As much as you easterners hate the night game it’s nice for us pacific time zone people once in a while. Nice to have a before dinner time game. Put in my pork shoulder in the slow cooker early Saturday morning. Pulled pork buns on the menu with roasted squash from the garden. With fried rice. The place smells like perfection.
Beautiful sunny day on the Wild West coast of BC. The Pug has had his beach walk, the beer is cold….the phone is on silent….lets bring it on!! Try and stay awake you old *****!

I made my annual pulled pork, Friday. Put it on mesquite @ midnight, wrapped with blackberry ice cubes at @ 6:30. Basted it with bourbon, brown sugar and honey and re-wrapped @ 11am. Added shredded mesquite and un-wrapped @ 1400. Removed from the Egg, wrapped again, this time with butter chunks and moved to the cooler @ 1500. In a food coma about 1700. Pulled and packaged almost 30# for this winter’s enjoyment.

Of all the frikkin days for a Rain Delay it happens on a Sunday night when I've got to work early Monday morning.....anyone else have luck like me?

Yeah, I'm not sold on the farmer.
First SEC game was nearly blown in the second half while the second one was the worst Bama loss as long as I can remember ( and I'm old lol).

On a tastier note, I made egg fried rice with gochujang chicken for the game.

I will take a pic next time I do it, but I wrap my Pork Shoulder in 6 or 7 wraps of foil. and then put into embers from a fire that I start the day before. my biotherm goes to 999 degrees and it hits that in seconds. have no clue how hot it actually is.
put it in the ember for about 30 minutes then flip. finish off on the grill with a pan on top of grill. I burned myself last time I did it, but I was in about a 12 pack.
