Did we not have the single greatest season by a pass rusher just last year? Tied the record in (effectively) about 13 games, and got screwed out of 1 in the last game...
For a healthy TJ, 30 sacks is not out of the question. I'm more worried about our opponents' pash rush.
 
as far as schedules go, cant really complain.

Yeah...I hate prime time but don't like 1 o'clock either. 4:25 is perfect. Can do something on a beautiful fall day, then watch football.

It's good to see someone else grounded in reality. All these "we're gonna show them who's tough" type of posts is a cross between sad and embarrassing. This isn't our daddy's Steelers. This is a very mediocre team overall and coached by morons. Pickett will only be able to do so much. We won several games last year that we would have lost had Ben not gone no-huddle.

I could see us having a 5-12 year. Sorry to say that but look at the schedule.

We open at Cincy to a team that lost in the Superbowl and will pull out all the stops to show they were not a fluke. Meanwhile we open with a new QB, who ever that is (Okay Mason Rudolph isn't new but if he is the starter it's a LONG year).

We next have the Pats at home and Belichek has our number.

We need to make more moves on the O line.
 
Zonaburgh, predicting that we are going to have a 5-12 season is NOT jumping off the wagon.

Perhaps it's recognizing our weaknesses?
 
I agree that we stay positive. We also have a right to be wrong. I sure hope I'm wrong and the Steelers do better than 5-12! (y)

I'm sure that Ironcitysteelers was simply regurgitating GILBERT's post in a jocular manner. Sadly, it seems you weren't sharp enough to pick up on that rather obvious correlation. Go back and re-read those posts about three or four times...you might understand it then.

And, btw, weren't you the guy talking about the Steelers winning 10 games if they drafted Pickett? Newsflash: They drafted Pickett.

The only good thing about primetime games right now is I work from home so I can sleep in if my body would let me but I still end up waking up around 5 AM. Plus, my wife will go to bed and I have to be quiet trying to watch the game. I usually have to scream into a pillow.

Does anyone else ever notice when someone says something negative (or in this case true) about the Steelers, they're "supposedly" just joking. When Ben said his "coach and GM didn't want him back" he was just joking too.

With regard to Pickett and winning 10 games, I'm hoping for the best but he won't be able to do it all on his own. We still haven't addressed the o-line to the extent needed, we resigned Edmunds instead of Honey Badger, we let Haden walk, we got Pickens instead of Sky in the draft, we haven't made a play to add AB or Bell to 1 year "prove it" deals, we still have inept coaching, etc., etc.

I heard that if we draft Pickett we will have a winning season. now granted I heard it from a ******** on a message board.
