In todays game they looked better with a fullback. Doesn't mean they will next game. But they definitely dont always look better in the spread as i think you're alluding to
I love the FB, I should've clarified what I meant. We rarely use the FB, so when I say traditional I'm not including the FB because it's so rare. I'm talking two or 3 TEs, Ben under center and Bell in the back field, or the wr's bunched.
I'm all for more FB

Nix in the backfield is a big red flag for a running play. But when he's out there, he crushes people. Yesterday when the Oline was struggling, he was plowing over people. He does it on ST too. He gets overlooked because they are not a run first offense.

We are visiting Lake Erie this week and we ate here after the game. Food was ok. Waitress said they're usually busier after a Browns win. So without missing a beat I replied with "so business has been slow lately then".
