WhoAley Sheeeeee--ite, week 16 already
I hope all have been enjoying the ride !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, we are coming off a hard loss. What could have been is hoping to not turn into a Groundhog Day reoccurrence. At 10-4 we still hold all the cards as we head into Baltimore to give them an asZ kicking.
It doesn't matter who is or who is not playing. It doesn't matter game plan, adjustments, talking heads, or what anyone here says as this is an "Arch Enemy" rivalry. It's been that way for a long time and is still the crown of rivalries in professional sports. "Arch" means only one and this is the one. Saturday is the season and beyond for this team, the players know it and have been tallying their Carrers' big games with this being the biggest.
A lot at stake as this would be homefield advantage for at least one playoff game, something that hasn't happened lately. Tomlin's "game Infront of you" should be front and center.!!!
As big as this game is, I'm confident in the outcome being in our beloved STEELERS favor, I HAVE HOPE

BACK STORY: I met Jeff close to 1980, he was delivering pipe to my employer and there was a problem with order. My boss told him he'd have to unload it by himself as it was their mistake. Almost impossible to do. Boss went into office, I'd witnessed the event and about a minute later, I went into office and said hay Jack, I have customers caught up so I'll get that truck unloaded and get them outta here. Got no response so I went ahead and helped Jeff unload. Instant friends but, with in 2 minutes I knew he was a good person. Add in the fact he was a steelers fan. To this day we continue to be personal and professional best friends.
UP DATE: This took place during the construction of Kordell's House, AKA Hienz Field. Jeff is from Maryland and his whole family is from there. They give him a lot of harassment as he is the ONLY Steelers fan amongst them. His Brother-in-law bragged about the company he worked for (out of baltimore) was doing the electronics for our score board. With-in the banter Jeff asked him for the cover page of one of the blueprints. The BIL said see what he could do. Jeff also told them about me, how much of a Steelers MAN I was and really wanted to get it for me. Jeff went out to visit them and while there asked BIL again about the blueprint cover and explaining to him how much that would mean to me as I was by far the biggest sincere steelers fan he had ever known. Couple days later BIL had Jeff over for BBQ and low and behold, gave him the cover sheet saying he asked his boss, and it was ok.
All this was un-Benoist to me.
Jeff got back and set a business lunch with me. We get to place to eat, and he comes in with blueprint and lays it out, drawing a small friend crowd as we were at my popular sports bar. He told the story of how he obtained it an how he wanted to get it for me due to my loyalty and unsurpassed fandom. I was so taken aback I dang neared cried, thanking him profusely. I went and got 6 full size professional copies made, of course giving Jeff one as that's all he wanted. I held the copies with a vow to give a copy to ONLY the most elite STEELERS fan(s) I come across. I have given only 1-copy away and it was to a very deserving fan but more importantly, friend.
This Blueprint cover page is absolutely amazing and a true live piece of Heinz Field. It is my most valued Steelers possession, not just for the physical page, but for the true meaning and passion it took from those to make it to fruitarian for me. Thank You Jeff
I'd like to hear any and all stories of Steelers memorabilia, big or small but most important as to why it means so much to you.
Thank You to all who read my story, appreciate yaz.
